(Prince x Anxiety)
So.... trigger warning for hints of suicidal thoughts, and anxiety attacks. Someone asked for angst and well like I need to vent so y'know here this exists now. Please be careful, don't read this if it will bother you I'll try to immediately write something fluffy afterwards for people who can't read these. Please, remember that you are important and that I love you and I'm sure plenty of others do as well. Also the end up of this is happy so don't worry okay I can't write anything too sad
Roman, Logan, and Patton were all with Thomas when it happened. Thomas began to worry, and it didn't take long for them to realize he was having a bad anxiety attack. Patton immediately was there to help him, doing what he could to cheer him up while Logan did his best to disprove his worries with his logic. Roman however became immediately concerned with Virgil, realizing that if Thomas were feeling bad while he wasn't even there that must mean that he was having an attack as well.
Silently sinking down after being sure the others were taking good care of Thomas Roman appeared in Virgil's room, looking around for his boyfriend and finding him curled up in his bed. He approached him carefully, not wanting to startle him and make him panic more. "Love? Are you alright?"
Virgil shook his head and pulled his blankets over himself to hide from Roman, but not before he caught the tears falling down his cheeks.
"Virgil..." Roman frowned, making his way over to the bed and sitting down next to him, an arm on his shoulder to calm him. "Talk to me. I am here for you."
Roman was surprised to suddenly find himself wrapped in a hug, hearing a pained sob from Virgil as he hid his face in Roman's shoulder. He hugged him back as soon as he realized what was going on, running his hands through Virgil's hair gently. They sat in silence like that for a while, Roman waiting for Virgil to calm down enough to talk.
"Why do you care so much?" Virgil questioned, and Roman's heart broke at how sad he sounded. How broken, and scared. "Why does it matter if I'm okay or not? All I do... all I do is hurt the people I care the most about. I'm not important, I'm always anxious and sad and in need of help from someone. Aren't you tired of me?"
"Of course not, Virgil! How could you say that? You don't hurt us, and if you do we know you had the best of intentions. You keep Thomas out of harms way, we've been over how important you are to him. What makes you think I'd ever get tired of you?" Roman frowned at him, brushing some hair out of his face to see him better. "I love you. We all do."
"I'm just the bad guy. I try to help but I... I make things worse. You probably only came here because Thomas is hurting, which is my fault. By being like this all the time, so scared and so sad, I hurt him."
"That is not the only reason I came here, and it makes me upset that you'd think that. Virgil, I came because I was worried about you, because I love you, and I always want you to feel okay." Roman kissed the top of his head, holding his close.
"I don't want to hurt him," Virgil cried, fingers gripping tightly to the back of Roman's shirt, leaning into him. "I don't want to hurt anymore. I just want it all to end."
Roman held him tighter, protectively. "Things can get better, love. You can get better, and be happy, and you'll have me with you every step of the way. I know there's no immediate solution, but I know you can hold on long enough to be happy again. I know you can get better. You have me, and you have Patton and Logan and Thomas on your side as well. We will be with you, no matter what."
Virgil was quiet for a long time after Roman spoke, and Roman started to believe he had tired himself out and fallen asleep against him, until at last he spoke up.
"Thank you," he mumbled, sighing and relaxing against Roman. "Can you... can you stay with me tonight? Please?"
"Of course," Roman whispered, kissing the top of his head. He moved them both so that they were lying down, wrapping the covers around them both and never once letting go of Virgil.
"I love you," Virgil muttered sleepily, eyes closed, feeling safe and warm in Roman's arms. "I know you're here for me. Thank you."
"I'll always be here to look out for you. I love you too, Virgil. I promise, I will always keep you safe." Roman assured him, a tiny, sad smile on his lips. Virgil mumbled something back, and then Roman could tell he had fallen asleep. He soon followed, drifting off, both of them having dreams of a happier future that they both couldn't wait to get to.
Guess who's suicidal again
This guy, ahaha.
I'm sure I'll feel better tomorrow. Don't worry. I swear I won't disappear on you guys.
I really am gonna try and update again, so that there's something happier to read as well, and also cause I'd like to cheer myself up a bit so I don't like... have any bad dreams, that seems to happen a lot to me when I'm stressed or sad.
Thanks for reading, I hope this was alright. *offers you a shitton of ring pops and dog/cat photos as an apology for angst*
Take care of yourselves. Just remember that people love you, and the world wouldn't be as bright without you in it. You're amazing, in your own perfect way. I love you. ❤️💛💚💙💜 Bye-Bob
