The invisibe boy

The small boy, Logan, woke up with a slight headache. He wasn't sure what had happened just yesterday, he remembered going to the shop with his mother, or mommy as he said. After that was a blur however. He slowly got off his bed, seeing he had sleep in his normal outfit. The shirt was a simple dark purple, a almost black color. He had some simple pants on as well. He crept down the stairs hoping to scare his mother. It was normal for him to do so.

When he was at the bottom of the stairs however, he saw his mother wiping away tears and his father wiping his own but also trying to comfort his wife. Logan went down the rest of the stairs and tugged on his mother's shirt seeming as he was very short for his age.

"Mommy?" The boy said quietly. He didn't get a answer but a sob did erupt from both parents.

"Mom?" A voice suddenly called from the stairs. The voice was hoarse and shaking. The mother wiped her tears quickly and got up, pushing Logan out of the way without any recognition that he was there.

"Yes sweet pea?" Her voice broke slightly, but she stayed strong and comforted her oldest.

"I miss him" They said, tears forming, threatening to fall any second.

"I do too sweetie, it's gonna be okay though. He wouldn't want us to be crying now would he?" She said, trying to be brave and okay with it all.

"What's happening!" Logan yelled. No one seemed to noticed. He looked to Virgil. Hoping that they would talk to him. Silent tears ran down Logan's face. Sobs shaking him. He ran to his sibling. Hugging them. Virgil looked scared, pulling their jacket away from themself, and pushing Logan away at the same time. Logan cried even more, this time loudly. He sat on the floor, hoping someone in the family would come and hug him. That's all he wanted, a hug. However it seemed that no one even knew the boy was there.

"I know Logan would want us to-" They said wiping their eyes "-but I can't help it! He's gone and I can't do anything about it!" They sobbed, sitting on the steps. The mother engulfed them in a hug, softly shushing them. Logan was jealous yes, but highly confused as well. He was right there, what happened.

"Virgil?" Logan asked in a whisper. Virgil made no sign of hearing him, instead their cry's softened slightly. "Why won't you talk to me? Did I do something wrong? I'm right here!" They said quickly. Seeing nothing come from anyone, he laid his head against the wall, it making a small thump. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Virgil look over to where he hit his head. Logan looked up happily, had Virgil realized he was here? He banged his hand against the wall, it again making a thump. Virgil narrowed their eyes. "Virgil?" Logan asked hopefully. Instead, Virgil just shook their head, a blank look coming to their face. Logan for once in his life, felt truly alone.

This was all based off the fact of a ghost that lives in my house. I'm certain of it. I just made it sander sides. Hope you enjoyed
