Drunk Doodles (Logic x Prince)
Vampire AU cause I found a cute prompt for it. And yes I made them look a bit different in this(mostly Logan). Also I apologize for not being on much aha, I've been.... very unmotivated lately. You can all blame depression for that
It was early morning when Logan had found Roman, empty bottles on the table beside of the couch he was slumped against. He glanced up at Logan as he took in the unusually disheveled appearance of the vampire, not seeming to care that the other was seeing him like this.
Logan had questions, but he also knew it was unlikely he would get any answers any time soon. So instead he took the bottle offered to him and decided to sit with his quiet roommate, deciding to wait until the answers came unprompted.
He wasn't entirely sure how he had ended up just as drunk as Roman, lying on the dirty floor of the apartment he would never think to touch normally, but at the time it hadn't seemed important. All he wanted was to get to the bottom of Roman's current problem. He had known that something was troubling him, but questioning Roman on things only ever seemed to end in them arguing, so Logan learned to stay quiet until his moods ended or he confided in Logan on his own. However in his current state Logan figured that he may be a little more open to discussing things. He was about to ask the question on his mind when Roman spoke up for him.
"Does it ever.... bother you?" He asked, staring at the ceiling and tapping his fingers against the bottle loosely held in his hands. "How we are now?"
"You mean, being vampires?" Logan questioned, glancing towards where Roman was laying. Roman paused for a second, staring at the ceiling a few moments longer as if contemplating and then nodding his head.
"Yes," he sighed. "Being a vampire. Do certain things about it ever bother you?"
"What kind of things?" Logan asked calmly, still watching Roman. He noticed the sheet covering the window letting in a bit of light and wondered how long they had been sitting in silence before now.
"I don't know," Roman huffed. He did know; he just wasn't sure whether to say or not. Eventually he sighed again and spoke, softer now. "I guess..."
His next words were too soft for Logan to understand. Logan carefully requested for him to repeat himself, not fully expecting the frustrated response.
"I'm never going to see what I look like again," he snapped, looking annoyed. He glanced at Logan who hadn't stopped watching him, anger melting and embarrassment taking its place. "It's just... I hadn't really noticed it before, but..."
Roman took a minute to continue, and Logan didn't push him. Instead, he shuffled wordlessly over on the floor so their shoulders were touching, averting his gaze from Roman to the ceiling. Roman glanced at him for a moment before also looking back up, seeming to relax next to Logan. He opened his mouth to speak once more, voice still soft but audible.
"I forgot what I look like. I hadn't really thought about it for so long... it just started to seem normal that I didn't show up in mirrors so I stopped looking. It only just occurred to me that I hadn't thought about it in so long I couldn't remember my own face. It's... weird. Scary." Roman admitted, and when Logan felt his hands nervously gripping his shirt next to him he made a split second decision to take ahold of it. His face burned when he saw Roman turn to him out of the corner of his eye, clearly questioning, but he kept his gaze up. After a moment he felt Romans hand return his loose grip, feeling relieved.
"I... can understand that." Logan agreed. He had forgotten his own face long before; he was a little older than Roman despite them both having turned at the same age. Getting used to living the way they do, even after hundreds of years, was difficult. "It is... very strange. I was scared, too."
Roman turned to look at Logan and frowned. "You never mentioned that to me."
"There's a lot about my emotions I don't mention to others," Logan quipped, and immediately regret it. He would never admit to that usually, and he knew he would most likely not hear the end of it for a while. He ignored the look that Roman sent him and sighed. "I thought we were talking about you."
"Yeah, but I'm not as important as-"
"Don't." Logan cut him off quickly. Roman stayed quiet and Logan looked over at him, face burning once more as he noticed the lack of space between them. "Your troubles are equally as important as mine."
The two fell silent, Roman silently agreeing not to argue about that. The next few minutes were uncomfortable, each of them wondering what to say to distract from the previous comments. Eventually Logan thought of something, propping himself up on his elbow to look at Roman without straining his neck.
"We could describe each other." He suggested, then added on at the confused look he was given. "So we know what we look like. It might help."
Roman thought for a moment, nodding slowly. "Or," he added on, raising a brow, lips quirking upwards. "We could try and draw each other?"
"That could work," Logan nodded, returning the small smile from the younger vampire. He was happy to see the other beginning to cheer up already. He watched as Roman excitedly jumped up, moving to grab some paper and colored pencils.
He returned quickly, setting a sheet of paper in front of Logan and one in front of himself, pencils dropped in the middle for either of them to grab. They both quickly got to work, glancing up at each other periodically. Roman was grinning widely which Logan was happy to see, and a smile of his own made an appearance as he drew.
Just as Logan had finished up Roman's drawing was shoved right under his nose, startling him. He looked up at Roman with a joking glare, passing his paper over as he studied the drawing that was supposed to be of him. He stared at it for a while, staying silent as he scanned everything. "You... you have the drawing skills of a preschooler."
Roman snorted. "Like yours is any better. I may not remember my own face but I know it has to be more handsome than this."
Logan rolled his eyes, snatching his paper back from Roman and setting both of them down in front of them. "It is dark and here, and we are both drunk. I don't know how either of us found this to be a good idea to begin with."
Roman shrugged. "Hey, it was still fun. I... definitely feel a little better now."
"That is good." Logan smiled, and Roman nodded. The room fell silent again, and Roman reached out to look over the drawing Logan did one more time. Logan's smile slowly fell, realizing that Roman still wanted to know what he looked like. The drawings did not work-but perhaps his original plan would.
