Prince curled up on the couch, holding a pillow to his chest as tightly as possibly, rubbing his eyes. The others were sprawled across the room – Anxiety at the other end of the couch, Morality lying in his blanket fort on the floor and Logic sitting on a chair, reading a book.

"Roman, don't tell me you're crying again," Logan sighed, pinching the bridge of his nose and pausing the movie. He was the only one any of them trusted with the remote.

Anxiety and Morality looked up instantaneously to stare at Prince, but then the former ducked his head in favour of hiding underneath the many blankets he had surrounding him.

"No," Prince sniffled. He was met with arched eyebrows and a scoff coming from Anxiety's direction. "Alright, maybe. But I just can't help it! It's so sad! Riley lost her hope and is running away because she wants everything to go back to normal! How can you all be so heartless?"

Logic rolled his eyes and went back to his book.

Morality shrugged. "I gotta admit, the first five times we watched this movie together, I did shed a few tears," he started, "but Prince, you begin to get used to it!" The dad guy reached up and patted Roman's knee consolingly.

"Whatever. And I suppose Mr. I Have No Feelings will agree with you apathetic morons too?" Prince huffed, turning to Anxiety.

Or, at least, the bundle of blankets covering him.

Morality and Prince looked at each, confused. Was the other asleep already? Surely not, because he had been awake and making sarcastic comments on the movie's plot a few minutes ago. Not to mention saying "same" every time he saw Sadness on screen.

'Only one way to find out,' Prince thought, reaching for the pile. He yanked the coverings away, ignoring Anxiety's shriek of "no!"

"What are you doing under there, Anx-"

He didn't finish his sentence. For there, sniffling and furiously scrubbing away the tears that just kept falling, was Anxiety. The guy that had originally denied seeing Inside Out every other time he had been invited because he had "seen it once and why would he ever want to watch that kids' cartoon ever again?"

"Are you... crying?" Prince whispered incredulously.

"Don't be daft," Anxiety snapped, but the effect was ruined by his voice crack.

Logic's head popped up from his book as he set it aside, finally deciding that something far more interesting was happening. Morality sat on his heels, mouth open in shock. Anxiety was trying to hide his face as best he could without anything to do it with. Prince was the first to unfreeze.

Loud, breathless giggles tore from his mouth as his friend scowled.

"Stop laughing at me!" the darker side fumed, cheeks aflame as he made to get up, probably to escape the embarrassing situation.

Prince grabbed his arm and pulled him back down to the couch, closer to him than he was before. "Aw, don't worry, I think you're adorable! I wouldn't have pegged you for the crying-type, though," he cooed, much to Anxiety's further annoyance.

"He's blushing!" Morality squealed, suddenly lunging forward and giving the other a hug. Anxiety tensed, but then relaxed and awkwardly pat him on the back. Roman smiled before quickly joining in.

Logan allowed himself a small grin as he watched them all, and didn't ruin the moment by mentioning how much Anxiety seemed to be enjoying the physical contact.
