Logan sighed and shook his head as his boyfriend told him many jokes, and sometimes he would laugh and giggle to himself, they were both recently in his room Logan sat against the headboard of his bed with a book in his hands while Patton sat crisscrossed in front of him. “Why are you like this?” Logan jokingly groaned in annoyance after Patton had finished laughing at a joke he said.

Patton giggled and sheepishly grinned at him lifting his gaze to meet with his eyes. “Aww come on! You know you love me!” He stated in a matter-of-fact tone, Logan rolled his eyes suppressing a smile. “Where did you get that idea?” He asked, clearly bluffing, after that there was a long moment of silence and Logan had returned to his book expecting Patton to laugh it off like he usually would do, but he was startled when he heard sniffling.

He immediately dropped his book and looked at Patton who wiped away the tears that flowed endlessly. “WAIT, I'M SORRY I DIDN'T MEAN IT I LOVE YOU!” He tackled Patton with a bone crushing hug and gave him various kisses, kissing away his tears in the process, Patton returned the hug and buried his face in his shoulder exhaling shuddering breaths. “I'm so sorry darling, I swear I didn't mean any of it I absolutely love you.” Logan said  his heart aching painfully as Patton hiccuped, he rubbed his back sympathetically wanting nothing more but to cheer him up.

When he calmed down Patton pulled back from the embrace and looked up at Logan with puffy eyes. “Your jokes aren't funny at all..” He pouted. “Yes I now know, I shouldn't have said that.” Logan agreed without a doubt and pushed the hair away from Patton's face so that he could get a better look at him. “I really, truly, love you Patton.” Logan said in a firm tone wiping away any leftover tears from his glossy eyes. “I love you too...” Patton nodded and wrapped his arms around his neck nuzzling his face in his shoulder. “I'm sorry I took it too seriously.” Patton hid his blushing face.

Logan sat him down on his lap. “It was my fault, I should've known better.” Logan brushed his fingers through Patton's hair before pressing a kiss on his forehead, Patton looked up at him and frowned when he pulled back. “What's wrong?” Logan asked worriedly taking notice of the trait's upset expression, had he done something wrong?

“You missed.” He claimed, Logan frowned and furrowed his brows in confusion. “What—!?” Patton tugged at his tie and pulled him into a proper kiss on the lips and Logan ,who was startled, eventually eased into the kiss and grasped onto his shoulders to steady himself. When they both pulled away Patton smiled at him. “You never cease to surprise me dear.” Logan chuckled and fixed his now messy tie earning himself a small giggle in response. “It was payback.” Patton said with a mischievous smile.

“It was more like a sweet surprise,” Logan admitted teasingly. “and I really enjoyed it.” He leaned forward. “May I have another?” He asked curiously, Patton bit back a smile and shook his head. “Now where did you get that idea from?” He grinned, Logan frowned and tugged him close “I said I was sorry.” He frowned and Patton giggled. “I know Logi, it was just a joke! I'm sorry.” Patton looked at him and kissed him once more as soon as he caught his gaze.

Logan pulled back and smiled. “I love you Patton, always know that.” He stroked his hair back now being able to see Patton's blushing face. “I love you too.” He squeaked.

After that incident Logan never said jokes like that to Patton ever again, if there was one thing he hated, it was seeing Patton hurt. And he was willing to do anything to make sure that he never got hurt ever again.
