Side Note: Okay so a couple things. I may be redoing my request chapters, and like actually doing requests again! We'll see.  Cause some ships that I used to ship, I don't anymore and vise versa!

Reason why I may be doing this is because I am gonna have more time to do stuff! Because I have finally graduated! Worst four years of my life are finally over. And now I don't have school work to do so yay! Again it's a maybe, but we'll see!

And there also may be an increase in patceit/moceit chapters because uhhhhh I want to, as well as maybe some more fantasy au kind of things! Cause I can, kinda write those, maybe!

I'm also really tempted to bring the song list thing back! Because I enjoy sharing music! So please let me know what y'all think about that!

Anyways! Enjoy!

Thomas glanced up, noticing the two opposing sides now standing side by side. He quickly looked over to Lee and Mary-Lee. Double checking that they weren't looking, and subtly waved to the two sides. Gesturing for them to leave, it was okay.

Janus nodded, and sunk out, Patton followed suit. They found themselves in the mindscape version of the living room. Empty, no sound coming from any of the rooms above. Patton felt worried, no sound in the mindscape, often wasn't good. This discussion wasn't over. Roman refused to talk about it when he went to check on him. Virgil heard part of what happened, but the second Patton said Janus' name, he stopped listening. Shutting Patton out of his room. Logan hasn't said anything about what happened, he won't. He knew he wouldn't.

Janus was about to go to his room, but stopped and turned when he felt a hand on his shoulder. "Janus," Patton's voice shook, he was hesitant. Janus could tell how nervous he was, he felt the same of course, he had just gotten better at hiding it. "Do you... maybe wanna talk?" He finally finished.

"About what?"

"Anything..." Patton didn't want to feel alone, who else was he going to go to? Virgil looked at him the same way he looked at Janus. Roman barely even wants to speak to him, and he could feel the judgment, and maybe even hatred, in Logan's gaze. He deserved it, he had hurt them, that's what he felt anyways, but, it still stung. He let out a small semi-forced laugh, "Want to maybe go to my room and-"

"Nostalgize? Oh, That worked so well last time." Janus remarked, immediately regretting it as he saw the hurt look on Patton's face, as he retracted his hand. "I-I was just suggesting it, sorry." Patton looked off to the side, fidgeting with his hands a little. Janus swallowed his pride, and reached out, taking hold of Patton's clasped hands, "I'm sorry." He struggled with his words for a moment, before eventually deciding on, "I wouldn't mind it."

Patton met Janus' gaze once again, he wasn't met with annoyance or hatred. It was a look Janus didn't show often, soft, open and honest. One more moment of thought, before Patton was nodding, and sinking them both to his room.

The room had only gotten more cluttered since Thomas had last been there. Patton went back there quite often and dug through things, hoping to feel a little better. Especially after Remus had showed up again. Janus hadn't been here in ages.

As such, he immediately tripped over a pile of things. "What the-" He stopped and regained his balance, "Wow, it's... In perfect condition, Patton." He remarked, this time however, Janus had a bit of a smile on his face, he was trying to be playful. Like they had been years ago. Luckily, Patton caught on, laughing a bit as he began to 'clean up' a little.

"I'm assuming your room is perfectly cleaned?" He said back.

Janus rolled his eyes, "Remus often bursts in, and sometimes even stays in my room, so, I am cleared of all charges." He snickered. Patton snorted, "Mhm, sure." He giggled, biting his tongue lightly.

They got to looking and sharing memories that they hadn't due to being apart for so long. Mostly, it led back to before their fight. Once it got close to it again, they would change the topic. Now was not the time.

During one of those silent moments, as they were both digging through the piles of memories. "Oh those times. I was so busy, I never got any time to myself." Janus remarked. Patton peaked over, unable to see what Janus was looking at. "When?"

Janus held up a picture for Patton to see, it was Thomas with a girl. Obviously going on some kind of date. Patton winced, scrunching up his face, "Oh, yeah, she was lovely but um..." Janus shook his head, "Yeah. No." They laughed.

Patton went back to digging, he narrowed his eyes as he saw a picture that didn't quite look like any of the others. He dug it out of the pile, looking at it confused, "Who-" and it suddenly clicked, he gasped, "Oh my goodness! It's you."

Janus rolled his eyes, "That shouldn't have been hard to recog-"

"It was before you had your scales."

Janus immediately dropped what he was holding, "What?!" Immediately he crawled over to Patton. Sitting next to him to look at the photo.

Sure enough, the picture showed two sides. Much, much younger than they were now. One in a light blue t-shirt, with glasses hugging onto the other, practically burying his face into the other's neck. The other who was in a yellow t-shirt had his arms wrapped around him, holding him. Both were grinning and had their eyes closed like they were laughing when the picture was taken.

"Wow... I almost look like you-" Janus snorted, chuckling a little, making Patton do the same.

