Christmas Story
Hi guys! I'm using a different device and can't figure out how to bold and stuff so sorry. Also, it's not Christmas anymore. I wrote this before Christmas, for Christmas, but so SO much has happened since then so sorry.
Trigger Warnings are the same they are for the rest of the book I think. Stay safe guys.

Christmas had never been a pleasant time for Virgil. After all, it was a time for family, and it was kind of hard to celebrate without one.
Ever since his creation the other Sides had hated him. It got pretty lonely. So it was no surprise to him when the others refused to let him celebrate with them.
(Flashback)
Virgil popped into the Mindscape's common room. Logic and Creativity were watching a movie, The Nightmare Before Christmas to be exact. Morality was baking something, chocolate chip cookies by the smell.
When he entered Logic paused the movie.
"Oh look. It's Anxiety" Creativity sneered. Virgil winced at the venom and he shrunk into his hoodie.
"The freak's back?" Logic. Virgil had been told not to use their real names.
"I j-just wanted some-some food." Virgil shifted uncomfortably as his voice broke.
Creativity laughed. "Stutter much?"
Virgil barely stopped a flinch. "Sorry..."
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot. Stop infecting Thomas with your stupid fears. Especially when we are doing something or hanging out with friends. You aren't doing any good." Virgil sank to the ground as Creativity's words sunk in, his mind instantly jumping to the worst possible scenarios. Was he actually hurting Thomas? Was he just getting in the way? Is that why they hated him? Was his job- his reason for existing- really the problem?
"I'm sorry I didn't mean to- I swear. I swear I don't mean to! I'm sorry sorry sorry sorry I'm so so sorry-"
"Kiddo? Hey. Shh, you're okay."
As Morality lead him through breathing exercises, Virgil calmed down some. When he was calm, Patton handed him a cookie and asked him to go to his room, saying that he would deal with the others.
"Yeah, o-okay. Th-thank you..."
"No problem kiddo!"
As Virgil sunk down the last thing he heard was a whispered, "useless freak".
After this, anytime Virgil became to hopeful that they might actually care, he turned on The Nightmare Before Christmas. Eventually he began to appreciate the movie but he still mainly watched it as a reminder. A reminder that no one cared about him.
