(Loceit) Scales

Okay, hear me out. I am experimenting and trying out some new ships that I have recently discovered, so yes, this may come out as a disaster. Be prepared!— (🎶 for sensational news 🎶 sorry not sorry)

Patton, Roman, and Virgil watched from the corner of the kitchen as they looked into the living room. “This is...odd.” Roman stammered out, his eyes wide with both shock and terror. Virgil nodded knowingly and growled under his breath, “I don't know how to feel about this..” He muttered darkly and shook his head, he looked up at Patton who was smiling as brightly as ever. “They're adorable, I think it's nice that Logan finally has someone to love.” He claimed with his usual cutesy charm.

Virgil and Roman exchanged confused expressions before sighing and nodding to their silent agreement, if Logan wasn't hurt, then it was okay.

Oh, you may be wondering what they're freaking out about, well you see while the trio were in the kitchen making dinner, Logan And Deceit had settled themselves on the couch in the common room, there Logan proceeded to read a book while Deceit had his head on Logan's lap which, for a dark side, was very unsettling to witness. He was extremely vulnerable, at peace, calm, and utterly relaxed. In fact, he was so comfortable he even allowed Logan to stroke his cheek as he slept, the one covered with his scales.

Virgil was freaking out over that because Deceit's scales were something that defined him, something that completed his character, and seeing Logan casually stroking his scales without a single care was certainly a sight to behold.

Patton nudged Virgil's shoulder and offered a small smile. “We should give them their privacy, how about we watch a movie or a show until dinner is done?” he suggested with a slight tilt of his head, Roman perked up and happily agreed. “Let's watch Good Omens my angels!” he pleaded and tugged at both Patton's and Virgil's hands, urging them to follow him. And so, without disturbing the other two, the small group made their way upstairs to Roman's room.

Logan hissed as the door above slammed shut and Deceit stirred beneath him, the logical trait winced and shushed the dark side, stroking his cheek with the back of his hand. “Logan?” he mumbled and groggily searched for his hand, Logan took his ungloved hand, admiring the gold nail polish, and gave it a small squeeze. “I'm here.” He announced in a low murmur, the dark persona opened his eyes and allowed a small smile to pull at his lips as soon as he looked up at him.

The intellectual side returned the small smile and untangled their interlocked hands so that he could once again stroke the smooth scales on his face, Deceit flushed but enjoyed the comforting feeling, it was nice and Logan's touch was one he trusted. He never allowed anyone else to touch them, he remembered once when Remus had attempted to touch them, let's just say Remus was put to bed rest for a whole week. It wasn't Deceit's fault though, the other dark sides would always make fun of him and sometimes even try to rip off the scales when they had a chance.

For that same reason, he had to slowly get comfortable with Logan touching or stroking his scales. But eventually, he had come to trust Logan, to love him and really be himself without having to fear punishment or humiliation.

Logan quietly called Deceit's name, breaking him from his trance. “You dozed off there for a moment.” He claimed with a frown, “is everything alright?” he asked worriedly, the deceitful side cleared his mind and nodded. “I'm fine, just...thinking about the past.” He admitted and leaned closer against Logan's touch, the intellectual hummed softly and quietly admired him, his thumb traced downwards caressing each and every smooth scale, Deceit let out a small sigh of content.

“You're beautiful.” Logan blurted out and immediately flushed bright pink when he realized what he said. Deceit smirked up at him and pressed a kiss on the palm of his hand, “how unlike you Logan.” He teased and quietly chuckled whilst the smarter trait recollected himself and regained his composure. “That..came out of nowhere, I do apologize if I startled and or offended you in any way.” He stammered out as he warily pulled at his tie, Deceit deadpanned. “You..you're apologizing for complimenting me? Ouch.” He feigned a hurt expression, “I thought you cared.”

Logan jumped. “Wait, no, that isn't what I meant! You're always beautiful! You never fail to amaze me...” He trailed off and stared into Deceit's heterochromatic eyes, the ladder squirmed beneath his gaze and quickly averted his eyes, he mumbled a few incoherent words under his breath as he picked at his golden colored nails. Logan furrowed his brows and lifted Deceit's chin up so that they were once again looking at each other. “What was that? I couldn't hear you.” He claimed.

Deceit flushed and glared at him, “I said I love you, idiot.” He grumbled and turned his head away, Logan froze as those words made their impact on him and an overwhelming warmth spread throughout his chest, he wrapped his arms around Deceit and kissed him on the cheek. “I...ahem, I love you as well.” He replied bashfully and cleared his throat afterward, Deceit huffed and crossed his arms trying to play it off with a sort of edginess, but even he couldn't stop the small smile that made its way to his lips.

“Thank you, Logan.”

“Hm? I only stated the truth, there's nothing to thank me for.”

“That's why, for being honest with me, especially with those words...words that hold no lie or coated with hatred. Thank you.”

“...anytime, dearest.”
