Song : The Cigarette Duet by Princess Chelsea.
Human AU!
That's just a bad drawing above, ignore it.
Warning: Abuse, two major character deaths, suicide, pain killers and cigarettes.
If you are being abused, you can tell someone. Anyone, police, family and they will do something. If you're feeling suicidal, please get help, I promise you someone out there wants you alive. I want you alive. If you smoke, please try and get out of that habit, as it's bad and you could die as well. All of this is serious, yes I mixed it with a song, but that song fits with this.
If you want to proceed, I hope you enjoy. If not, I understand, and a new chapter should be up tomorrow. Hopefully.
Virgil felt so bad. He hadn't believed his friend, Thomas. Now he was dead. He doesn't want to go into detail about it, but it's all thanks to the boyfriend of his!
Thomas has told them that his boyfriend was abusing him and only Patton believed him, even now though Roman and Virgil was still a bit skeptical, Virgil the most.
He entered a relationship with Dee, it was amazing! They'd kiss and cuddle and then, he burnt some toast, some simple toast. But it was fine!
Then Virgil talked to Roman, that was less then ok. He was told to stay away from his former friends and when he argued, he was met with a harsh punch.
At least it was just a slap until that point.
Virgil feel to the floor from the force.
"What did you say to me?!" Snarled Dee.
Virgil coward, "I won't see them!" He said loudly.
"Good." Dee walked off.
Slowly getting up, Virgil went through his breathing exercises.
And that's why Virgil felt so bad, for nearly a year now he'd been think about Thomas abuser while dealing with his own, now fully believing him.
He managed to sneak out a few times to see Roman, who he kept this a secret from. I mean, why would he believe Virgil, when he didn't with Thomas?
It was summer and Virgil met up with Roman, who was doing something he never saw before, smoking.
"Uhhh... you smoking?"
Roman sighed, "it helps deal with the loss of Thomas..."
Virgil perked up at that, maybe he too could get over Thomas and maybe, the cigarette would help him ignore Dee.
So he tried one and stayed out with Roman until late and snuck home.
Dee smelt the smoke at dinner, "Virgil?"
"Y-Yes Dee?"
"Why do you smell of smoke?"
Virgil shook slightly, "I had a cigarette today."
Dee shook his head, "Virgil. Come upstairs." He stood up holding out his hand.
Virgil got to his feet and took off his belt, handing it over and walked upstairs followed by Dee.
Patton had asked Dee if he and Virgil wanted to come swimming and Dee had to say yes because he had said no to many times.
Logan, Patton and Roman greeted the purple man happily, who forced a smile and hugged them, just needing some forms of comfort.
Everyone got in the pool, with Virgil hiding most of his body.
Dee glared at Virgil, still angry about the smoke yesterday.
"It's just a cigarette and it cannot be that bad." Virgil sang, quietly and staring at nothing.
"Honey, don't you love me and you know it makes me sad?" Dee said, as if nothing was wrong.
"It's just a cigarette like you always used to do." Virgil defended.
"I was different then, I don't need them to be cool." Deceit glared.
Virgil sighed and swam off to his friends, "guys?"
They looked up and waved and hugged him, besides Logan who shook his hand.
"Can we talk about Thomas...?"
Patton grew serious, "yes."
Logan and Roman was clearly uncomfortable as Virgil said, "what if he was abused."
"I think he was." Patton said as Logan and Roman said, "no, he wasn't."
Virgil frowned, "Dee found out about the cigarette."
Roman rolled his eyes, "well it's your life. Not his."
"I know but well-"
"It's just a cigarette and it harms your pretty lungs." Dee sang, caressing Virgil's cheek.
"Well, it's only twice a week so there's not much of a chance." Virgil sang back.
"It's just a cigarette it'll soon be only ten." Deceit was beginning to get angry, Virgil quickly jumped in.
"Honey, can't you trust me? When I want to stop, I can."
That seemed to satisfy him as he left, making Virgil visibly relax, "Ro, you got anymore?"
"Yeah."
He and Virgil got out and handed a cigarette over to Virgil and left him to smoke, trying to forget the pain of Thomas, he didn't even care about himself.
"It's just a cigarette and it's just a Marlboro Light." Virgil sang, when Dee walked over.
"Maybe but is it worth it if we fight?" Dee glared.
"It's just a cigarette that I got from him, Uh Princey." Virgil stuttered.
"Oh, he's gonna get a smack, and I'm gonna give you three." He snarled and grabbed his wrist.
The friends went home that night and Virgil locked himself in his room, the words of him and Dee playing throughout his head.
'It's just a cigarette and I only did it once.' Virgil got up.
'It's just a cigarette it'll soon be only ten.' Virgil opened the bathroom cabinet.
'It's only twice a week so there's not much of a chance.' Virgil grabbed the painkillers.
'It'll make you sick boy there's not much of a chance.' He popped the lid and his hands shook.
'It's just a cigarette and I'm sorry that I did it.' He had apologised but he didn't mean it.
'It's just a cigarette you'll be sorry that you did it.'
'Honey, can't you trust me? When I want to stop, I can.'
Roman went to Dees house and knocked on the door, but there was no answer, however he door slowly opened as if it wasn't locked.
Roman went upstairs, "Virge? Dee?" He called, he tried all the doors and nothing, until he opened the bathroom door and screamed.
"La la la la la la la la."
