I'll never admit it

Logan was totally a normal teen. Well no, he was a loner. He thought others were a distraction. It was that or because of the bullying. Logan was called many things, Robot, Emotionless, Nerd, Teachers pet, and many more. Hes learned to just agree and continue walking.

There was another teen that was very similar to Logan. His name was Patton. He was bullied as well but, he had it worse. Everyone knew if you were to touch Logan, you would figuratively die. So Logan was just emotionally bullied. Patton however, was both physically and emotionally bullied. Patton had always been told he was too emotional, stupid, silly, pushover. Pushover was pretty accurate, you could push him over very easily. He was being beat up for the third time that week, i'll let him tell you the rest.

"Hey! look! the crybaby's about to cry again!" Jackson laughed.

"Stop it!" Jackie mocked.

Jackson gave the final kick to Patton's ribs.

The twins laughed and walked away.

"Im not a cry baby" He whispered. He slowly get up in order to not hurt himself even more. Slowly he make it to his bag walking to the library. You may think 'just go to the nurse', the nurse thinks that he's just looking to get out of school. He walked through the school halls hoping no one would find him.

I grab a few books and papers from my bag and lay them out on the table. I look over all the papers my history work catching my eye. Before I can even grab the paper, a short about 4' 11" frail looking boy hurries in limping to a table behind me in the corner. You see normally I would forget about the boy but my intuition said to check on him. So I get up with my things stuffed into my bag walking over the boy. As I get closer, I notice a small white bag on the table and a ace bandage as well sitting on the table.

The boy has blond short and curly hair. His lip is busted. He has round black glasses. Wearing a blue sweater that looks a tad over sized. He has his shirt lifted a bit wrapping a ace bandage around his torso as well.

"Are you okay?" I ask.

He jumps and looks fearfully at me.

"Im not going to hurt you I just want to know if you okay."

He looks down shaking his head. I sit down next to him.

"Need any help?"

"Uh s-sure"

I grab the Bandage on the table.

"what else needs to be wrapped?" I ask as he finishes wrapping his torso.

"My arm" He says quietly while rolling up his sleeve.

When his sleeve is rolled up I see a baseball sized bruise.

"If you don't mind me asking, what happened?" I ask while wrapping his arm.

"Just Jackson and Jackie again" he says quietly.

"Again?"

"I don't wanna talk about it anymore" he whispers.

Nodding I grab my packed lunch and start eating I can do work later I need to eat for now. I notice that I don't have the boys name and he doesn't have a lunch. I offer the other half of my sandwich. His eyes, a calm steel blue light up and he give a small smile. Taking the sandwich gratefully.

"I never got your name" I say putting away the rest of my lunch.

"Patton, yours?"

"Logan"

We sit in a conformable silence until the bell rings. I get up waving bye to Patton.

It's been a few days since I met Patton although when he showed up for lunch today he look out of breath. Maybe he ran? Anyways, I walk down the halls towards the front doors.

"Hey look! We found the wimp again!" I hear down the hall.

My pace speeds up almost to a run. When I turn the corner I see Patton on the ground in the fetal position.

"Hey! Leave him be." Jackson jumps but quickly regains his normal demeanor.

"Oh no! Is the nerd gonna throw some punches?" Jackie laughs.

I step between Patton and the twins.

"Don't fucking touch him."

"I'm so scared"

I punch him in the face.

"Try again"

"What? Why you standing up for the kid? He's so fucking stupid!" He says while wiping his nose.

I punch him in the gut.

"You get one more chance, don't fuck it up"

He fearfully shakes his head. They run off with their tails between their legs.

"Are you okay Patton?" I ask turning to help him.

"Well could be better." he chuckles wiping his eyes.

I help him stand.

"Logan? Hug?" Opening his arms.

"Im not really a hug person."

That really didn't stop him from a hug, I awkwardly pat his back which is as close to a hug I get to.

"Thank you Logan"

"Your thanks is appreciated, but not necessarily needed. I did what anyone would do I believe."

He shakes his head "No, most would want to help but wouldn't."

"Huh, maybe I do have something to learn from you."

"Ha! Told ya!" He laughs running around me in a circle. I believe he's doing as he says a victory lap.

"Okay Patton I get it."

He laughs again and grabs his bag.

"Let's go!" He says almost dragging me.

I comply and walk close behind him. How did his attitude change so fast? One minute he's crying on the floor next he's happy pappy Patton as he likes to joke.

Patton really is a enigma. He's so strange. Almost incomprehensible.

We continue down the halls at a quick pace. Barely avoiding the other people in the hall.

We finally reach the front doors and step outside.

"Wanna come to my house?"  He asks. I'm very tempted to correct him put I know that gets nowhere.

"I'm sorry Patton, but I am unable to visit your house. I have homework and I'm sure you do as well."

"Fine," he drags out. "Maybe I can get your number? So we can at least talk?"

I nod. "Of course," he pulls out his phone "my number is 207-232-0184"((don't know if that's a real number just don't call it plz)) he gives me his number and we part ways.

Leaving him lately has been hard. I get this strange feeling in my chest saying to stay with him, but I don't act on the feeling. Instead try and ignore it.

Walking down the street towards my house I notice a small dog park. I smile, it reminding me of Patton. I wonder how I've never noticed it.

I continue to walk down the dead end street coming close to my house. Home sweet home. I see both cars gone. Meaning that my mother is out of town and my brother not home yet.

I walk into the house and put away my shoes. I walk up the stairs and enter my room. I lie down on my bed and sit there staring at the ceiling for awhile. I wonder what Patton is doing.

Look, this was meant to be a book called I'll never admit it but I haven't gotten even to the second chapter. If enough people want this as a book I'll make it but it will be very, very slow updates.
