Join The Cuddles

A/N: ...Just letting you know that I got pretty... carried away..as you can tell by the trigger warning- Request above^

TW: kink 'joke', sorta dirty stuff implied, Remus eating on the roof, and, er- how do I word this...Remus gagged and...tied up? This probably sounds pretty bad...

Janus was in his room, just laying on his bed and thinking. He had apologized to Roman for his 'cruel' comparison to his twin brother, Remus. To be fair, Roman had admitted something that was known as sacred among the Sides, something that many of them had seemed to forget throughout their time. Patton, revealing Logan's name; the three trying to pressure Virgil into revealing his name; Roman making a bit of fun at Virgil's name; and then Roman laughing at his own name. So, it was totally in Janus' rights to say what he did, though everyone had said otherwise. He was given no choice but to apologize. At least Roman had forgiven him and put aside the hard feelings.

Janus turned to his side, deciding not to ponder any longer. He stood and left his room, grabbing his hat and capelet as he headed out.

Downstairs, Janus was going to head into the kitchen, except he noticed something as he passed by the couch. The others, Logan, Patton, Virgil and Roman, were laying on the couch together. Logan was spread out; Virgil curled up into a ball against his side, tucked into him; Patton with his arms wrapped around the two, pressed into Logan's chest; Roman laying with his head on Patton's back, sideways and with his legs thrown over the couch. They appeared to be asleep, except that Patton was whispering to Logan who kept releasing quiet groans, and Roman was poking Patton's cheek and swinging his legs a little, hardly noticeable. Patton glanced up when he saw the light change, and gestured for Janus to come join with a smile.

Janus slowly backed away, feeling weirdly uncomfortable and not wanting to interrupt them, especially since Virgil and Logan still were very.. bothered by him, so to say. Virgil and him had never gotten along while Logan was irritated about the whole taking his place in the video thing (yet he had forgiven Patton for clicking the button and all that, Janus thought grudgingly.)
Back upstairs now, Janus went to find Remus to hang out with (totally not to hide any hurting from what he had witnessed downstairs~) and passed by Remus' door and paused. Normally there would be some kind of sound coming from in there but nothing was heard. That definitely didn't worry him. He knocked but didn't get any answer.

Besides a muffled, 'Mmph!'

Oh yeah, Janus really didn't want to enter now. He looked at the door with an expression the just screamed, 'I shouldn't be doing this', as he reached for the knob slowly. Twisting it and then releasing, letting it open on it's own, Janus looked at the sight before him and sighed in exhausted amusement.

"Remus," he started, rubbing the bridge of his nose. "care to explain why you are tied up and gagged in the middle of your floor?" He questioned, moving forward after closing the door.

Remus had a black ('is that leather?') blindfold wrapped around his mouth to gag him; he was on his knees with his arms behind him, tied with chains. Janus crouched in front of him and undid the gag before moving onto the chains. "Hiya, Double D!" Remus cheered, grinning. Janus ignored Remus, blocking view of his smirk.

"Again, why are you like this?" He silently prayed that the answer wouldn't be-

"Waiting for you, D~ Why else would I get all clean and tied up?" Remus winked. Janus huffed and poked Remus' chin after removing the chains, setting them on the floor beside them.

"Ah, but seriously. What happened to you?" Remus let out a loose laugh before beaming.

"Turns out Virgil has a kink where-" Janus interrupted him with a swat to the head. "Okay, okay! He just got annoyed with my pestering and did this, then left to go sleep! Is that what you wanted to hear?" Remus laughed while Janus stood. "So, what was it you needed?'

A few days had passed and again, Janus walked in on the others cuddling. Patton didn't notice him this time, however, Logan did. The four were laying in front of the couch: Logan sitting against it with Roman's head in his lap, running his fingers through the latters hair; Patton curled up against Roman and holding Virgil in his arms. When Logan noticed Janus walk by and pause, he jerked his head, inviting Janus in.

