Soulmates (Logic x Morality)

Based on a prompt I saw somewhere.

Soulmates.

Everyone had one. From the time that you were born, you had a special power that matched with something your soulmate needed. Sometimes they didn't really make a lot of sense, not at first, but once you finally were able to meet your soulmate it clicked.

There was no real way to know who your soulmate was until you noticed how well your power fit with them. Many people dated person after person, all in an attempt to find the person that fit perfectly.

Logan had never really understood that. It would all work out in the end, so why should he try and force that? He was happy to wait, and to find it out as time went along. When he met the person he thought it was, that's when he would worry about dating and all that other nonsense.

Even then he didn't really know if he would date anyone. He never was one for emotions. They confused him, and he preferred keeping his feelings to himself. It was his problem, he was fine dealing with it alone.

Logan had met Patton in school. The two became close very quickly, and Patton felt the same way as he did about dating. For the most part, at least, although he loved the idea of having a soulmate.

Neither of them really discussed their powers, didn't think it mattered. It wasn't like it was the first thing you discussed with people after meeting. It was something you found out as time went on.

As time went on, Logan noticed how clumsy Patton was. He always seemed to have some small scratch or bruise, nothing major, just little things that happened when he tripped over air. Logan didn't pay much attention to it at first, lots of people were clumsy. It didn't even register to him that he had the power to heal people. Nothing big-he couldn't heal anything major, or cure someone who was sick. Just small things, like cuts and bruises. Perfect for someone like Patton.

He did notice how perceptive Patton was. He picked up on emotions very easily, and could tell how Logan was feeling sometimes before Logan even knew he was feeling it. Logan knew Patton to be a very caring person, and he assumed that was all there was to it. He was just concerned, and picked up on things easily. He, again, didn't think much of it.

One day, as the two were walking along engaged in a conversation that Patton seemed very excited to talk about, the very animated boy tripped over his own feet, falling to the ground. Logan immediately grew worried, seeing Patton hurt upset him although he was unsure as to why. He helped him off the ground, looking him over.

"Are you hurt?" Logan questioned, scanning him for any injury. Patton held his hands close to his chest and hissed in pain, nodding slightly.

"Just... scraped up my hands, nothing to worry about." He gave Logan a smile, trying to keep him from feeling worried. "Really, I'm okay."

Logan paused for a moment, thinking. "Can I... see them?" He reached cautiously for Patton's hands, stopping an injury away. "Please?"

"I... I guess." Patton shrugged, smiling still and holding his hands out for Logan to see. "See? It's fine. Nothing serious."

Logan took Patton's hands gently in his own, looking them over and frowning. Without saying anything he covered the scraped part of Patton's hands, making him wince. Patton was confused when he felt them starting to hurt less, and looked up at Logan to find him concentrated. His eyes were closed, and he was chewing his lip.

After a while Logan opened his eyes again, smiling at Patton and letting go of his hands, that were now healed up completely. Patton was surprised, and he looked up at Logan excited.

"Whoa! You did that? That's awesome!" He jumped up and down excitedly. Logan looked down at the ground, cheeks red.

"Thanks. It uh... certainly is helpful, with you being so clumsy. You really should be more careful." Logan frowned, concern for Patton obvious.

"Yeah, I know. Sorry, Logan." He apologized, deflating. "Hey... since I know what your power is now, you wanna know mine?"

Logan looked up at him, smiling. "No, you don't have to tell me simply because you know mine. It's fine."

"I want you to know!" Patton smiled back. "Come on. I know you're curious."

"I must admit, I am a little eager to find out." Logan admitted, and Patton grinned.

"Yeah. I know. That's actually... what mine is. I can feel what other people can feel. So, if you feel embarrassed, or happy, or sad, or... in love, then... I'll know." Patton's cheeks burned, Logan's cheeks red as well.

"Oh. So... you can tell what I... feel right now?" Logan asked nervously, and Patton nodded.

"Yeah... I mean, I'm not trying to embarrass you more, I know you don't like to talk about your feelings but I feel like... Well, that's the point isn't it? You... need someone who understands and can help you, even when you don't wanna admit you're feeling bad." Patton couldn't meet Logan's eyes as he spoke, feeling too nervous.

"Are you saying... You think we are-?" Logan trailed off, but Patton knew what he was going to say.

"I mean... I thought that ours fit. I... have thought so about mine for a while now. I didn't want to bring it up in case I was wrong, but then you pointed out that yours is important for me too, and so I hoped that-" Patton rambled on, Logan cutting him off.

"They do fit. And Patton, I... well, I'm sure with your ability you already know how I feel for you. I hope that my feelings are returned..." Logan stared at the ground again, and Patton smiled.

"We're soulmates, Logan. Of course I love you too." Patton threw his arms around Logan in a hug, Logan soon returning the hug. Logan smiled at Patton, happy to finally have found his own soulmate. Although he had never thought he would enjoy having one, now that he knew it was Patton he knew that the rest of his life with him would be amazing.

"Can I kiss you?" Logan mumbled, out of no where. Patton didn't seem surprised at all, and laughed.

"Of course." He mumbled, pulling Logan into a kiss that was immediately returned, both of them holding each other close.

Out of everyone in the world Logan and Patton considered themselves lucky to have each other as soulmates.

I really liked this idea, dunno if I did it as great as I had hoped to. I rarely ever do soulmate AUs even tho I love them, I should really do them more often.

So, the idea for this did come from a prompt I found that basically said something about you and your soulmate having powers that complimented each other, but you only got them after you meet. Then another one said something about one being able to heal the other who was really clumsy and often had little scrapes and bruises and I thought it was the cutest thing ever, and then I thought of the being able to feel others emotions for Patton cause it just for him. I actually couldn't decide on a ship to use for this story at first. I considered a few different ones, originally it was gonna be Prinxiety, and then analogical, and then prince and morality (do they have a ship name???) and I just thought this one fit best and also people seem to like this ship more than analogical or the other ships I considered so y'know. I do also wanna write stuff you guys enjoy!

I need to get off now, though. I'm going back to the gym tomorrow. I may end up staying up a little later to write something sad tho, cause like, I haven't had the best day lmao so I might vent about that through a oneshot idk. I feel kinda like I can't leave my room without feeling anxious tho like literally every time I step outside to hang out with family or go out I have an anxiety attack idk why it's so bad right now.

Anyways, I hope you enjoyed this oneshot. Thanks for reading. *sends you bungee jumping where you wrestle a fish for a ring pop*

Take care of yourselves. I love you guys. Your thoughts can lie to you sometimes, anxiety can make you feel like everyone's against you but remember you have people who love you and things will be okay in the end. 💜💜💜 Bye!-Bob (also no one noticed the hearts last time were 💖💛💙 for the pan flag I'm disappointed) (notreallyily)
