Birthday Bounce House (Logic x Anxiety x Morality x Prince)

Requested. Please, do not leave any more requests. They will not be completed. (Also they're all little kids in this one and it's platonic LAMP)

Patton bounced excitedly in his seat, barely able to focus on anything except for the birthday party he had invited all of his friends to. He kept jumping up every two minutes, rushing to the window to peer out and see if anyone's car had arrived yet. His parents had laughed and told him to be patient, that it wouldn't be much longer, but he couldn't help but feel excited still!

He knew his birthday party was going to be a lot of fun. His parents had ended up renting a big jumping castle that they had set up in their backyard for the four of them to play on. Patton had wanted to get on and start jumping immediately, but his parents had told him to wait until his friends got there. Patton didn't mind-he knew it would be more fun while spending time with them.

When Patton jumped out of his seat once again to peer out the window, he was even more excited to see each of his friends pulling into his driveway. Patton quickly turned to his parents to yell that they were finally there, turning the handle on the door after his parents came to walk out with him. He ran excitedly over to where his friends had already gotten out and were waiting for him, throwing his arms around them all excitedly.

"Finally!" Patton exclaimed with a laugh, pulling back from the hug to look at all his friends. "You guys took forever."

After each of them had said hello and started talking to each other, Patton's parents called them all inside. When Patton remembered what was waiting in the backyard he excitedly urged them all to follow him, rushing back inside. Roman followed directly behind him, while Logan and Virgil took a second longer, not wanting to run.

"Are we allowed to go out back yet?" Patton asked his parents after getting in the front door.

"Just a little bit longer, okay?" His mother promised with a smile. She gestured over to his other mom, who was carrying a large cake over to the dining room table. "Don't you want to eat cake and open presents first, so you don't have to stop playing later?"

Patton agreed, and led his friends over to the table to sit down. His mom had set the cake up in the middle of the table, and in the seat that Patton normally took for dinner there were presents from his friends and his parents. Each of them sat down around the table, waiting for his parents to finish getting candles lit on the cake so that they could sing happy birthday to him.

"You guys are going to have so much fun when we get to go outside!" Patton told his friends, grinning widely and once again bouncing in his seat. He was just so excited and happy that he couldn't contain it. He continued to go on about his excitement for a few minutes, until the cake was finished and his friends had to sing to him. He blew out the candles quickly, opening up each of his presents from his friends just as fast.

He opened a card from Virgil first. Virgil seemed embarrassed at not being able to do more for his birthday, but Patton thought the note inside was the nicest thing in the world. In Virgil's hard to read, childish writing, he had written that Patton was his best friend. Patton was quick to assure him that he loved the note, stumbling out of his chair to hug him quickly(after asking if he could first, knowing that the anxious boy didn't like to be touched very much).

The next thing he opened was a foam sword from Roman. Roman loved to play with swords and pretend to be a heroic prince, and he had a sword very similar. However, the one he gave to Patton was more like a pirates sword. Patton giggled excitedly, giving Roman a hug as well. "Now I can look like a pirate!"

Finally, Patton opened the last gift from Logan. It was a big book full of coloring pages and different kinds of puzzles. Logan told him he had another one just like it, and that he thought the puzzles were fun. He also knew that Patton loved to color, and he thought it would be a nice gift. Patton gave Logan a hug too, thanking each of them once again for their gifts.

"So can we go out now?" Patton asked his mother after they had finished eating cake and opening gifts. His mother laughed and finally agreed, telling them to be safe and have fun.

Patton grinned, taking the hand of his closest friend-it happened to be Virgil-and rushing to the backyard with Logan and Roman following soon behind. He used his free hand to open up the back door, leading them into the yard and pointing excitedly at the jump castle. "Look, guys! Isn't it so cool?"

Roman seemed equally as excited as Patton, rushing to go get on it. Logan was following behind him, not looking as excited but seeming happy still. Patton turned to Virgil to see if he also looked excited, only to find him watching the bounce castle nervously.

"What's wrong, Virgil?" Patton asked, frowning. Virgil turned to look at Patton, still seeking a little scared.

"I-I, uh... nothing, I just..." Virgil stumbled over his words, taking a step away from the bounce castle.

"Are you afraid of the bounce castle?" Patton asked, gaining the attention of their two other friends. Virgil saw them looking at him curiously, face flushing. He shook his head quickly.

"N-no!" He said too fast, voice wavering. He didn't want his friends to think he was silly for being afraid. He just felt unsure. What if one of them fell and got hurt? It seemed dangerous. "I'm not scared!"

"It's okay, Virgil!" Patton reassured him, squeezing his hand comfortingly. "You can talk to us."

"Don't be scared, Virgil!" Roman spoke up, getting off of the bounce castle. He rushed into the house, returning quickly with the foam sword he had gifted Patton. "Watch, I'll protect you!"

Roman began fighting the castle with his sword. Patton immediately laughed, rushing over to join in and telling Virgil that he would protect him too. It made Virgil feel a little bit better, knowing that his friends would be there for him and help him rather than judge him. Logan approached him, standing beside of him and watching the other two.

"I'm not going to do that, but I will try to help you feel less afraid." Logan told him, looking over at Virgil. He gave him a tiny, comforting smile, and Virgil returned it slowly. "So, what exactly scares you about going on the bounce castle?"

Virgil talked to Logan for a few minutes while Patton and Roman continued to fight the inflatable castle. He listened to what Virgil said, explaining afterwards why it wasn't as scary as he thought. Virgil felt a lot better about getting on the castle by the time they finished talking, and soon enough he stopped Patton and Roman from fighting it by walking past them and getting on.

"Well?" He asked, face red as all of their attention was on him again. "Are we all gonna get on and have fun or what?"

Patton and Roman both cheered, abandoning the foam sword as the followed Virgil onto the bounce castle, Logan right behind them. Virgil quickly realized that Logan was right-it wasn't scary at all. It was actually a lot of fun.

The four of them ended up playing for hours, laughing and having fun. It was certainly the best birthday Patton had ever had, and he was glad to see that his friends were happy too.

Honestly I only took this request for 2 reasons. 1. It was cute and it's their birthday so I mean????? Obviously-HAPPY BIRTHDAY BY THE WAY Paradox-Puzzler ! And 2. I literally have another thing they requested a long while ago that I've taken way too long to complete, and I wanted to finally get it finished today and upload it as well. Which is happening after this one gets uploaded so!! I hope this was what you wanted, and that the next one will be too. ^•^

The next one may take me a bit longer, but I promise you it will be done tonight. At a reasonable time too, I swear I am actually trying to take care of myself (even tho I literally stayed up over 24 hours yesterday whoops). I will try my hardest to go to bed earlier tonight and get some sleep lol. Thanks for the concern.

Also! Unrelated kind of but also still about birthdays, it was apparently Logan's birthday yesterday so I dressed up as him because why not

Lol I've been trying to put together stuff for cosplaying all the sides, but I've taken on way too many other projects lately so that was the only one I'd finished.

Anyways tho, that was all I've got to say today. Thanks so much for reading this, hope you liked it. *everyone gets a birthday cake flavored ring pop* Take care of yourselves. Bye!-Bob
