Roman and Patton had gone to bed almost an hour ago, leaving the mindscape with a serene quiet. Logan sat on the couch with his book, another novel Agatha Christie that he greatly enjoyed. Virgil was laying on the couch, his head in Logan's lap. They two had been dating for a year now but they still found these simple quiet nights to be the best. Logan was running his hand through Virgil's hair gently, stopping only to change the page. Virgil would screenshot things on Tumblr to show Logan at a later date when they weren't enjoying the peace. This was perfect for them, a quiet time to just be together.

Logan read over the page, a scene involving two in a relationship and their passionate exploits. It was nothing graphic, it never was, but it got Logan thinking. A year of dating and they had never gone beyond chaste kisses and hands held gently. This was perfect for Logan as it was what he wanted in a relationship. They had even discussed his preferences, but never Virgil's. What if Virgil came to despise him because he was not fulfilling Virgil's needs?

Realizing he had 'read' a full page without absorbing anything, Logan put the bookmark in his book and closed it, looking down at Virgil. He set the book down, they needed to discuss this for his mind to be at ease.

"Virgil,"

"Yeah, Lo?" they both spoke quietly as if to not disturb the peace of the night.

"Do you ever feel the need to become more intimate in our relationship?" This caused Virgil to put down his phone, looking up at Logan, who had a troubled expression. It was not common for Virgil's more logical and sensible boyfriend to be showing his concerns. He knew this had to be important. "I know we have discussed my preferences, but we have never discussed yours. I do not want to be doing or not doing something in this relationship that will eventually cause a feeling of resentment and uneasiness. I care deeply for you and I don't want to unintentionally cause issues in our relationship."

Virgil sighed, this was not what he had expected. Honestly, he was glad, he had been worried that Logan was second guessing their relationship. "Logan, stop. You are thinking too hard about this. If that were a problem in our relationship I would have already talked to you about it." He smiled at Logan gently. "When I told you I was okay with you being asexual I meant it."

Logan nodded slowly, "If, however, you change your mind on the matter, you will tell me?"

"Yes, I will tell you, but I don't think that will change. I'm never going to ask you to do something you aren't comfortable doing." Virgil looked up into Logan's eyes. He could see the relief coming through in waves. "I love you Logan and that's enough."

Logan nodded, "thank you." He leaned down and gently kissed Virgil, causing the other man to blush.

"Yeah, whatever." He said as he pulled up his hood, turning away from Logan in embarrassment. He wasn't sure why he was embarrassed since no one was around, but he still was, slightly.

Picking up his book, Logan returned to the page he had left off on. He knew he shouldn't doubt his boyfriend, but sometimes he just couldn't help himself. Still, moments like this, with gentle kisses and kind reassurances, satiated his quiet insecurities. He loved Virgil, and Virgil loved him. That was enough.
