Dysphoria (Logic x Prince)
Roman is transgender in this one, and it's an AU. Just a heads up, unless it's requested any trans side oneshot I write is probably super vent-y lol, so it's usually going to be at least slightly angsty. So, warnings: mild discomfort at not passing and being referred to in feminine ways
Also the Spanish which I used google translate for is just "I love you, my prince" cause I feel like after Logan learned Spanish specifically to insult him he'd also learn it to say cheesy stuff cause why not (I used it in an old oneshot too but oh well lol-)
Roman stared in front of him, hands on the edge of the bathroom counter, bottom lip tugged between his teeth. He scanned over his appearance for what was probably the hundredth time, focusing mostly on his chest. If he looked at it long enough he still felt like it was obvious that it wasn't flat. He could really tell it wasn't flat when he turned to look at himself from the side.
Roman sighed, looking back down at the bathroom countertop. He put his makeup away again. As much as he loved wearing makeup, loved trying new and extravagant looks, he just couldn't do it lately. It hurt too much. He loved it, but he knew that if he could barely pass without makeup, he definitely couldn't pass with it.
"What's wrong?" Logan asked almost immediately as Roman saw him for the first time later that day. He could tell instantly that something was wrong, and Roman hated him for that. Not really, but he didn't really want to talk about it.
"Nothing," Roman shrugged, putting on a grin and walking over to sit beside of his boyfriend. He clung to his side immediately, leaning into him as Logan wrapped an arm around his shoulder. Roman gestured to Logan's book when he looked over at him, looking up at him from his chest. "What are you reading?"
"Roman," Logan said firmly, looking at Roman seriously. He bookmarked his page, setting his book aside and turning his full attention to Roman. "What is the issue? It is not wise to ignore it."
Roman didn't say anything, glancing down briefly at himself. He looked back up at Logan, frowning now, and Logan nodded in understanding.
"Roman," he spoke softly. He had been with his boyfriend for a while, but he still couldn't keep his blush off his cheeks every time he wanted to say anything affectionate. He didn't care how embarrassing it was, however, if it meant that Roman might feel a little better about himself. "I know you may not feel like it, but you do look incredibly handsome, Roman. I could say with complete honestly that you are the most attractive man I have ever met."
Roman smiled half-heartedly. Logan was very sweet, and he did feel happy hearing his words, but he didn't really know how to explain the complete reasoning behind his bad mood. He decided to just leave it at that, leaning up to press a short kiss to Logan's chin, the closest spot he could reach from where he was sitting. "Thanks, Logan."
Logan smiled, shifting and pulling Roman up so he could kiss him properly. Roman returned the kiss happily, arms wrapping loosely around Logan's waist as he moved closer. They both smiled as they pulled away, Roman leaning closer to Logan to rest his forehead against his shoulder. Logan pressed a kiss to the top of his head, muttering. "Te amo mi príncipe."
Roman smiled a little wider, pulling Logan closer to him. He laughed softly, kissing his shoulder where he was still laying. "I love you too, nerd."

A week had passed since Logan had comforted Roman.
Roman found himself once again standing in front of his bathroom mirror, scanning his appearance. However, he wasn't looking at his reflection disapprovingly this time. In fact, he actually felt like he looked very nice today. He felt like he passed very well-well enough that he could get away with wearing makeup and not feeling like he was going to be misgendered much.
He knew he was going out later with his boyfriend to meet with Patton and Virgil. They were going to hang out over at their shared apartment, and they would likely end up going out for food or something so he wasn't just doing his makeup and staying home all day. So, he took his time applying his makeup, having fun with it.
"Roman?" Logan called as he pushed open the already slightly opened door to the bathroom. Roman had just finished putting on some dark lipstick as he walked in, putting the lid back on and putting it away. He turned to face Logan, who smiled at him. "You look nice. Are you ready to go?"
Roman nodded, putting the rest of his makeup away and soon enough the two were on their way to their friends' apartment. It didn't take long to get there, and it definitely didn't take long for them to answer the door. Almost immediately after Roman knocked on the door it flung open revealing Patton, grinning at them excitedly. Virgil was in the living room behind him, and he waved as they came in.
"Hey!" Patton greeted excitedly as he invited them in, smiling over at Roman as he saw his makeup. "You look so pretty, Roman!"