Janus shook his head and fled from the scene, his heart aching. Back to Remus' room, back to ignoring the weird hurt. And, again, he walked in on a weird scene.

Remus was on the ceiling, sitting with his legs crossed and eating a bowl of noodles, as if this was normal. Spotting Janus, he stood and let the bowl drop to the floor and proceeded to jump, making him fall to the ground grinning. "Why can't you be normal?" Janus drawled. "Want to watch a movie?"

"Rated R or TV-MA~?" Remus waggled his eyebrows, getting another swat in the head from Janus. "Fine- just something gory!"

-

Yet again, the Sides were curled up on the couch and Janus had seen. How many times would he have to endure the pain? He wanted to bad to join, he knew he would be welcomed by both Logan and Patton, but Virgil and Roman still hadn't warmed up to him. There was no way he would be able to, even if they all let him. He just wasn't that comfortable with them still.
So, yet again, he was off to find Remus.

He wasn't in his room, or anywhere else Janus could think of him being. So nothing could occupy him at the moment. Not particularly happy with this news, Janus sat down at the top of the stairs. The others couldn't see him (well, they could see him black boots probably) and he couldn't see them.

That just meant he was alone with his thoughts, which was unappealing but there wasn't really anything else for him to do. Except for clean. But he wasn't going to do that, of course.
He just wished he was good enough to join the others in their activities, a thought that made him cringe at the want and pouting.

-

Patton turned around in the cuddle pile, holding Roman closer as the patter burrowed into his chest. It made Patton smile, until he glanced at the stairs and saw a pair of black boots peaking by. Knowing who it was, he sat up (receiving grumbles and a hiss from his cuddle-buddies) and headed over to the stairs.

Janus looked up in surprise, but not before Patton saw his cute little pout. He, Patton, sat down beside Janus and pulled him in some. "What's wrong, kiddo?" he asked. Janus shrugged, so Patton had to guess. "Is it because you can't find Remus?" A half shrug. "Is it because you want to join me and the others in the cuddle pile?"

Janus hesitated before reluctantly nodding. You never lie to Patton, that's just common knowledge in the Mindscape.

"Well, come join us then!" Patton smiled, thinking it was that simple. That Janus was a bit too uncomfortable to ask and needed prodding instead. Except Janus quickly shot that down, making Patton ask why.

"Virgil and Roman both hold grudges against me, that is obviously very clear. And I would feel like I was intruding since this is something you four do often so I can't jus-"

Patton cut Janus off, "Awh, kiddo, they don't hold grudges against you! Sure, Virgil is still distanced but Roman forgave you! And you wouldn't be intruding, we've let you know you couldn't join before, haven't we?" Janus still didn't seem to believe him so Patton sighed and pulled the other into him.

Janus let out a squeak-making Patton coo-as he was hugged fiercely. It was different, to say the least.

And it was even more different when Patton pulled him up, "C'mere," and held his hand as they headed down the stairs. "Hey, kiddos!" Patton cheered. Roman pushed himself up into a sitting position, raising an eyebrow. Virgil let out a quiet hiss but didn't move. Logan gave a short greeting and waited for Patton to say whatever he was surely going to.

"Would you guys mind if Janus joined in?" Patton questioned. Janus shrunk in on himself, not wanting to seem desperate or to look like he wanted to do that, but he knew that they all knew. It was completely obvious.

Virgil yanked on Roman's arm, making him fall back into a laying position, and Virgil got comfortable again. "Nah, he's fine, I guess. Jus' no talkin'." Virgil mumbled.

They all got comfortable, Janus still hesitant to which Roman pulled the snake over him and wrapped his arms around his waist.

Silence as they relaxed together, Janus hiding a smile in a blanket (or a shirt, he wasn't sure) and listened to the steady breathing of the others. He was glad he had revealed his name and chosen to do more good...

A/N: So sorry. I'm sure it didn't go as expected, dear Requester. I wasn't really sure either and sorry if the format was wrong. I'm sure it was, along with the Hurt/Comfort genre. Anyways, I hope you enjoyed.
