What Does the Sunset Look Like? (Logicality)
Patton's P.O.V.
So, ever since I can remember, I can't see things like most people see them. In fact, I actually can't see anything at all. I was born blind, or so Logan says. Something about that I was either born blind or became blind at a very young age where I couldn't form any memories of vision. I don't know. I can't really remember what he said, since it was years and years ago when we first met.

"Hello?! Is anyone there?!"
I flail my arms around, hitting nothing at all. I begin panicking. Where'd my mother go? Where'd my father go? Wait... How'd I even get here? Cold air is hitting my arms and hands... I thought the heaters were on in our house...
Suddenly, I feel a warm hand grasp onto my forearm. "Mom!" I yell excitedly. I'm about to hug who I think is my mother, but a young boy's voice, probably around my age, stops me.
"Um, no. I am not your mother. Why are you flailing your arms about in such a strange way?" The way he speaks makes me think he's older than me, but with how high his voice is, he can't be older than eleven.
"Huh? Where am I? Are you someone my mom and dad sent to help me?" I'm so confused. My lensless glasses frames I like to wear are pushed up by, I think, the boy's shaky hand. I can only imagine the look of confusion on my face. It must be noticeable enough, since he starts to speak.
"My name's Logan. I presume by the way you move your arms around and could not see that I am clearly not your mother, along with further evidence, you are blind. Am I correct?" I can tell he's sort of confused, too.
"U-Um... Yeah, I am. I'm Patton, by the way. How old are you?" I ask him, for some reason becoming less focused on my family back at my warm, small house.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, Patton. I am ten, soon to be eleven. And you?" He's ten years old... He's a year older than me...
"Oh, I'm nine years old."
"Oh. You must have been born blind, correct? Or at least lost your sense of sight at a very, very young age."
I can't remember that far back... He sounds smart, though, so he must know what he's talking about.
"Yeah, I guess so..."
I hadn't realized that my arm had still been up until Logan lowers it by my forearm he still has a hold on. He starts to carefully pull me along with him, leading me by my wrist.
"Come along with me, Patton. I will explain why you were brought here upon reaching the control center."
Control center? Really, where am I right now?
I can tell a long pause of silence fills the room, not needing my eyes to see that. I decide I need to break that silence.
"Logan? What does this place look like?" I innocently and politely ask.
He comes to a slow stop. He must have been so caught up in my, apparently sudden, appearance that he forgot to look at his surroundings.
"Well... It is very dark and we are approaching a big, blank screen. There is a glowing, blue button a little farther away from the screen, but not too far away."
Blue... I like how that sounds... It must be a pretty thing, whatever it is.
"Does it make you happy? Being here?" I randomly blurt out.
"I... I suppose so..." He sounds like he was caught off guard with my weird question. I respond anyways, smiling... I think...
"That's good. It's good that you're happy, Logan."
I hear jumbles of nervous stutters, but I think nothing of them. Probably just my imagination. Mother always said I have an overactive imagination... Interesting how things come into your mind, eh?

Ever since then, I have asked Logan about a lot of things. I asked him what he looked like and he told me. I asked him what Virgil and Roman look like. I even asked him what I looked like, since I never really asked my mother or father about that as a kid. Right now, he has told me we're sitting in an open field in Thomas' Imagination, the sun about to set, holding hands. I have decided to ask him something else today.
"Hey, Logan?"
He hums in response.
"What does the sunset look like?"
"Well, Patton, it looks like a big ball of bright light going behind a green hill, making the stars come out. The sky is turning a dark blue right now, it seems."
Dark blue... Even prettier than blue...