Pretty. Roman barely stopped himself from flinching at his words, feeling a stabbing pain in his chest at hearing it. He offered a small, awkward smile, thanking him quietly. He was glad when Patton immediately launched into a different conversation so no one would notice his fallen mood.
He tried to tell himself that it was just a word. It didn't have to be gendered. Patton was just trying to be nice and compliment his makeup, and Roman did appreciate it. He knew his friend didn't mean to upset him. However, he still wound up asking Virgil if he had any makeup wipes he could borrow, making up an excuse and disappearing to wipe all of his makeup off. He seemed to get away from it without drawing much attention to his discomfort, but he didn't notice Logan's concerned stare following him as he walked away.

"Hey," Logan sat down next to Roman on the couch, close enough for their knees and shoulders to be touching. Roman looked over at him, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
"Hello, my love." He said back, grinning. Logan shook his head with a smile of his own, kissing Roman on the lips.
"I have... a bit of an odd request." Logan started nervously, smile falling and Logan's face showing none of his feelings again. Roman raised an eyebrow at him, feeling a little worried. "It is nothing negative. I was simply going to ask if you might... do my makeup?"
"That's definitely an off request from you," Roman muttered, laughing softly. He was relieved that nothing was wrong, but a little confused. He didn't know why Logan wanted makeup, but he decided it didn't really matter. "Yeah, just let me go get my makeup."
He somewhat reluctantly rose from his comfy spot on the couch beside of Logan, walking to the bathroom to get his makeup. He hadn't touched it since they had gone over to Patton and Virgil's a few days ago. He had thought about it once or twice, just doing it inside where he didn't have to go out and be misgendered but he still couldn't do it. It was frustrating, because he really enjoyed to wear it but he just couldn't do it.
He returned to Logan quickly, setting his makeup down on the couch beside of Logan. He pulled both of his feet up onto the couch, sitting cross legged, and Logan did the same so they were facing each other. Roman quietly muttered to Logan to take his glasses off, Logan listening as Roman pulled a few things out of his makeup bag.
"What exactly do you want?" He asked, looking up at Logan who was squinting at him without his glasses. Roman smiled a little at him, seeing Logan shrug his shoulders.
"I don't know. Do something you think would look nice, I suppose." He mumbled. "I don't know anything about makeup."
Roman tapped Logan on the nose with his finger, laughing softly as he drew back in surprise. "There," he muttered, smiling. "You look perfect."
Logan's face flushed and he shook his head, but he had a small smile on his lips. "Thanks, but I would still like for you to do my makeup."
"Alright," Roman chuckled, pulling Logan into a short kiss before he started to do his makeup. He decided to just do something simple. He thought it would be a little weird to see Logan in the kind of makeup Roman typically wore, and it seemed more fitting for him to have just a little bit on.
"Like it?" Roman asked, turning a mirror to Logan for him to look at. Logan took the mirror from Roman, putting his glasses back on before looking it over and smiling.
"It is nice." He looked over at Roman, handing the mirror back and reaching down to take Roman's hand. "Thank you. You should do yours, too."
Roman smiled weakly over at Logan, looking into the mirror he was now holding. He looked down at his makeup, and then up at Logan again. If Logan was wearing it too, why shouldn't Roman put some on? He felt a little bit better about it now, and nodded.
Logan sat with him as he put his own makeup on, talking quietly for a while. Logan paused for a moment, glancing over at Roman who was distracted trying to do his eyeliner. "Patton and Virgil invited us over for a movie night."
Roman froze up a little, pausing briefly in putting his eyeliner on. He went back to it immediately, not wanting Logan to notice but he already had. Roman shrugged, forcing a smile. "Okay. Sounds fun."
"Good, we'll need to leave as soon as you're done getting ready." Logan mentioned, turning away from Roman to read his book and wait. Roman felt like something else was going on with Logan, but he wasn't sure what so he didn't say anything. He guessed he would see when they got to Patton and Virgil's.
Roman felt nervous and awkward, standing outside of Virgil and Patton's apartment. His stomach was twisting itself in knots, and he wanted to just run and wipe all of his makeup off of his face. He didn't, though, he stood still and waited. Logan knocked on the door, and soon enough it was opening.
Roman recoiled a little in surprise as he saw Patton had opened the door. He stared at him curiously, looking from him then over to Logan and suddenly understanding why he had asked Roman to do his makeup that morning.
