Patton and Logan were making brownies.

Well, Patton was making brownies. Logan was sitting to the side, reading off the instructions. Patton frowned as he got out the things Logan said he needed, glancing over at him. "You know the whole fun part of baking is... actually baking, right? Don't you wanna help?"

"Am I not helping out this way?" Logan questioned, frowning as well.

"Well, you are, but won't you have more fun if you help put it all together instead of just reading things off?" Patton asked, setting down the things needed and waiting to see what he needed next.

"I thought this was about having brownies, not fun." Logan read off what was next on the boxes instructions.

"Well, the brownie part is good, but it's also nice to make stuff! If you don't want to, that's fine too though." Patton shrugged, following instructions and smiling over at Logan. (Ah yes phone, please correct smiling to mooing. That makes perfect sense.)

"Well, I would prefer to read things off. It's easier this way anyways. I am no good at baking." Logan said simply, watching Patton as he did what Logan said, reading off the next thing to do once he finished. Patton smiled-he was glad Logan wanted to help in any way, and being with him always made him happy.

"You should also go ahead and preheat the oven, so that it is done when you're ready to put the brownies in." Logan mentioned. "Make sure there's nothing in there first." (What? I didn't almost start a fire at my grandparents this way really recently idk what you're talking about)

"Why would there be anything in there?" Patton asked as he pressed the buttons on the oven.

"I don't know, but you should always check to be sure. You wouldn't want to start a fire." Logan advised, and Patton nodded, opening the oven door and checking.

"You're right. It's always important to be safe!" After finding nothing inside Patton went back to finishing making it, hearing the oven beep to let them know it was done just as he was finishing up. He put them in the oven, Logan warning him to be careful, and closed up the door to set a timer. Once he had finished he turned to Logan, smiling at him. "Thanks for helping me!"

"You are welcome. I enjoy spending time with you. What are we going to do while we wait for them to finish?" Logan asked, and Patton smiled as he walked over to him.

"Let's go start watching a movie!" He suggested, kissing his lips and then dragging him into their living room to watch something. Logan smiled and followed behind him, telling Patton that he would turn the movie on. Of course, he played Patton's favorite, sitting on the couch and wrapping his arms around him, kissing the top of his head.

"Love you, Logan." Patton smiled at him, hugging him close.

"I love you too, Patton." Logan smiled back.

I'm exhausted but I literally can't go to sleep without writing a oneshot or I feel guilty lmao. Also yes cooking is dangerous and you should be careful when using stoves/ovens.

Also I really wanna bake something now. Maybe I will... I might. Possibly. I have other things to work on first haha. I may write another oneshot tonight, or it might be up tomorrow idk but I know I'm writing one soon. Probably tonight.

Also I remembered my echo speaker was downstairs, so I connected my phone to it and played goofy goober rock from spongebob on it really loud and scared my sister she shouted at me and threatened to punch me it was worth it
