Two birds on a wire
One tries to fly away

Roman smiled as he glanced at Patton, "Are you coming with us, Pat?" He asked.

And the other watches him close from that wire

Patton shook his head "No, go on kiddo, I won't want to be the fourth wheel for you guys!"

He says he wants to as well
But he is a liar

Roman shrugged "Alright then! We'll be gone all day so don't worry about us!"

I'll believe it all
There's nothing I won't understand

Patton nodded "Okay!! Have fun!!!" He said as he felt his heart begin to crack and break.

I'll believe it all
I won't let go of your hand

"We certainly will!"

One says c'mon

"Virgil! Kiddo! Come here I have something to show you!!" Patton said cheerfully.

and the other says

"I'm tired" Virgil mumbled "Plus, Logan, Roman and I've got plans tomorrow that I need to mentally prepare for... Sorry, maybe later."

The sky is overcast and I'm sorry

Patton shook his head. "Oh! No! It's okay, kiddo! I'm not gonna stop you!"

One more or one less
Nobody's worried

Virgil smiled "Thanks, Pat." He said as he walked back up the stairs to his room... Leaving Patton alone in the living room.

Patton sighed, he should be feeling happy for them... But he can't help the tears that fall down his face.

Say that they're always gonna stay together

But one's never going to let go of that wire

"Oh, um... Can we talk later then?" He asked hopefully

But he's just a liar

"Yes, sure, but not now, leave me be, I'm busy..."

Patton covered his mouth, trying to hold back his sobs as he heard the conversation through the wall.

One tries to fly away and the other

"He's been rather annoying recently"

Watches him close from that wire

"Yeah... And like constantly asking us to do stuff..."

He says he wants too as well

"He needs to understand that our relationship does not involve him..."

But he is a liar.

Patton choked down his sobs and ran to his room, he sat down on his bed and just broke down, his heart ached and his throat burned from holding so much back for so long...

He started to sing to calm himself down... Which didn't work and only made it worse...
