Virgil watched as Logan talked about the latest book he had read. Though, oftentimes, Logan could seem unemotional. If you took the time to notice, you would see the way his lip curled just a fraction of a bit when he was happy, you could see the way his eyebrows barely knitted together before springing back to their original place as he showed his excitement. This was one of the many reasons Virgil liked listening to Logan talk. Each small movement of his face showed a vast scope of emotions that Logan wanted to deny he had.
"Sounds like it was fascinating."
"Yes, the characters were well written, though of course, some of the actions seemed a bit forced." Virgil could see the light dusting of red on Logan's face before it quickly faded. He spoke with so much passion about the main character, Virgil wanted nothing more than to be the person Logan was talking about. He wanted to be the reason for these micro-expressions on the nerd's face.
"Logan, aren't you the one telling all of us we need to get the recommended amount of sleep?" Patton called, coming into the common area. "The two of you should head to bed."
Of course, Patton would ruin their moment. Virgil loved Patton like a father, but right now he was pissed. Pulling up his hood he hid it well. "Night you two." Virgil got up and headed towards his room, pulling out his phone to check Tumblr.
Logan was also disappointed, though he would never let it show. He looked over at the fatherly trait. "Patton, I have a query for you."
Patton tilted his head to the side in confusion.
"A question, how does one go about finding out another's opinion on a matter without being direct?"
"That's normally your department, but if you gave me more information, I would be happy to help."
"Maybe when I have properly understood my desires, I will come to you, Patton."
The look of confusion did not leave Patton's face as he nodded, watching Logan go upstairs.
Logan loosened his tie, looking at his phone and pulling up the fanfiction app. He had originally downloaded it out of strange curiosity. He wondered how the fanders perceived each of them. His curiosity had turned into an appreciation for the fanders kindness towards them. Then he found, what was now his favorite, story on the site. He had reread it at least ten times and was ready to read it again tonight. Analogical, that was admittedly a clever name for the relationship between himself and Virgil, but as he had told Virgil, he knew that the actions in this fictional caricature of them were a bit forced. Virgil would never love him in this way. Logan began to read it again.
For a short while, he could pretend this was reality. He could pretend that Virgil would indeed knock on his door to tell him that he loved him, but Logan was logical. This was just a fiction, when he was done with this story, reality would return once again.
AN: Sorry, I know that this really isn't all that good. I just liked the idea, but I had a hard time figuring out how to make it work out.
