More For The FamILY
A/N: yeah yeah, these first ones are all Neko AU's of the Sides. Sorry bout that. This was originally going to be all Neko Sanders sides oneshots but I just wanted to write whatever. Anyways, for any requests, I posted on a later chapter called Requests so look for that to request!
Logan was sitting on the couch reading Stars In Our Atmosphere, a very interesting book in his opinion. His gray ears were twitching with interest, his tail curled around one of his arms.
Virgil walked in, his scent filling Logan's body. Logan placed his book down on the coffee table and stood, making his way towards the other. Virgil watched him, dark grey tail swishing behind him, and one eyebrow raised in curiousity, forgetting how sensitive Logan was to Virgil's scent, or just any neko's scent.
Logan grabbed Virgil's wrist, lightly, not meeting the latters powerful brown eyes. The light glinted off of Logan's glasses as he mumbled out, "I request your presence beside mine on the couch, preferably initiating contact. You are allowed to decline, of course." A light blush dusted Virgil's facr as he took in what was being asked. He let his face take on a small smile as he guided them to the couch, Logan slightly perked up as he had understood what this action meant.
They settled down together, Virgil sitting upright with Logan tucked into his side, Virgil's tail wrapped around the other neko's waist. Logan grabbed his book and released a quiet, short purr, showing his gratitude, before he continued to read.
-------------------------
"I'm gonna get something to eat." Virgil said after a long while, withdrawing his tail from around his friend. Logan looked up, correcting Virgil's grammar. Rolling his eyes, Virgil moved off of the couch, earning a low whine from Logan, before the latter winced at his reaction. Straightening, (yeah right!) Logan nodded, glancing away from Virgil.
"I apologise for my...reaction to your removal. You may do as you please." Logan cleared his throat, once again annoyed at how needy this sensitivity made him. Virgil walked out after giving a two-fingered salute.
In the kitchen, Virgil opened a cabinet to grab the bread and Crofters. He got a spoon and took a bite from the jar, only to pause as something caught his eye. Turning slightly, spoon still in his mouth, Virgil saw that the sunlight was shining through the window, hitting the counter in a warm glow. Imagining how pleasant it would feel to lay there in the sun, he placed the items, including the spoon, down. Quickly turning to his cat form, he hopped on the counter, stretching and curling up in the sun.
It felt just as great as he had thought it would, if not better. His nose twitched as he felt a shadow pass outside, momentarily taking away the warmth. His dark fur gleaned in the light, except for a few spots that were dirty here and there.
-----------------------------
Logan paused from reading, concerned as to where Virgil was. He had said he was going to get some food, yet it was taking quite a while for such a simple task. Once again, he placed his book down to see if there was something troubling the other.
As be entered the kitchen, the first thing he noticed was the pleasant scent that marked another Neko nearby, sending a tingling shiver through him. The second thing he noticed was the bread and an open jar of Crofters sitting on the counter, a spoon that had clearly just been used, beside it. The last thing he noticed was the small creature laying in the sun of a window, pelt twinkling playfully, with a rhymthetic breathing pattern, as if asleep.
He walked over with a slight smile spreading on his face and grabbed the spoon and jar, eating it while running his gaze over the cats form. Placing it back down after a moment, he walked over to the cat and laud a hand on the fur gently, slowly petting him. This action woke Virgil who lifted his head in confusion, though purring strongly from the sensitivity of his fur.
Flicking his tail, Logan turned into a cat as well, curling up into Virgil. "is this alright?" He asked, knowing that he would need consent as Virgil was in a tired and relaxed state and found easily become anxious. Virgil ducked his head and licked Logan's face as a reply, too tired to use his words.
If they had been in their human forms, a dark red would have noticably stained Logan's face, but as he was a cat, there was none to be seen. Although his ears burned, his whiskers twitching.
Logan hesitated before returning the gesture to Virgil who started purring once more. This continued until their entire coats had been cleaned and we're gleaming.
(I sorta want to just stop right there but...i wrote a lot more.)
They heard a door open and shut, and looked up, as reluctant as they were.
