"Virgil I assure you, with the way your father has expressed his opinion towards the topic, that it will be alright," Logan sighed as he adjusted his glasses. Virgil shook his head, "he said he was fine and fully supportive of... um...." He paused unsure of how to phrase it, Logan raised his eyebrow at him. "The LGBTQ community?" he asked. Virgil nodded snapping his fingers "Yeah... b-but... People say that sometimes parents can seem fully supportive, and they are, just not with their own kid.. What if my dad's like that?" The shorter of the two mumbled.

They were walking home after school, and as they got closer to Logan's house, Virgil had confessed to thinking about finally coming out to his dad about being gay. Logan sighed, "I believe you are magnifying the situation here, Virgil. Look at the facts," He cleared his throat showing that he was about to go into a long analysis, which made Virgil instinctively roll his eyes.

"He's never expressed any outwardly disdain towards any faction of the community, he's always been incredibly supportive of you, in almost everything you do... He can be harsh on you on very rare occasions, at least, it's very rarely that you express those occasions to me.-" "He doesn't get on my case much at all, it's only if I'm majorly failing, even then, he just overly explains to me how important this is..." Virgil mumbled "you're right, but even with all of that you can never be sure..." He sighed. Logan did the same and stopped walking, realizing they were in front of his house.

"I promise, Virgil... You will be alright..." Virgil shook his head "I dunno, Lo..." He muttered. "If it... Makes you feel any better, if something goes wrong, you can call me and I'll come pick you up. I'm ungrounded from the car finally." Logan said, Virgil raised his eyebrow "Why did you get grounded from it anyway?" "My grades were lower than a B+ average." "That's bullshit..." Logan shrugged, "rules are rules, anyway... I promise, you're going to be okay... I wish you the best of luck regardless."

Virgil nodded "Yeah... thanks... See ya..." Logan waved a bit before walking inside. Virgil sighed and began walking to his house, he was shaking slightly, due to his nerves getting the better of him. He tried to just repeat what Logan said to him, to calm down, but it only worked a bit. When he got home and walked inside Patton was in the kitchen presumably cleaning.

He looked over as he heard the door close. "Hey kiddo! How was school?" He asked. "U-Um... It... It was, good... Hey... Dad... Um... Can I talk to you about something... It's... Important..." Virgil stuttered out as his voice shook. Patton turned off the faucet and walked out of the kitchen, "sure, kiddo, sit down." He said his voice was gentle and soft as he sat down on the sofa, patting the spot next to him.

Virgil slowly made his way over and sat down, placing his bag on the floor in front of him. "What's the matter?" He asked. Virgil sighed "U-Um... I... I...." He took a deep breath and glance down at the floor. "I'm gay..." He said flinching slightly back out of fear.

Dead silence fell across them for a few seconds, but to Virgil it felt like hours. "I-I'm sorry I just-" he began to quickly speak out until Patton held onto his hand softly. "No, kiddo... I... There's nothing to apologize for!" He said, Virgil finally looked up at Patton and smiled. Patton was beaming. "There's nothing to be sorry for Kiddo! I still love you, in fact this is great! We can go out to pride events now!" he giggled.

Virgil felt happy tears press at the back of his eyes as he quickly hugged Patton. "I love you, Dad... I love you so much..." Patton graciously hugged him back "I love you too, Kiddo... I always will."

A few weeks later, Virgil came home beaming. "Dad! Dad!!" He said rushing over to Patton. "What? What is it??" He asked. "R-Remember Roman??" He asked. "Oh, your little friend from Middle school?" "Well... He's.. Not... Just my little friend... Anymore..." "OH MY GOODNESS!!! I'M SO HAPPY FOR YOU KIDDO!!!" Patton giggled quickly picking Virgil twirling him. "Dee! Come down and congratulate your brother!" Patton yelled. "Dad," Virgil giggled, "It's fine!"

"Congrats Virgil!" A voice from upstairs called.

"Thanks, D."

Patton smiled as he set Virgil down. "I'm happy for you kiddo... Just tell him something for me.."

"What?"

"If he hurts you, he won't be able to preform for months."

"Dad!"

"What? I'm just saying."

"I agree with Dad!"

"Dee! Shut up!"
