physical speed is mental speed

Props to BBCanimefangirl for the prompt!

Logan didn't want to admit it to anyone. He was faster than all of them, with ease. He also had better balance than a cat and he had perfect reflexes. On more than one occasion he had caught Patton's glasses as they flew off of his face and had to fake fumbling to throw off suspicion when it came to his perfect catch. He refused to play sports with Roman as his speed and accuracy meant he would win with ease and expose himself. Logan didn't challenge the others or accept their challenges when it came to speed or balance, knowing he would win whatever challenges they placed in front of him. It appeared that the others would never find out.

"Oh gosh darn! Roman! Where did you put the flour?!" Patton sounded slightly exasperated, then again, normally Logan was around to help him keep things under control. Currently Logan was taking a break, a day to himself to enjoy the forest. When Roman knocked the bottle he didn't panic, until he realised it was the bottle containing a chemical that became a gas at room temperature and caused those who inhaled it to forget everything. Logan would flip, if he even could, when he got back. Roman reached for the bottle but just as he did, a blur passed and the bottle was gone. Logan stood, across the room, the bottle in hand, his chest heaving, sweat clicking his forehead and a slightly panicked look on his face. Roman stared, shocked and with nothing to say. Logan looked down at the bottle in his hand and turned on the Prince, fuelled with rage that was foreign in his usually calm eyes

"Roman, do you have any idea what this could have done?!  You could have destroyed everyone, including Thomas you complete dolt! This could make you fade! This could make all of us fade you complete imbecile!"
"I thought you weren't here-"
"What does it matter where I was? You could have destroyed yourself, not only you, but Patton and Virgil too! Then me and Thomas would have no personality, do you know what would happen then?! He would be brain dead! He would have been lucky to live, if it could be called that, you dunce!"
"Virgil! Don't talk to Roman like that!" Patton barged in, having only paid attention to the insults thrown at the royal. His face dropped to one matching Roman's when he saw it was Logan, not Virgil, insulting Roman
"How did you get-"
"Patton, I appreciate the input, however, Roman could have killed us all"
"You were a solid half a mile away..."
"Oh." Logan realised what they meant with their shock. He looked from one to the other and felt fear rising in his chest.

"I-I can explain! I never really... left?"
"The truth, Logan. Now." The demand came from Virgil, who had just walked down the stairs to see this chaos unfold.

"Fine, I can move... incredibly fast. I believe the fastest I can go is above the speed of sound, I have broken the sound barrier once before."
"Cool, now how did you catch it?"
"Reflexes, this is why I refused to play sports, because I would have to try incredibly hard to keep my abilities under control."
"So you basically have super powers and you didn't tell us?"
"I figured you might be jealous, or afraid of me..."
"Well I think it's pretty darn cool! What else can you do?"
"I can balance on unstable and thin wires."
"What?! I thought I had the most cat ability"
"Well you do exceed my capabilities in all other facets so you do win those points."
"Great, so you're basically a super hero and you're not going to use these powers?"
"Well, my powers have effects. If I constantly used my speed I would not only be exhausted but time would pass uniquely for me, causing my age to vary from yours. If I constantly used my balance I might throw it slightly and loose the ability. If I constantly used my reflexes, you wouldn't be able to keep up with me."
"Huh, shame. Well are you gonna prove your other ability, we've seen the speed and reflexes, I want to see you balance on something stupidly unstable." Logan sighed and conjured two poles, placing them a short distance apart, he wound a single piece of thread around the poles, creating a less dramatic tightrope. He stood at one end and jumped on, holding his arms slightly up, he walked quickly and calmly towards the other end. Once he reached the other end he jumped off and did a little mock bow before grabbing his "equipment" and putting it to one side. The others were staring at him and he blushed a little, the idea of being watched unsettling him. They all sat down and discussed Logan's abilities until Patton wanted to watch a movie. They watched the Incredibles and Virgil pointed out Logan's likeness to dash throughout the entire movie.

"But you're both super fast"
"Violet has higher precision"
"Nope, you're like Dash"
"Elastagirl has more capability in balance"
"Dash has super speed"
"Mr Incredible has greater reflexes"
"Oh my goodness, watch the movie! You have super powers, you're like all of them!"

That wasn't the end of the argument, it never would have been.