The scent of their owner, Thomas, washed through the house, as normal for when he returned, but this time it was accompanied by other scents. Neko's. Now alert, the drowsiness left the two's bodies and they quickly turned to their human-like forms again and went to see what was going on. They paused.
Thomas held a large, damp box. He looked up as he saw his 'pets' and out down the box, grinning sheepishly. "Oh, hey guys!"
Logan's body was literally quivering from the rush of all the new scents and it wasn't very comforting for him. He knew he wouldn't make a very serious impression if he shows the sensitivity, and so he stepped back, a bit closer to Virgil and his welcome, familiar scent that was now smelling of anxiety.
"I had been walking past a pet store when I noticed this box being thrown out," Thomas began, " and i got, well, curious. Turned out there were cats!" His brown eyes danced around the room, stopping on the box. Opening the box, four cats were revealed, as their scents had promised. They were all easily distinguished as toms.
The first was a mixture of ginger and black, with twists of cream and gold in the fur, in a blended mix, or brindled. He had heterochromia, one eyes yellow and the other, brown.
The second one was a tabby, light gray fur with darker, vertical stripes running from his spine to his belly, and eyes, a cheerful morning blue.
The third had a white coat with ginger randomly spotting the pelt, his eyes a clashing gray.
The final tom was similar to the ginger-and-white. His spotting identical, except instead of ginger, they were a rusty color.
They all transformed to their Neko, human-like forms. The first ones hair a glinting brown and yellow, highlights of black decorating it. He stood shorter than the others abd wore a full black and yellow outfit, dirty. His gaze ran over Logan and Virgil's forms, making Virgil rather uncomfortable, and stopping at a rest on their faces, flicking back and forth between the two. It surprised them to see the left side of his face torn to scars, along his mouth as well. Noticing the staring, "Yes, do stare. I adore the subtleness of it." He drawled with a roll of the eyes
The tabby was a little taller than him. " Hey, kiddos! Im Patton, this is Janus, and these two," he gestures to the alike ones, " are Roman and Remus!" Patton wore dirty jeans and a poll that had a few dull areas, a gray hoodie hanging off his shoulders, which he fixed with a large grin covering his face. (He doesn't have glasses yet, so he isn't aware he sees badly)
The taller of the twins, a gray streak in his wild, rusty hair, waved violently, tail waving excitably. His outfit was completely torn and dirtied to where the colors were unknown and his scent gave off a tint of weakness.
His twin was a bit neater. He bowed to Virgil and Logan, ginger hair falling over his eyes, tail twitching with energy. His outfit was cleaner, a brownish white and damp. "Greetings, fair ones! I am Prince Ran and this is my dear brother Duke, Remus!" He announced loudly, annoying Virgil.
Virgil gave his usual salute, noticing the Remus stood closer to Roman and Roman stood protectively over his brother. "Sup." Virgil muttered out, glancing at his owner who was on the sidelines, watching.
Logan gave a barely noticable nod. "Salutations, I am Logan and this is Virgil." He spoke, but it seemed to fall deaf on Roman who looked at Patton. Patton mumbled quickly to him before smiling again.
"Sorry! Roman sometimes has problems hearing and listening!" The Neko chuckled.

After a while of them talking, Thomas got up and turned to the six cat folk. "I've got to go get collars and care items for you all, so I'll be back later. Any of you have preferances for clothes?" He asked, scanning the new four.
Roman and Remus looked at Patton, who was older than the two. " I like lighter clothes!" Patton said. "Roman likes white and red l, more princely stuff, and Remus like black and green, more wild stuff." He nudged Janus who had zoned out for a bit.
"Mm, no?" Janus questioned, forgetting he had forgot to explain his way of speaking. Patton sighed.
"He likes black and yellow, especially formal stuff." Patton told Thomas, adding, " if you see any nice skirts, could you get some? For any of us?" Thomas nodded, while Janus scrunched up, not liking that last part. With a quick word of farewell, Thomas left for the store.

Okay. That's all I got. Sorry. I didn't know where else to go with this. Hope you enjoyed...whatever this was.
