Hiking Trip [Platonic Logic X Creativity X Deceit]
Trigger warning: none
Pairing: Platonic Logic X Creativity X Deceit (there's gonna be some romantic pairings, too, but they're not the main focus of the story)
Category: Comedy (I don't really know, actually. I just hope it's funny)

Ah, nature. It's such a beautiful thing. It can be calm, surrounding you with subtle sounds of leaves rustling, flowers falling down from trees as though it was showering you with soft petals, light rain bringing coolness to a hot, sunny day. Or, it could cause destruction with electric lightning that struck the ground, causing a bone-rattling vibration. It could drench the Earth with heavy floods and the wild waves of the ocean could cause destruction. Mother nature has never been predictable.
Logan liked nature. He was mesmerized by its beauty and he was fascinated by its violence. He had always wanted to go somewhere with his friends and just enjoy nature together. They would have a quiet moment, enjoying each other's companies and just exist with nature simultaneously. So, he suggested the idea of a hiking trip to his friends.
"Would anyone be opposed to the idea of a hiking trip?" Logan asked one weekend. The group had come over to Patton's place, just like they usually do on weekends. "I thought, we could have a nice weekend away from the city. A change of view, or something like that."
"Das' nice, actually." Darren answered, putting his phone down to take a cookie Patton baked earlier.
"Do I have to go?" Remy, who was lying down with his head on Darren's chest, complained.
"Oh yes! We should all go! And then we can have fun together! Maybe, maybe we could set up a camp, too. It's gonna be so fun." Patton said excitedly, almost shouting, ignoring Remy's reluctance.
Logan looked over to Roman and Virgil who were sitting on the floor with their backs against the couch. They were occupied with each other, watching something on Roman's phone. Logan cleared his throat to get their attention. "What do you two think?"
"I don't mind. Sounds fun," Roman said, looking back at the phone after giving Logan a brief glance.
"I'm gonna burn in the sun, but I'm good. I just wish I didn't have to go." Virgil responded monotonously.
"Aw, come on, kiddo! It's not a bad idea, y'know." Patton persuaded. Virgil sighed, knowing that Patton would always win, so there was no point in arguing.
----------
A week after their "meeting" at Patton's place, the group was finally ready to go on their hiking journey. They got into Roman's car and drove away. The trip wasn't too long, only four hours long. Roman drove and Logan sat on the passenger seat with Patton behind him. Darren sat behind the driver's seat with Remy next to him. Virgil sat alone on the backseat, because he preferred to be alone, "this way, the whole space is mine," he had declared before their departure.
During the drive, Roman, Logan and Darren had been arguing about random topics. First, they argued about theater. Logan had no interest in theater at all, while Roman and Darren did. The logical man said that theater was a complete waste of time, because they could have just made a movie instead of prancing around on a stage. He could tolerate classical plays, such as Shakespeare or Goethe, but he didn't understand the point of musical theaters. Roman and Darren were outraged.
"Musicals, are the best kind of theater!" Roman said boisterously, waving a hand in front of Logan's face.
"Hell yeah! You tell him, Roman!" Darren said, just as passionately. "You know how much effort you need to have for a musical theater? It's more than just acting!"
"Yes, you do need more skills for that, but my question is: is it necessary to have—"
"Yes!" Roman and Darren said at the same time. Roman, fortunately, still kept his eyes on the road while driving. "Stories could be told in so many different ways through music and the acting part only helps deliver the messages and stories better."
"You want to deliver a message? Write a damn book!" Logan said, throwing his head back. "I would say, words gives moral and advisal messages better than acting or music or all that nonsense you were talking about."
"It's not nonsense—" Darren was interrupted.
"Yes, it is. It's a waste of—"
"No! Musical theater is like a form of magic! Magic, you heard me?" Roman shouted with bursting passion.
