Love Notes (Logic x Morality)
It was a couple of days ago that it began. Logan had found little notes in various places he was in, notes with short and silly poems written on the back of them. Today's note appeared in his book, next to his old bookmark he used.
"Roses are red,
Violets are blue,
But no kind of flower,
Is as pretty as you!"
Logan smiled slightly at the note, looking around to see no one else around, and tucking it away in his pocket to put with the other's later. He, of course, had already figured out who was leaving the notes, although he said nothing. Obviously it would not have been Anxiety, as that wasn't something he would ever do, and they were too bubbly and kind to be from Prince. Even if it was from Prince, he certainly wouldn't leave the notes anonymous, that just wasn't like him at all. If he did something, he made sure everyone knew it was him who did it and no one else, and that he was the best.
So that only left Morality, and even if Logan thought he may have been wrong, Morality was not very good at sneaking. Many times already Logan had seen him enter his room, paper in hand, not even noticing Logan standing just down the hall watching. He still said nothing though, as every time Morality left a note he would have a bright smile on his face the rest of the day, and there was certainly no reason for Logan to end that.
Later on in the day, Logan caught Morality once again sneaking a message. This time, however, he looked very nervous, and Logan wasn't sure why. Every other time he had done this he had seemed so happy, so what could make him nervous this time? What was different?
Logan decided he would find out himself after he read the note, and silently waited for Morality to exit the room, examining him as he stepped out and shut the door. His cheeks were red, and eyes cast down to the floor; he didn't know Logan was right in front of him until he crashed into him.
"O-oh, Logan! Sorry, I.. didn't mean to run into you there." He chuckled awkwardly, unable to look Logan in the eyes.
"Is everything alright, Morality?" He questioned, genuinely concerned. He knew it was likely showing on his face, and once more wished emotions weren't something he had to handle.
"Oh, yes! I'm fine, just perfect." Morality grinned at him, but Logan could tell it was off. "Just, ah, a little flustered." He shrugged, and Logan frowned.
"Well, if you need anything, please let me know." He offered, giving the briefest of smiles to Morality. That seemed to help his smile return, if only a small one.
"Will do, Logan." He smiled. "For now I gotta go, but I'll see you around!"
With that he was off walking down the hall again, and Logan wasted no time in heading to his room to find the note Morality had left for him. He must not have wanted Logan to find it very quickly, because it was hidden very well. Logan did find it though, in his desk drawer under a folder.
This note seemed different from all the rest; rather than being scribbled down quickly it appeared he had taken time and put care into writing this note, each letter carefully written out. He had very good handwriting, when he took his time, Logan noted.
"Dear Logan,
I'm sure you've noticed this note is different from the rest. It's longer, and not a poem. I do hope you've enjoyed the poems though, you did say you had an appreciation for poetry. I know they were just silly, but I hope they brightened up your day! Right now I'm writing this letter because I've needed to get something off my chest.
Logan, I think you're wonderful. I love everything about you, the way your eyes light up as you're solving something in your head, the way you think. I love you. I love you so much.
Anyways, that's all I wanted to say. I feel relieved writing this down, and I know you're really smart so I'm really hoping you haven't already figured out who this is.
Love you! -Not a Poet"
Logan stared at the paper clutched in his hands for a while after reading it. He read over a second time, and then a third, just to be sure he had read it all correctly.
Morality was in love with him. Morality was in love with him, and Logan needed to find him now. Needed to let him know he felt the same.
Of course, Logan had discovered this a while ago. Long before the little silly poems, long before he really understood emotions at all. He still didn't understand them well, but knew enough. He learned enough to realize that love was the only way to describe what he felt for Morality.
Folding up the note, Logan held it in his hand as he walked out of his room in search of Morality, hoping to find him soon and talk to him. He knocked on his door first, and was relieved, happy and yet terrified that he was in the first place he checked, calling back for him to come in. Logan's face heat up, twisting the door handle and stepping inside, finding Morality sitting up in his bed, his own cheeks growing red as he saw who it was.
"Oh, h-hey Logan! What brings you here?" He questioned, smiling. Logan held out the note to him. "What's that?" Morality tried to play dumb.
"The note you wrote me." Logan answered, hating that his cheeks felt like they were on fire. "I.. I knew it was you leaving me those notes for a while, I never guessed this was why." He tried so hard not to stumble over his words. Morality seemed to be tearing up.
"I.. oh." He mumbled, breath catching. "I'm sorry, I-"
"Please, let me speak Morality." Logan cut him off. "Sorry." He added. Morality just nodded.
"Well, I.. am not quite sure how to say this, forgive me. You already know I'm not very good at conveying emotions.." he started off, clearing his throat and stepping closer to Morality, standing in front of him. "But while I have known for some time it was you leaving the notes, I've also known that I.. well, I fell very close to you. Closer than with any other friends." He took a deep breath, not sure if he should go on.
"What do you mean?" Morality breathed out, sounding almost more nervous than Logan felt. Logan looked at the ground a moment, then back up to Morality.
"Well, I mean that I return your affections. I love you too, Morality." He whispered at the end, still looking at the ground and not daring to look Morality in the eyes. Why was he so nervous?
He let out a noise of surprise as his arm was yanked down, falling onto the bed next to Morality, who was hugging him tightly and talking fast and excited. "You do? You really do? Oh Logan, I love you so much, you make me so happy!" He squealed, and Logan let a smile find its way to his lips. Morality grinned right back down at him, leaning down to press a kiss to his cheek, and another, and another.
"M-Mo-" Logan tried to speak, chuckling. Morality pulled away before he had to say anymore, though.
"Sorry! I'm just so excited." He laughed, cheeks glowing. Logan didn't say anything, but pulled Morality back so that their noses nearly touched, watching him carefully and seeming nervous.
"It's alright. I'm just.. not used to any of this.." he sighed out.
Morality noticed his eyes shift to his lips, and he smiled. "That's okay. I'm sure you can get used to it. If you want to, anyways.. I love you. I'm happy just to hear you say that back, and to just be around you."
"Thank you. Another thing I like very much about you is how understanding you are.." Logan glanced away from him again, and looked shy. It was certainly strange, seeing him like this, Morality thought.
"Could I.. well, er.." Logan stumbled over words, trying to form a sentence. He was unable to form the one word he desperately needed in that moment, but thankfully Morality understood without him having to say. He leaned down closer, connecting their lips softly, the kiss only lasting for a few moments.
As it ended, Logan stared up at Morality, still blushing deeply.
"I.. I really love you, Morality." He whispered, and looked up at him, trying to rid his face of his emotions.
"And I love you too Logan." He grinned back.
Both were incredibly happy for the love notes he had left.
