Just Rivals? (Prinxiety)
Please note!: I fucking hate J.K Rowling, I just like Harry Potter and putting the Sanders Sides' characters in Hogwarts. That is all.
"Hey nerd!"
Virgil rolled his eyes and kept walking, shifting his broomstick so it rested easier on his shoulders.
"Hey! Nerd!"
"Just ignore it." Virgil muttered to himself, walking a little faster to try and catch up with his team.
"Ravenclaw!" Too late. Virgil rolled his eyes again and turned to face Roman.
"What Disney Reject?"
The nickname threw Roman a little. Of course, as a pureblood, he had no idea what Disney was.
"I- What the Hell was that on the pitch?"
Virgil smirked. "That was me beating you at your own game, Princey." He turned around and tried to walk away but Roman ran in front of him, blocking his way. "Look Princey, if you're so anxious for my attention, we could pick this back up at 10 o'clock tonight."
Roman looked at Virgil open-mouthed, blush creeping up his cheeks. Virgil smirked again and tried to walk around the flustered Roman. Roman grabbed him by his Quidditch robes to stop him.
"What in Merlin gave you the idea that I want your attention?" Roman managed to say without stuttering. Virgil laughed once through his nose and plucked Roman's hand off him.
"You seemed awful flustered on the pitch this game." He stood up on his tip-toes and leaned a little closer to Roman. "Not to mention right now."
Roman stumbled back perhaps a little too quickly, the blush on his cheeks darkening. Virgil grinned at him.
"Like I said, if you're really so desperate for my attention-"
"Oh, don't even think about it." Roman said, crossing his arms as well as he could with a broomstick in his hand and praying his blush wasn't that noticeable. It was that noticeable.
Virgil looked him up and down and smirked. "I'm thinking about it, Princey."
"You're worse than Re, you know that right?" Virgil laughed. "How'd you even get in to Ravenclaw?"
"Stereotyping now, are we Sing-A-Lot?" Virgil looked Roman up and down again and laughed through his nose before walking around the Gryffindor.
"Where?" Roman asked.
"Huh?" Virgil looked around.
"Where would we meet? Hypothetically."
Virgil grinned. "Great Lake. And remember, 10 o'clock."
Roman crossed his arms and tapped his foot on the ground. He was such an idiot. Virgil had just been messing with him, it wasn't like he was actually going to show up.
"Probably too busy doing extra work." Roman muttered out loud bitterly.
"Oh, I finish all of that in the morning." Virgil said from behind him, making him jump. "Why're you so surprised? Thought I wouldn't show up, love?"
Roman bit the inside of his cheek, looking down at his feet. "What was that? Earlier today."
Virgil grinned, outlined in the moonlight. "That was me flirting with the most egotistical Gryffindor of the school." He kissed Roman on the nose playfully. "Or less commonly known as my boyfriend."
"I'm not that egotistical, am I?" Roman asked quietly.
"No, of course not. Sorry." Virgil added quickly.
Roman sat down and looked out over the Great Lake, a perfect mirror of the night sky above them, not a ripple in sight.
"It's really peaceful at night." Roman mused. Virgil sat down next to him and wound his arm around Roman's, putting his head on his shoulder.
"Yeah. Just how I like it." Virgil looked up at Roman, his eyes seeming to reflect the light of all the stars above, before looking back across the lake when he realised Roman was looking back at him.
"Virgil?" Roman asked after a couple of minutes of calm silence.
"Mhm?"
"Can I kiss you?" Roman's voice trailed off into a whisper. Virgil looked up at him and unlatched himself from Roman's arm before nodding.
Slowly, Roman leaned in a kissed Virgil softly. It wasn't long, it wasn't passionate and it wasn't what you'd expect from two 'rivals' who flirted mercilessly with each other but it was perfect for the both of them.
Roman pulled back and smiled at Virgil, caressing his cheek. Virgil leaned into the touch and smiled. He leaned forwards again and kissed Roman, his hand going to the back of Roman's head. His other hand scrabbled around for Roman's free hand and interlaced their fingers.
This kiss was a lot longer and when they pulled back, they were both out of breath and bright eyed.
Wordlessly, Virgil leaned against Roman and closed his eyes. Roman wrapped one arm around Virgil and played his hair, getting a contented sigh from the other boy.
"You ready to come out into the open about us?" Roman asked quietly. Virgil shook his head. "Okay, that's fine." He kissed Virgil's hair. "Whenever you're ready."
This is completely self-indulgent fluff. ENJOY!
Bye,
Blaize
