(Prinxiety) baby it's cold outside
You have no idea how long I've been waiting to post this!! I based it off the song by Idina Menzel ft. Micheal Bublé (ps: I may have changed a few lyrics.) Enjoy!
Virgil pursed his lips as he looked over at the large clock that hung over the fireplace. He stood quickly from the couch and went over to retrieve his belongings. Roman frowned and followed after him. “I really can't stay.” Virgil murmured. “Baby it's cold outside.” Roman argued. “I've got to go away.” Virgil huffed. “Baby it's cold outside.” Roman repeated.
Virgil smiled apologetically. “This evening has been...” Roman tugged at his arm. “Been hoping that you'd drop in.” He whined.
“So very nice.” Virgil sighed.
“I'll hold your hands,” Roman took his hands and shuddered. “They're just like ice.”
Virgil pulled his hands away from his own. “My mother will start to worry.” He turned on his heel and reached for his hat tugging it on his head. Roman wrapped his arms around his waist. “Beautiful what's your hurry?” He questioned.
Virgil squirmed out of his embrace. “My father will be pacing the floor.” He retorted. Roman rolled his eyes and took his forearm dragging him back to the couch and set him in front of the hearth. “Listen to the fireplace roar.” He hummed.
Virgil sighed and returned to the front door. “So really I'd better scurry.” He said. Roman chased him down. “Beautiful please don't hurry.” He begged. Virgil hesitated and chewed on his bottom lip. “But maybe just a half a drink more.” He mumbled. Roman beamed. “Put some records on while I pour.” He said as he hurried over to the kitchen, Virgil walked to the record and stuck one in, Roman soon returned with a steaming mug in his hand. He smiled and handed it to Virgil.
Virgil sighed and looked down at the mug while Roman encased him in his arms, swaying softly to the music. “The neighbors might think...” He started. “Baby it's bad out there.” Roman quickly cut him off.
Virgil took a sip from his drink and felt a chill run down his spine. “Say what's in this drink?” He questioned, trying to hold back a giggle. “No cabs to be had out there.” Roman stated.
Virgil turned around to face him. “I wish I knew how,” He smiled up at him.
Roman felt a blush rise to his cheeks and cupped his face. “Your eyes are like starlight.” He said.
“To break this spell.” Virgil laughed.
“I'll take your hat.” Roman took Virgil's hat off and ran his fingers through his now messy locks. “Your hair looks swell.”
Virgil looked away and set his mug down near the record player, he walked away from his smiling lover and sat at the couch. “I ought to say no, no, no sir.” He grumbled. Roman sat by him. “Mind if I move in closer?” He chuckled and scooted closer to him, wrapping an arm around him. “At least I'm gonna say that I tried.” Virgil shrugged. “What's the sense in hurting my pride?” Roman playfully pouted at him.
Virgil shook his head and frowned. “I really can't stay.” He said. “Baby don't hold out.” Roman warned.
“Baby it's cold outside.” They both said in unison.
Virgil sighed. “You're very pushy you know?” He claimed.
“I like to think of opportunistic.” Roman grinned. Virgil rolled his eyes.
“I simply must go.” Virgil stood up.
“Baby it's cold outside.” Roman whimpered and stood up in front of him, bringing him into a hug. “The answer is no.” Virgil lightly pushed him away. “But baby it's cold outside.” Roman slumped his shoulders.
“Your welcome has been,” Virgil started. “How lucky that you dropped in.” Roman told him. “So nice and warm.” Virgil hugged himself, wanting the warmness to last. Roman led him over to a window. “look out the window at this dawn.” He sighed in content.
Mountains of snow filled the neighborhood, it was still falling, nevertheless it still looked beautiful.
“My sister will be suspicious.” Virgil argued with a long lip jutting pout. Roman looked down at him. “Gosh your lips look delicious.” He mumbled. “My brother will be at the door.” Virgil's brows furrowed. “Waves upon the tropical shore.” Roman was dozing off, he was enchanted by his lovers beauty.
“My maiden aunts mind is vicious.” Virgil explained as Roman leaned down, they both exchange a quick kiss. “Gosh your lips are delicious.” Roman groaned. “But maybe just a drink more.” Virgil suggested with a deep blush. “Never such a blizzard before.” Roman stated as he looked out the window.
Wait. Virgil growled and ran his hand through his hair. “I've gotta go home.”
Roman shook his head. “But baby you'd freezing out there.” He claimed.
“So lend me a coat.” Virgil suggested.
“It's up to your knees out there.” Roman replied.
“You've really been grand.” Virgil took his hand. “I thrill when you touch my hand.” Roman breathed. “But don't you see?” He looked up at him with those beautiful eyes of his, filled with concern and worry. “How can you do this to me?” Roman choked out, feeling his chest tighten.
“There's bound to be talk tomorrow.” Virgil shifted his weight.
“Think of my lifelong sorrow,” Roman told him.
“At least there will be plenty implied.” Virgil huffed.
“If you got pneumonia and died.” Roman tightened his grip on his boyfriend.
“I really can't stay.” Virgil protested against his chest.
“Get over that old out.” Roman begged.
“Baby it's cold.”
“Baby it's cold outside.”
Virgil finally gave in. “Alright, maybe I'll stay a little while longer.” He said.
“That took a lot of convincing.” Roman chuckled and wrapped his arms tightly around him.
