"It's happening to me!" (DeceitxVirgil)

TADA!!!! A one shot in which Deceit is not a jerk!!!

Deceit felt unappreciated. Yes, he knew that three out of the four sides didn't like him, however he didn't expect Thomas to shun him also.

He had popped up because Thomas had in fact suggested lying and while, yes he too had been thinking it was the best option, he wasn't going to ruin their fun.

However, Thomas accidentally summoned him. And when he began to give his input, Roman groaned.

"Just quit it, Jack the Fibber! Can't you see that you and your views are not welcomed here?!" The Prince shouted, making Deceit back up slightly.

Yes, he knew he was a 'bad guy' but only because that's what he was made out to be.

"Deceit, just get out of here!" Thomas said , angrily.

The lying side sighed and popped out of the room.

Virgil felt bad and followed Deceit and went to his room. He pressed his ear against the dark yellow door and heard the quiet sniffles and sobs from the darker side, "Dee? It's me Virgil? Can I come in?"

He heard shuffling and eventually the door opened, Deceit had his hat off, his hair was messy as he had already tugged at his hair ten times and his eyes were red and puffy, with tears down his cheeks, still flowing as his frame shook.

Virgil held out his arms and Deceit threw himself into a hug, crying, staining his black and purple jacket.

The anxious side wrapped his arms around the lying side and rubbed his back, "I'm sorry about them Dee..."

"I-I'm only trying to l-look out for T-T-Thomas!"

"I know Dee."

Dee whimpered, "a-and when nobody listens I-I-"

"You lash out." Virgil finished, kissing Deceits temple.

Deceit blushed, even after months of dating secretly, he still found Virgil's affections sweet and worthy of a blush.

"The same thing that happened to you, is happening to me!" Deceit cried out.

"No, it's not. I won't let it." Virgil said, determinedly.

Deceit hurried his head in the crook of Virgil's neck and took a deep breath, taking in the strong sent of Apple cologne, "I help Thomas... I do..."

"I know you do, trust me."

Deceit sighed and nodded.

It had been a few days now and the sides, besides Deceit sat around the table, the three bright sides laughed and the darker one watched the stairs for any indication of Deceit.

"I really hate Deceit." Logan grumbled into his coffee mug, making Roman nod in agreement.

"Guys, he isn't the best but, ease up on him. Yeah I don't like him much but-"

Virgil stood up abruptly and glared at thee sides, cutting Patton off, "he's important! He's not always the bad guy! The amount of times he's kept secrets for friends and us, the amount of times he has gotten us out of trouble! He helps and protects Thomas in his own way, and while yes, he overdoes it sometimes, so did I! And when you ignore him, he'll lash out, like me!"

"Virgil, you need to calm down." Thomas said, "it's Deceit! What's the worse that could happen?"

Anxiety wanted to rant and scream at them however, he kept a level voice, "Thomas you preach acceptance yet you don't with Deceit and that angers me."

"Logan, you talk about why each of us is important so I'm surprised and horrified you have yet to see Dee as apart of this group."

"Roman you are a Prince. You are supposed to protect people not become someone's enemy because they're helping in their way."

He looked around and saw the horrified faces and faces of realisation and devastation.

Then it was Patton, small little Patton, "Patton I'm not angry nor am I upset with you. I'm disappointed in you."

Patton's face fell into despair, "I was much like Deceit when I came and I was treated the same as he was, however you was there for me... Why aren't you there for him?"

Patton teared up as Virgil followed Deceit.

Deceit was sat in his room, in a vest and shorts, he didn't like feeling so small and so insignificant, he vigorously rubbed his eyes and trying to stop himself from crying.

"Dee?" Said Virgil, knocking on the yellow door, "can I come in?"

Deceit threw open the door and there was Virgil, worry evident in his warm brown eyes, "I love them!" Cried the lying side, throwing himself into Virgil's arms.

Anxiety held him close and rested his chin upon his head, "no you don't."

"I do!" Shouted Deceit, tears staining Virgil's jacket.

The anxious side took Deceit into his room and sat him down. He took off his jacket and wrapped it around him.

"I hate you."

Virgil smiled, "I love you too."

Virgil spent hours in Deceit's room, ignoring all the affects the room had on him.

"I might duck out." Sighed Deceit, nuzzling his head into Virgil's neck.

"Do is." Lied Virgil.

Deceit sat up, "they love me."

Virgil took his hand gently, "they don't. But I don't need you. Patton isn't regretting what he said."

Deceit glanced up and his eyes widened and saw scales appearing on the side of his face, "we need to get you out." Deceit didn't lie, he pulled up his boyfriend and popped up in Virgil's usual spot.

The three sides and Thomas had yet to move, as they had been discussing about Deceit. Patton looked up, "Virgil!"

Logan rushed over and checked the scales, "what happened?"

"He was in my room!" Deceit ran hand threw his hair, nobody had been in his room, not for that long.

"For how long?!" Asked Patton, in a frenzy.

"A few hours!" Deceit felt so guilty, even though they knew he was technically fine.

"Hours?!" Asked Roman in shock.

Virgil had already calmed down and rolled his eyes, "you guys panic too much."

Deceit couldn't be bothered waiting, all he knew was that his Virgil was alright, he grabbed Virgil's collar and pulled him into a kiss.

Virgil smiled and kissed back, his arms wrapping around his neck, pulling him closer, completely forgetting about the sides around him.

"WHAT?!" Screeched Roman, watching as the two dark sides sunk down into who knows room.

"What just happened?!" The Prince screeched again, and kept screeching when he was met with shocked expressions.

Virgil looked down as Deceit, "I won't let it happen to you..."

"Thank you..."
