Yay for angst (that I'm really not good at)

It was a simple dare. There was nothing to it, Roman just had to tell Virgil that he loved him, and then they'd both laugh it off. Obviously Virgil didn't really like him. That would be absurd.

That's what Roman expected, at least.

He approached the anxious side cautiously, appearing nervous. It was an act, of course. He had to be convincing. Virgil had glanced up at him briefly, going back to looking at his phone right afterwards.

"What do you want?" He grumbled, positive that whatever Roman had to say he wouldn't be interested. Roman hesitated for a second, both because he wanted to seem nervous and because he was beginning to rethink his plan. Maybe this dare wasn't worth it. It was kind of stupid.

Roman never was one to back down from a challenge though, so of course he pulled himself together.

"I.. have something I'd like to tell you," he gave him a small smile, drawing in a deep breath. "I.. really like you, Virgil. I just... wanted to tell you that."

It was silent for a moment as Virgil processed what he said, completely shocked that Roman would say that. It definitely wasn't what he was expecting to hear.

"I... really?" Virgil questioned, and Roman wondered if he had seen through his joke. Roman nodded, looking at the ground, waiting for a response.

"I really like you too, Roman..." Virgil spoke finally, a small smile on his face. Roman looked up at him quickly, his shock and fear obvious. It was clear that that was not the answer he expected to receive.

"You-I-what?" Roman stuttered, unable to form a coherent sentence.

"I said I like you too. Why do you look so worried? Isn't that a good thing?" The anxious side frowned, starting to worry. Roman paled, and shook his head quickly.

"No! That's not a good thing!" Roman shouted, and Virgil flinched. He was still really confused about everything.

"What? Why wouldn't that be a good thing?" He asked, watching as Roman started pacing back and forth. After a minute the royal came to a stop, standing in front of Virgil and looking him in the eye.

"Listen, Virgil, I... am flattered, but I was only joking. It was a dare for me to tell you, I thought it would be funny to see your reaction but I didn't expect... this." Roman explained, frowning.

Virgil's face burned a dark red as he took in the situation, not saying a word for what felt like forever. Roman noticed tears gather in the other's eyes, and immediately guilt began to eat at him. He felt sick to his stomach, and he wanted to throw up, wished he could rewind time to not go through with the pointless dare.

"Virgil, I'm sor-"

Virgil stopped him, holding up his hand silently. Roman saw a few tears falling from his eyes that he tried to hide behind his hood that he had pulled up.

"Don't. Just, stop." Virgil drew in a shaky breath, and without another word he sank down, probably to hide away in his room. Roman was left to stand alone, not moving and still thinking over everything that had happened.

He had screwed up. He hurt Virgil, all because he couldn't stand losing, just because he couldn't refuse a simple and stupid dare.

He screwed up.

I started writing this before 2 and I planned on going to bed as soon as it was done but then my dad came into my room and asked me if I wanted to go to IHOP with him and we got my sister and mom to come along and it was great actually
Of course when we get our straws at restaurants we blow the wrappers at each other or we tear them up and make them into balls to throw at each other, and today we decided it was a good idea to try and get them in our mouths. So like, I'd open my mouth while my sister tried to throw it at me, it was hilarious lmao

So like, sorry to my friends who read this who I haven't responded to. It's cause of that, and now I'm too tired to stay on so, y'know.

If you could have an hour long conversation over the phone with anyone in the world, who would you call?

I'd call Thomas Sanders honestly, how awesome would it be to talk to him for an hour
The problem is...... I'd have difficulty talking to any random person on the phone for an hour, so to talk to someone I look up to? Gosh I'd be panicking the whole time

Also. Why the hell are humans so attractive. Like.... boys??? How are they so cute? And hot? Girls too!! How do they do it, I must know the secret to being hot so I can attract other attractive human beings bc oh my gosh. I'm such a dweeb compared to everyone I know. My friends are super cute. Some of the people I've seen around online are really cute. Ahhhhhhhhhhh I just want a date please someone date me I'd be an amazing boyfriend I swear

See the thing is tho. I think the reason I'd slightly prefer to have a boyfriend than a girlfriend has nothing to do with me not being as attracted to girls as guys, but like, I'm terrified lmao. I had an abusive girlfriend so y'know. Not fun.

Is that weird? Or bad? I mean obviously I'm aware that not everyone is like them. Of course I realize that. It's just... I'm really terrified to like anybody. Doesn't matter who they are, I worry about being hurt. I trust people so little now that when someone approaches me just to be friends I constantly remind myself to not talk too much, or don't be annoying, if you have to leave the conversation for any reason they will be mad at you and hate you. They'll yell at you. Be careful. And I hate it. It's stupid.