Patton thought for a moment, "Who was taking the picture...? Virgil?" he asked. Janus shook his head, "No, it had to have been creativity. I don't even think Virgil was, well, really formed yet." Patton nodded, "yeah.." He gasped again, "Oh lemme go grab something while I'm thinkin' about it!"

He scrambled up and ran up the stairs to one of the other rooms, opening the closet door. He hummed, reaching up and pushing some boxes around. Once he found the scrapbook he had been looking for. He beamed, he pulled it down and blew the dust off of it. The once light blue fabric had dulled and turned gray after the years of neglect.

Patton came back downstairs, showing the scrapbook to Janus, who after a moment, recognized it. "You still have that?" He asked. Patton nodded, "Of course!" He plopped back down next to Janus, who took the opportunity to move a bit closer. Patton set the book down, and opened it up. Gasping at the first page.

It was a picture of Patton, Janus and between them, creativity. A gold crown sat on top of his head while a long red regal cape was wrapped around the three of them. "Aw" Patton cooed, "Look at you!!" Janus flushed red, looking away flustered "I'm going to leave." An empty threat, they both knew that.

They flipped through pages, smiling and making comments about one another's appearance in the pictures. When one made them both stop. It was closer to the end of the book, It had no caption or fun bubbly letters like the rest of them had. It was just a simple white background with a picture glued on it. It was even slightly skewed like it was rushed.

The picture itself was of Janus. Unlike all the previous pictures, where he had been smiling and giggling it seemed. He had his arms wrapped around himself, and while his head was tilted slightly down and to the side, his eyes were looking at the camera. An obvious look of concealed upsetness was on his face. And the most obvious difference was Janus' eye. His scales still weren't visible. But his eye was now yellow and had the snake-like slit.

They both went quiet. It was slowly approaching Creativity's split. And it was very apparent. Patton just flipped the page, and there it was in plain sight. The next page held two pictures, one of Roman and one of Remus. Both beaming at the camera, as if they were blissfully unaware of what had taken place.

Patton found himself tearing up. He hadn't meant it, he truly didn't. It was an accident. Thomas' thoughts were getting darker, suddenly some ideas he was having weren't so good. And Patton needed to stop it, or so he thought at the time. He didn't know it would get rid of Creativity completely.

"Do you think," Patton hesitated, "If creativity came back, just, as a whole... He would hate me?" 'Too?' went unspoken. Janus paused, looking away and at the ground. "I don't know. Roman and Remus grew up and matured, as Roman and Remus. So either he would be, the same as he was before you split him, or, would have Roman and Remus' memories, and understand."

Patton let that relax him a little. Even if it would never happen, he would never see Creativity again. It still hurts him that he never got to say sorry. Roman and Remus don't remember. So it isn't like he can apologize to them. His treatment of Remus certainly wasn't helping his case.

The more he thought, the most upset he got. He didn't realize he was crying until he felt arms wrap around him. "Shh" Janus held him to his chest, moving him onto his lap, giving him the comfort he needed. He felt safe, he always had, it was just doubt and worry that drove a wedge between them all those years ago. Disagreements that, in the grand scheme of things, didn't matter.

Patton broke, sobbing as he clung onto Janus. This is what he had truly needed, not looking back on happy memories to distract himself. He needed to be cared about. To feel loved again. For almost a whole month he was alone, in pain and shunned by those he cared about.

Janus' arms left him for a moment, and Patton only clung on tighter. "No, please." he whimpered. "I'm not leaving... It's okay." Janus' voice was smooth, calming, and borderline hypnotic. He unclasped his capelet and wrapped it around Patton. He leaned back against the wall only to get more comfortable. Then his hands returned to holding the other.

They sat in silence, letting Patton cry it out. After a little while, once Patton's sobs had become sniffles. "I missed you..." Patton mumbled, "I missed you so much, you were always there for me, and I just-" he hiccuped. "All of those horrible things I said, about you- a-about Remus and... and Virgil... I didn't mean them. I never did, I, I was just-"

"Scared?" Janus asked. Patton nodded, falling silent again. So Janus took a moment, before continuing. "So was I, I was scared that... that you were right. So, I wasn't the nicest to you then either. To anyone really." He held Patton a little tighter.

"We both made mistakes, back then..."

"And, recently..." Patton finished.

"And, it's okay." Janus smiled a little. "We can work a little better together, now."

They sat in silence once more, now however, it was not filled with heartache, or uncomfortable tension. It was filled with mutual understanding and care. Love. That neither of them had felt in a long time.

They would talk about specifics later. What their jobs exactly would entail now, when Janus would take over, then when Patton would take over. Their boundaries and limits with certain dilemmas. How they need to talk to the others going forward, if they're going to be able to talk to the others yet.

Then, of course, the specifics about their relationship. They love each other. They both know that. But, right now, was not the time. They can live peacefully for now, just knowing that they love one another. Without putting labels on it. Or even outright saying it. Those conversations were for later.

For now, they can rest.
