"Well, that's tragic," Anxiety stated blandly. He stared at Prince, who was rolling around on his king-sized bed, and groaning.

"I'm sorry, but everything hurts!" Prince whined, sitting up to glare at Anxiety.

Anxiety scoffed. "Your ego is bruised, you failed your job, you can never show your face again, I know, you told me, now shut up." Needless to say, the royal had been complaining about Thomas' recent audition for a while now, and the others, especially Anxiety, who heard the worst of it, were getting sick of it.

"You're not helping!" Roman huffed childishly, crossing his arms.

The darker side just shrugged. "I'm not exactly known for helping." He sighed. "What do you want me to say? That in the end it won't matter? Because it won't."

"Nope, not listening to your existential rants today!" Prince declared. "If you're not going to help, then leave me to die here."

"Fine. If it's really bothering you that much, then here's the truth. It doesn't matter. Not because nothing will eventually – which is true, but I digress – but because Thomas will have other auditions. This most likely isn't the end for either of you, as much as I hate to say it."

Prince gaped. "Huh..." He paused for a moment. "I suppose you can be positive."

"Not positive," Anxiety grumbled, "just realistic." He looked away, hoping Prince would drop it.

No such luck. "Aww," Prince teased, "you care about me!"

"Keep that up and I'm leaving this room and sending Logan to deal with you," Anxiety threatened. Much to his amusement, Roman shut up immediately.
