Children (Prince x Anxiety)

Requested. AU where Roman and Anxiety are kids in school.

"Hey, give it back!" Anxiety demanded, crossing his arms and stomping his foot. Another student, Roman, had stolen something he had been playing with. Said child was sticking his tongue out at Anxiety, holding it away from him.

"You'll have to get it from me!" Roman laughed and ran the other way, Anxiety chasing after him quickly.

"Give it back, stupid!" He called, slowly advancing on Roman. Suddenly the two came to a crashing halt. Roman had run into the teacher, and Anxiety soon crashed into him, both of them falling on their backs.

"You two, behave! I don't want to have to call your parents again." He scolded, both of them looking up at him worriedly.

"Please don't call our parents!" Roman shouted, looking as though he were on the verge of tears already.

"We weren't doing anything wrong." Anxiety insisted. "Roman's just being dumb."

"Am not!" The boy pouted, jabbing Anxiety in the side with his elbow. Anxiety was quick to jab him back.

"Yes you are. You stole my stuff, and now you're gonna get us both in trouble." He argued, Roman gaped at him.

"Both of you, that's enough. Go sit in your assigned seats and wait for your parents to get here." The teacher ordered, both of them sighing and slinking over to their seats. Once there Roman glanced at Anxiety, muttering.

"It's not my fault."

"Well it's not mine either." Anxiety huffed, and Roman shrugged.

"Why don't we just forget about it then, and talk until our parents get here?" Roman offered. "We don't have nothing else to do." Anxiety shrugged too, and the two of them launched into a long conversation about dragons and knights and princes.

Once Roman and Anxiety's parents arrived, they rushed over to their kids.

"Roman, I'm disappointed in you." Patton frowned at his son, crossing his arms. Roman looked down sadly, Anxiety frowned too. He hated seeing Roman upset.

"I am upset as well, Anxiety." Logan sighed. "Getting into a fight, before class even really began?"

"A fight?" Anxiety questioned, shaking his head quickly. "I wasn't fighting with anybody!"

"Now Anxiety, don't lie. I heard what happened." He shook his head. "Lying will only get you into more trouble."

"I'm not lying though." He protested further. "Me and Roman were only playing. He stole something from me so I chased him around. It's okay though, because..."

The boy paused, glancing at Roman and Patton, who were listening to him explain. He gestured for Logan to lean closer to him, whispering into his ear. "I really like him..."

"Oh..." Logan nodded thoughtfully, a smile growing on his face. "Well, it's okay if you guys play but next time you have to be more careful okay? No more disrupting class, and running into the teacher."

"Okay." Anxiety nodded, holding out his hand with his pinkie extended. "I promise!"

Logan smiled, linking his pinkie with his son's. "Good."

"Do you promise to be good too, Roman?" Patton turned to his son, who also agreed to be on his best behavior.

"We'll explain things to your teacher." Logan assured, and after saying a few quick goodbyes walked off. On the way out of course, Logan explained what Anxiety had told him to Patton. The parents found it very sweet.

Roman and Anxiety found it slightly difficult not to get into any trouble at first, but found it easy to get along when they actually tried.