"You were right," Logan began randomly, causing Roman to look up at him in confusion. "Though I hate to admit such a thing, you are much more handsome in reality than in my drunk doodle."
Roman smiled, a small smile which was different from the usual proud smirk he wore. Logan smiled back and continued. "You've got light brown hair that could do with a haircut right now in all honesty. Brown eyes that sometimes seem to burn red in the light, and this stupid grin.."
He trailed off, shaking his head and sighing as Roman smiled more. "It makes you look like an asshole. An annoyingly beautiful asshole." Both of them laughed at that.
Roman stared at Logan for a moment, taking in his features. Logan stared back at him, both of them meeting eyes for a moment before Roman spoke up. "You've got brown hair too. It almost looks black though, so a lot darker than mine. Your eyes are this.. really pretty blue. I don't think I've ever seen any like them."
Roman inched closer to Logan to get a better look at his eyes, both of them sitting close. Logan looked back into Roman's eyes, both of them looking at each other and slowly getting closer. It was only when the two were an inch apart that the younger vampire seemed to realize what he was doing. He sat back quickly, looking panicked for a moment before playing it off with another grin that didn't quite seem real.
"Y-yeah, uh... what was I saying?" Roman asked, chuckling nervously as Logan smiled at him smugly. He did his best to hide his disappointment from Roman pulling back.
"You were just telling me how pretty my eyes are?" He teased, and Roman shoved him playfully, shaking his head.
"Oh, shut up! You just told me a minute ago I was beautiful so you have no room to make fun of me." He argued, and Logan shrugged.
"I also called you an asshole, which definitely still stands." He muttered, still smiling at their silly bickering. The room fell silent once again but this time felt different. It was comforting, and nice. They both felt happy simply sitting there without saying a word.
Minutes passed, and the two ended up moving so their backs were against the couch, slouching against it tiredly. A glance at the clock revealed that the sun had been up for some time while the two were talking, and they needed to get some sleep. Logan was about to suggest that they get up and go to their beds when a head landed on his shoulder.
"I really don't feel like moving," Roman mumbled as if reading Logan's mind, and Logan had to admit he didn't feel like it either. "Can't we just stay here?"
"We should at least get on the couch," Logan answered, and Roman groaned. He turned to Logan, opening his arms like a child asking to be carried. Logan laughed. "It's literally right behind you, Roman."
He pushed himself off the ground without Roman, taking the couch behind him and expecting Roman to move to the other. Instead he felt an unexpected weight on top of him, eyes snapping open to find Roman laying over him.
"Really?" He muttered, pushing Roman so he was laying on his side, his back against the couch cushions. "You are ridiculous. If you push me off the couch later I will pull you down with me."
"I won't," Roman assured him, not opening his eyes as he wrapped his arms around Logan, pulling him close so he wasn't as close to falling off the couch. "See? I've got you."
"I really don't trust you," Logan huffed, but didn't say anything else as he got as comfortable as was possible when he was so close to the other with the threat of falling suddenly to the cold floor. As much as he complained it didn't take him long to drift off along with Roman, both of which would later wake up and feel very embarrassed about quite a few of the events of the night.
Neither one would mention it, but despite the embarrassment at being reminded of the night, the terrible drawings they did for one another did end up hung on the wall in each of their bedrooms.
Basically the only reason this is being uploaded is bc I told myself I couldn't sleep till I got something done tonight so uh... yay I finished something !!! Even tho it's 6:30 in the morning.......... oh well
Also-for anyone who hasn't already noticed I recently completed my book Robot so if you haven't read that you should!!!! Also I haven't updated my book Parenthood lately bc I need a break from that one but the LAMP book Tally Marks is still being updated every Friday!!! I might make it every Monday and Friday(or more days) so that it'll be updated quickly and keep me motivated cause I've been enjoying writing that book lately, and so I can work on that one since it's already got an outline while I work on outlines for my five other book ideas-I am not exaggerating. Like, seriously.
I need an outline for Parenthood written out, an outline for an original book, and then a moxiety book, a royality sequel to Robot, a prinxiety book(the Flowers one I've put off for almost a year OOPS), and I think I may be forgetting one or two ideas? I also wanna rewrite Forest of Fears. (Did I mention that yet??) I really need to write them down but anyways, I am very busy and very overwhelmed. Especially since I have to prepare for going to college next year which makes me feel really stupid and like I know nothing, and I'm just very behind on schoolwork in general? Yeah I'm very stressed. So like, sorry. Writing has been less important than some other things. Not that I've been focusing on them enough either tho..
But before I continue to rant on here can I just say I miss updating regularly??? I've gotten used to getting up and checking your comments and it makes me really happy to see people commenting and voting and enjoying my books and it kinda sucks a lot when I don't have that bc I'm not writing. I mean... I still somehow get quite a few, but still. I miss writing and I just wish I could get all these book ideas written and not feel overwhelmed by it all. Like geez, I could rant about that a lot more than I already have but that's annoying so I'll just continue to internalize it all lmao.
Now I... am very tired, as people typically are after staying up all night. So I'm just gonna uh, get some sleep and try my best to update again tomorrow. I have some cute prompts I wanna use so hopefully. Actually just like-yell at me to get it done. I do want to do it I'll just put it off bc I'm stupid. I mean I do have schoolwork and stuff but otherwise I have plenty of time to get a oneshot written.
So yeah anyways! I'm gonna get off now. Uh.... please give me ring pop suggestions lol.
Thanks for reading, I hope you liked it! *
