(Logicality) naps and confessions
It was late afternoon when Roman found the pair at the living room, he peered over them taking notice of how close and tightly they held each other, closing any little gap between them, Logan had his arms securely wrapped around Patton who in return had his arms wrapped around his torso, his cheek pressed against his chest that rose and fell rhythmically.
Their glasses rested on the coffee table neatly folded, a light blanket was draped over the pair and Roman easily recognized the cobweb and skull pattern on the purple blanket and he knew Virgil must've stumbled in on them, Roman retreated to his room not wanting to disturb the pair of their peace.
As time passed Logan would unconsciously squeeze Patton every now and then, he had his head buried in Patton's messy hair that tickled his nose each time he exhaled, Patton would sometimes mumble a few slurred words under his breath and then he would curl his fingers into Logan's back taking fistfuls of his shirt until he was calm enough to let him go, then there was a long moment of complete silence, the only thing that surrounded them was the quiet sound of their hushed breathing.
An hour passed and Logan stirred from his slumber, he curled closer to Patton pulling the male closer against his chest earning himself a small whine, Patton gave Logan a light squeeze and buried his face in his shirt before he slurred out a few words. “A...little longer....logi bear.” He said between a long yawn. “It's time for lunch love.” Logan chuckled and ran his fingers through his messy hair. “Nooooo....” Patton whimpered. “You are my new pillow, you're comfy.” He claimed. “If you don't wake up I'll have to kiss you awake.” Logan leaned down to whisper in his ear.
Patton huffed and tried to ignore his warning. “You're really appealing when you're half asleep like this.” Logan admitted. “Then let me sleep fully, I bet I'll look even more appealing.” Patton yawned once more, Logan rolled his eyes and sat up pulling Patton up with him. “Okay okay,” he pouted and rubbed his eyes. “at least I got a few more hours of sleep.” He breathed and Logan kissed his cheek. “Thank you for napping with me Logan, I'm happy you got more sleep too.” He smiled at him and held his face in his hands cooing lovingly at him.
Logan frowned and placed his hands over Patton's own and he gave him a playful glare. “Aww you're mad.” Patton giggled. “Nice to see that you two finally woke up,” a low voice mumbled startling the pair. “now can I have my blanket? It's getting cold in my room.” He said and tried to hide his blush, Patton squealed and ran to embrace the young trait. “You're such a precious dark bean!” He exclaimed and squeezed Virgil tight. “Can't...breathe.” Virgil gasped, Patton immediately released him from the embrace and apologized to him.
Logan gave Virgil his blanket and thanked him for his thoughtfulness. “No problem..." Virgil scratched the back of his head and kicked at the ground. “I'm so proud of you, my precious dark strange son.” Patton gushed happily, Virgil dropped his head and muttered a few words before he left. “Will it be alright if I assist you while you cook?” Logan asked timidly. “I wouldn't mind at all! It'll be so fun, we can make pasta!” Patton, despite being grumpy and refusing to wake just a few moments ago, happily dragged Logan to the kitchen with him.
When they were both gathering the ingredients Patton grinned at Logan and asked. “What do you call a fake noodle?” Logan hummed. “Well...most crops we consume are fake seeing as they're improved with genetically modified organisms, I don't see why they would use them on wheat crops since—” Patton cut him off with a giggle. “An impasta!” He exclaimed and went hysteric. “I liked you better when you were sleeping.” Logan joked suppressing a smile that threatened to show, even with all the childish antics he had, Logan still loved Patton, and there are times, like before he took a nap with Patton where things are beyond perfect.
Patton was the first to drift off in Logan's arms at that gave Logan an opportunity to truly see him at his most calmest and probably most vulnerable state. He seemed more relaxed and less stressed, his face was soft and looked way more different than before, he looked different and Logan was delighted to see that side of Patton. A side that nobody else would able to see.
Patton waved his hand in front of his face and shook him from his stupor. “We just took a nap, don't tell me you're still sleepy.” He laughed. “I'm just thinking.” Logan retorted. “About what?” Patton asked as he set a pot full of water over an open flame, Logan paused before he answered. “...about how much you've changed me, and how much I want to thank you for everything you have done to make my life have meaning.” Logan replied thoughtfully with his heart full of...something he wished he could describe in proper words.
Patton turned on his heel and immediately leapt into Logan's arms. “You're precious! Logan you're so sweet, I love you so much!” He said and buried his face in his shoulder. “If a nap was all you needed for you to be this more honest then we should take naps together more often.” He stated with a mischievous snicker, Logan rolled his eyes and wrapped his arms around the enthusiastic male. “I don't think that's the reason, but I wouldn't mind sleeping with you again. It was rather comforting, and I suppose it's also healthy, it does reduce stress and helps with anxiety.” Before Logan could continue Patton cut him off yet again, but this time he cut him off with an unexpected kiss.
Logan staggered back in shock, but when he got over it he gladly returned the kiss and then pulled away to catch his breath. “Sorry, you were ruining the moment, I had to save it.” Patton explained. “Right, I apologize, now where were we before all that?” Logan asked with a frown. “I was also going to tell you how I love you sooo much, but you beat me to it.” He pouted. “But it is true, I really do lo...l-love...” Logan found it quite hard to say the simple words, he was just getting used to his relationship with Patton, and he was not going to ruin it.
He took a breath and took hold of his hands. “I love you Patton, and I would love to keep loving you....that sounded really odd.” Patton didn't care though, he hugged Logan tighter, nothing else mattered but them and their moment together. “Though you are right...” Logan smiled. “We should nap more together.”
