Logan was sitting at the kitchen table reading as he listened to Patton cook. The fatherly trait would normally sing or hum as he worked on the day's breakfast and Logan had begun to find it comforting. In fact, he had recently come to the realization that he enjoyed Patton's company far more than the company of any of the others. Emotions were the bane of his existence and he didn't understand how to handle and deal with them; he couldn't help but marvel at Patton's mastery of said topic. Patton was sweet and kind and he almost seemed to understand just what to say to make the other sides feel better. Maybe that was why Logan didn't have any qualms when he let one simple sentence leave his lips.

"Patton, I think I am falling in love with you."

Immediately the humming stopped, the kitchen falling silent other than the hiss of bacon on the stove.

"Y'know, for someone who's whole thing is lying, you aren't very good at it, kiddo." His voice was sweet as he turned to face Logan.

"If you wanted to spend time with me Deceit you didn't need to pretend to be Lo."

Logan wasn't sure what he had been expecting but this certainly wasn't it. Was it so unbelievable for him to have emotions that Patton thought he was Deceit?

"I am not sure what gave you the impression that I am Deceit, but I can assure you that I am not." He put a marker in his book before setting it down, focusing his full attention on Patton.

"It's okay Kiddo, I'm not mad, but Logan would never love me. He is so serious and intelligent, and I'm just silly old Pat." He turned back to the bacon and flipped it. "Besides, Logan represses his emotions, which I don't understand why. That smile is so handsome. I was so happy when Tommy called him cool, because he really is the coolest."

Logan felt a blush running up his cheeks. "Very well, I will be right back." Logan left Patton in the kitchen, the fatherly trait trying his hardest not to cry. He had wanted to hear those words from Logan for so long, it hurt to know that it was just a trick.

Before Patton had all of the food plated, Logan came back into the room, and he was pulling Deceit by the arm. Patton was now thoroughly confused. Deceit looked as if he was still half asleep.

"Kiddo, you look exhausted."

Deceit rolled his eyes. "It's not like I wasn't just kidnapped from my room." Sarcasm dripped from his lips as he rolled his eyes.

"Apologies Deceit but I will make this quick, what were you doing approximately ten minutes ago."

"Sleeping, something I would like to be doing right now." He hissed.

"That is all."

Logan let go of Deceit who immediately sunk out to go back to bed, muttering about how the light sides were weird.

"Patton, I had to assure you that there is no deception taking place when I repeat my statement. I think I am falling in love with you. You are kind and honest, you look at the world with an optimistic perspective that I could never hope to manage. Yes you are Silly, and Yes you are Patton, but neither of these facts deter from how amazing you are."

Patton looked at him surprised, fingers gripped together as he attempted to steady himself. "Are you... do you..." he took a breath, "do you mean it, Logie?"

Logan nodded his head, holding out his hand but Patton opted for giving him a hug, holding him tightly. "I think I am too," Patton whispered.

They stood there for a while until Virgil and Roman began to walk downstairs. There was still much more to talk about, but Logan was satisfied with the outcome.

AN: I saw the comic and I just couldn't not write an actual conversation. I know the original comic is Patton actually talking to Deceit but I just thought this idea was too cute!