Patton was also wearing makeup. It was simple, but not quite as little as Logan was wearing. Glancing behind him Roman could also see that Virgil was wearing more makeup than he usually put on, and despite him wearing making almost daily it was odd to see them all wearing makeup.
"What... why is everyone wearing makeup?" Roman voiced his thoughts, looking around at each of them. Patton smiled softly over at him, looking over at Logan and letting him explain. Logan took Roman's hand, leading him inside of their apartment before they started talking.
"We just noticed that... well, you seemed to feel bad whenever you were wearing makeup. I noticed last time we were over here that you were upset at Patton's comment, and washed your makeup off." Logan said, and Roman felt his face heat up. He really had hoped no one would notice that.
"Sorry, by the way." Patton cut in, frowning over at Roman. "I didn't meant to make you uncomfortable."
"It's... that's okay. I know you didn't." Roman smiled at him nervously. "It was just me overthinking it. But-well, this doesn't really explain why you're all wearing makeup now. What does that have to do with anything?"
"We just thought that maybe seeing other guys like you wearing makeup might make you feel a little better." Virgil added in, shrugging. "Maybe help you realize that wearing makeup doesn't make you any less of a man. It doesn't make you look like less of a man."
"I think it makes you look even more handsome," Logan commented with a small smile and a blush. He wrapped an arm around Roman, pressing a kiss to his forehead. "If makeup makes you happy, then you should be able to wear it without feeling bad."
Roman looked around at all of them, tears gathering in his eyes. He flashed a small smile, leaning into Logan's arms and opening his other arm for his friends to join their hug too. He held them all close, mumbling 'thank yous' to all of them, leaning up to kiss Logan. They were all smiling when they parted from the hug, Roman wiping the tears from his eyes and looking at all three of them.
"What did I do to deserve such amazing friends, and an amazing boyfriend?" He asked quietly, laughing along with them. "God, you're all stupid, though. Made me actually like wearing makeup again, and then you made me cry. I'm going to ruin it."
They all laughed a little harder at that, helping him to calm down and stop crying. They all four ended up on the couch, each couple of separate sides. It was only after a while of talking with each other that they remembered they had originally come to watch a movie. They ended up watching one of Roman's favorites.
Roman looked up at Logan after a while of watching, Logan looking back at him.
"Thanks again," Roman mumbled, kissing Logan. "You really are the best. I love you."
"And I love you," Logan whispered back, holding him a little closer. "My amazing, handsome prince."
This was meant to be finished............. a lot earlier lmao, whoops. I was gonna finish this and another oneshot tonight but that is clearly not happening. I didn't honestly even realize it was this late aha.
I also said recently I was gonna try and stop updating at 5AM. That really worked out, didn't it? It's 7 now. I'm dumb.
Anyways, hopefully tomorrow I'll upload two more oneshots cause I've got two ideas that I need to work on. They were supposed to be done first but well........ why do that when I could just write a character that's basically just me disguised as one of the characters I write about?? But give them the happy ending that I can't have????? Sounds a lot more fun lmao.
Honestly, I really really love reading oneshots about the sides liking makeup or "feminine" clothing bc it makes me feel a lot better. Like..... Idk why, but just because it bugs me sometimes to wear stuff like makeup and dresses even tho in some cases I actually like them. I feel like I can't bc I'm a trans dude and if I don't dress like a dude I don't pass and I hate it. It's the worst. I just wanna look like a cute boy who's wearing makeup, or whatever. I don't want to not pass in those things.
But whatever, it isn't the time for ranting. It is time to go the fuck to sleep, so I'm going to go sleep. Have some pictures of me in makeup before I go tho lol cause why not
The first one was actually taken on my birthday. The last one was on Halloween. Both of those days are when I got my new ear piercings lol. (Also thats why I have weird stuff on my face in the last one, I was a dragon-human hybrid thing, it was cool here's my wings)
Lmao yeah okay that's enough photos I'll go now-
Thanks so much for reading this, I hope you liked this oneshot. *we all meet up to fangirl/boy/person over Sanders Sides and there's ring pops and blanket forts and pizza* Thanks so much Paradox-Puzzler for the ring pop suggestion! Take good care of yourselves. Love you all. Bye!-Bob