They were arguing so loudly and vividly that Virgil who was in the backseat with his headphones on could hear them. He sat up from his laid position and asked Remy and Patton about what was happening. "It's theater," Remy answered him, amused. "Guys! Calm the ef down. Roman, don't speed, you're gonna fling us to hell." He then wrapped his arms around Darren and buried his face on his boyfriend's chest.
----------
After a few hours in the car, they finally arrived in their destination. It was at the foot of a tall hill with tall pine trees in the surrounding areas. There was a small dirt path that they were supposed to follow. Apparently, Logan had been told by his uncle about the place and was interested to investigate it himself. The hike wasn't supposed to be hard, but it was long, about eight miles or twelve kilometers. Patton, Roman and Logan were excited, while the other three looked like they would rather die. After half an hour of preparations, they started.
three hours into the hike, they reached a flat part of the path. They won't go uphill again until later on in the path. Virgil, Patton and Remy chose to go slow, preferring to stay in the back. Roman, Logan and Darren went ahead, leaving them behind. The three childishly raced each other through the terrains, betting on who will get to the top first. After an hour of the race, they started to slow down due to exhaustion. After a few moments, the path led out of the pine forest into an open landing in the middle of the hill. The path still continues uphill, but they chose to stop for a little bit of a rest.
It was beautiful. The forest behind them gave a cool shade against the scorching sun. They could see the city in the distance. The rustles of leaves and chirping of birds gave a calming atmosphere. The surrounding hills and the mountains in the distance looked as though it was walling the valley below. There was a lake, too, somewhere in the distance, a ways away from the city. It reflected the sunlight, shimmering like a glittering mirror. It really was a wonderful sight.
"Geez, look at this! Mother nature is such a wonder." Roman, who was still energetic, said in his trademark booming voice.
"Mother nature's a big bitch!" Darren retorted, panting a little from their hike, sweat drenching his forehead. Roman gave him a weird look.
"Mother nature wants you to shut the fuck up." Logan deadpanned as he walked past the other two. He threw them a smirk when he saw Darren was about to complain, but didn't, because he was still out of breath.
"Logan, you're a little shit!" Darren finally shouted, making him become more out of breath. He could faintly hear Roman laughing in the background, but he was a little too light-headed to care.
"If only Patton knew." Roman added, earning a glare from Logan.
They waited there until the other three caught up with them. Patton insisted that they have a short picnic before continuing their hike. He had prepared an assortment of fruits and other things, too, which he made by himself. "Logan made the pie," he told the group, making Roman and Darren whistle sarcastically.
"Wow, mom! You made us a pie?" Darren said, pointing at the pie and placing his other hand over his heart dramatically.
"What a great mother! I bet it tastes like magic!" Roman added sarcastically.
Logan rolled his eyes and the others laughed. He let out a small huff of amusement and continued eating. Logan used to be a loner. The only person he knew before he had his friends was Darren. They were alike in many ways, preferring to be quiet and stay hidden in the crowd. Then, they met a big mess that is Roman. The three became unlikely friends, an odd group of friends, but they didn't mind their differences. The three had been friends for about six years before they finally met Patton, and then Virgil. Remy was the newest addition to the group. He was invited by Patton when he noticed Darren's interest in Remy. And now, two years later, here they were having a picnic as a group on a hill.
Afterwards, they packed their stuff and continued their hike. It went to be uneventful. Roman, Logan and Darren continued their race. Roman had given the other two the bird when he reached the top first. Logan came a couple seconds after. Darren was the last, cursing when he finally caught up to the other two. When everyone else came, they set up a camp and enjoyed the rest of the weekend there.
"This is great," Patton whispered to Virgil and Remy who nodded in agreement as they watched their boyfriends argue again like they did in the car. Remy, for once, was alright with being quiet and just enjoy the moment.

Hey y'all, thanks for reading. I don't know where this came from. Last night, I thought it would be great to see Logic, Creativity and Deceit as friends. So, I wrote this. I don't really know if it's good or not, but I'll put it here anyway.
Hope you liked that!
