Assasin ~ No Ship

Hey sorry for the wait on an update. I got this idea from a writing prompt but I can't actually remember they full prompt. More like I remembered a prompt I read a few months ago and decided to go for it.

Virgil gawks at the completely series kid before him. Yesterday he had received a very well written request for his presence behind the element school, a strange place for a meet up but upon seeing the client he understood.

'To whom ever it may concern,
I'm looking for you to accomplish a job for me. I've done plenty of research on your line of work and your personally requirements, including your desire to meet with clients before continuing business. There is a place behind the building included in the link, I'd like to meet there as soon as possible so if tomorrow at 3pm works for you show up.
From L'

A small kid, couldn't be older than seven, stood in front of him, emotionless, with arms crossed. He was definitely looking him over, figuring him out, and that made Virgil uncomfortable. This kid had messaged him so formally?
"L?"
"Mhm. I assume you're the assassin?" The kid was so series in the way he spoke. Virgil was double his height so he crouched down to feel better talking to the kid.
"Listen L, you know what I do for a living. You understand what you're doing I assume but I have to ask. Are you sure you're doing the right thing? Like this isn't some petty 'you stole my pencil so I'm gonna kill you' kind of things that young kids do?" He has to check, be absolutely positive this kid knows what he's doing. Otherwise he needs to leave immediately, getting caught with a young child that's not his own behind a school is not on his list of things to do today.
"I don't get into petty fights," The kid growled, "Look you've met me now can we get on with discussing business?"
"Umm. Okay L what you got going on?" Virgil was hesitant on working with a child but thought he could hear out what the kid had to say. The kid reached into his school backpack and pulled out a folder.
"First, my name is Logan so you might as well use it. Second the person I'm sure you've been wondering about is Dee Corps." Logan as he was now called opened the folder and handed Virgil a picture of a man that must be Dee. He lay passes out on the couch, a half finished microwaveable dinner on the coffee table and his face on one side was covered with scars.
"Okay. Can I ask why a young kid like you wants to get rid of Corps? And who is he to you?"
"The man is my father. Why I want him gone is personal to me and my brothers." Logan said defensively.
"You're brothers? Do they know you're out here planning on having your father killed?"
"No. They don't need to know."
"Don't you think they would care about your father's death?"
"No..." Logan looked uncomfortable at the questions. Virgil could see that and wondered what had drove this young child to hiring an assassin.
"Okay to recap. You, a kid, are asking me, an assassin, to kill Dee Corps, your father, for mysteries reasons and your brothers can't know." Virgil said slowly.
"Yes. Are you dense? Maybe it's your anxiety preventing you from understanding? People with anxiety tend to ask for reassurance often." Logan pondered out-loud.
"How did you know I have anxiety?"
"You're past clients informed me when I was using your forums. They recommend you because of your anxiety actually. They say you double check and plan everything perfectly for fear of being caught." Logan said looking in his folder again to pull out a sheet of paper. It was a copy of the forums claiming Virgil's anxiety is his greatest strength.
"Wow kid you really looked into this.." Virgil said, taking the sheet and looking at the pen written notes. "You circled my price. Can you afford an assassin?"
"I have gathered the needed money yes. It wasn't hard to get 600 dollars from my fathers card. He won't miss it." Logan assures him. Virgil nodded and looked everything over again.
"You've gotten everything you need to hire me wow. Location for a meeting, cash, target, research. You're pretty professional for a kid."
"Someone has to be professional in my house. My father sure isn't." Logan huffed. Virgil nodded again and put the folder in his lap.
"Logan why do you want your father gone so badly?"
"I already told you it's personal."
"Is he abusive?" Virgil asked hesitantly. Logan stiffened and shook his head.
"Not physically."
Virgil hummed in acknowledgment of this information. "What do you plan on doing once he's gone? You said you have brothers? Older or younger?"
"Roman is older by two years, he's nine and Patton is younger by one year, he's six."
"So who's going to take care for you once your father is gone?"
"I will." Logan said defensively. "I can take care of all three of us. Besides it's not your job to go snooping in my personal life. Your job is to ride my family of Dee Corps and be on your way."
"You are a child. You'll be sent to foster homes, possibly separated from your brothers that way. Are you sure you've got everything planned out Logan?" Virgil tried reasoning with the child. His eyes widened when Logan's started to water up. The seven year olds composure breaking with the tears falling.
"I just want my brothers to be safe." Logan's voice broke and hiccuped as he spoke. "He's threatened to kill us before and I don't want them to die. Get rid of him. Please..." Logan hung his head low and held his arms to himself. Virgil reacted slowly and gathered the crying child in his arms.
"Okay Logan. Okay." He said softly while rubbing the child's back. "I'll get ride of him. You three can live with me. Yeah?" Virgil felt a soft nod on his shoulder and heard a mumbled yes. "I can make three kids vanish from there homes, father killed, missing. A new life for you three with me. Fake you're own deaths or something. I won't separate you three." Virgil didn't know why he was trying to help. Maybe because he's never been hired by a child before. Or maybe Logan had just captured his attention with being so young but so desperate. Plans were running through his head. He carried them out. Kill Dee Corps. Fake the death of three kids and raise them as his own in a new town. It took the two kids some readjusting but Logan took it in stride once his father was gone. Finally safe with his brothers and assassin.
