Reading (Logic x Morality)
It was quiet tonight, where Logan sat, the only sound being the occasional turning of a page in his book. He was so enthralled in his book that, despite the silence, he didn't hear when another trait entered the room. He didn't notice their presence until they were standing right next to him, looking down at him.
Logan looked up, a bit startled, relaxing when he found only Morality was there. He offered a small smile, and without a word shifted to make room for the other, his arm up. Morality smiled back and lay down silently, ducking his head under Logan's arm to rest on his lap.
This happened often. Morality, when unable to sleep, would find Logan sitting in the living area. He was always there late, reading a book and occasionally falling asleep on the couch-though that only happened on nights he was so captivated by the story he was reading that he forgot his exhaustion until he had finished it and was too tired to make it too his room.
The first time Morality had found Logan up he scolded him for not being in bed. In turn, Logan had simply asked why he was not in bed if it were so important. He had quickly gone quiet. Really, he was glad that Logan would stay up later. He loved being able to sit with him when he couldn't sleep, and all was peaceful and quiet.
"Read to me?" Morality broke the silence in the room, and Logan simply offered a nod, clearing his threat and starting up where he already was. He knew Morality didn't mind not hearing the full story.
Morality really only asked to hear Logan's voice.
He had never told the other, but Logan's voice calmed him. Sometimes, the night was too quiet, and he needed something to listen to. When he really thought about it though, he knew just having any noise to listen to wasn't what he wanted; he longed to hear Logan's voice on these quiet nights, and Logan didn't seem to mind reading aloud to him. Actually, he seemed to enjoy the time shared with Morality.
It didn't take long, listening to Logan's voice as he read in the otherwise silent room, for Morality to drift off, feeling warm and happy. Logan wouldn't admit it, even to himself, but when Morality lay against him on nights like these, he felt warm and happy too.
He trailed off on his reading as he gazed down at his sleeping friend, a smile forming on his lips. He brushed some hair away from the other's forehead, very gently(and awkwardly) leaning down to kiss Morality's forehead.
Usually, after noticing his friend drift off, Logan would carry him back to his room so he could sleep more comfortably in his bed. Today, however, Logan found himself fighting a yawn as he sat next to Morality. Found himself not wanting to get up, or to be parted from him. He wished to simply enjoy their closeness, to fall asleep with the other leaning against him.
Despite knowing he would regret the crick in his neck from sleeping on the couch by the next morning, Logan set his book aside and let his eyes slowly slide shut.
I wrote something similar to this for a different ship a long time ago, but I think this one is better. And cuter.
I mostly just remembered the idea because I've been reading all night and need sleep. Oh well
Sorry these are kinda short!! I'm, not very good at writing long fics lol. I hope you've enjoyed them anyways. Bye!-Bob
Also only like, three oneshots out of all of the ones I've written were actually written at a reasonable time of day.
All of the rest of them were posted at 1-2 in the morning-just like this one I guess haha
