It was just a bad dream - part 2

(FYI in this one Cillian plays the role of PTSD instead of the call of the void, he might change to be trauma instead of the call of the void soon though so be prepared for that)

Logan searched everywhere in the mindscape; the imagination, Virgil's room, Patton's room, the kitchen, the library, the observatory, everywhere. He decided to check his own room and saw a figure huddled on the ground, dark brown swirls of cloud surrounding him. Logan approached tentatively, arm outstretched to the person.

"E-excuse me, are you alright?"
"L-Logan? What? I-I... how did I end up here?"
"I don't know, would you like me to comfort you?"
"P-please, yes please?"
"Okay... will you tell me your name?"
"C-Cillian. I'm Cillian."
"Okay, Cillian. Do you know where you are?"
"Y-your room."
"Good, can you tell me what you are?"
"I-I think I'm d-death or something"
"Okay... why?"
"I'm- I hear voices, telling me to..."
"Okay, can you stand? I need to take you to Damien."
"S-sure" the small figure stuttered, rising shakily and clinging to Logan. Logan helped him out of his room and into the commons. Upon sight of Deceit, Cillian shook so much he couldn't stand and collapsed, pushing himself back against the wall and crying. Deceit growled. Logan didn't know what to do so, in a reckless act of something he didn't understand, he stood between the two, fire burning in his eyes. All he knew is that Deceit was prone to stopping anyone that got in his way.

Back on the sofa, Virgil was waking up, rubbing his eyes gently. He saw Deceit glowering at Logan, who scowled right back. Both of them looked ready for a fight. Roman coughed next to him. Virgil grabbed Roman's shoulder  and rummaged in his pocket for a small vial. He poured the liquid down Roman's throat and he shivered, eyes losing the wild paranoia and being replaced with confusion. Virgil silently pointed to the scene on the other side of the living room. Roman dived for Deceit as he dived for Logan. Both men tumbled onto the floor and Roman kicked Deceit off of him before they were fighting. The figure Logan was protecting hid in his jacket. Virgil approached tentatively, one hand outstretched towards the cowering man.

"C-Cillian? That's your name, right? Cillian, I need you to breathe, okay? I need you to copy my breathing, in for four seconds, hold for seven, out for eight, can you do that?" He asked, sitting in front of Cillian. Virgil motioned Logan to go to Patton.

"Give him this" he whispered as he held out a vial of a different size and colour to the one he gave Roman. Logan took it and poured the liquid into Patton's throat. Patton swallowed harshly and fell forward onto Logan.

Roman had managed to pin Deceit to the floor, knees digging into his hips and hands pinning his arms to the side of his head. Deceit kicked and squirmed but Roman was unsurprisingly strong and didn't struggle to keep Deceit pinned to the floor.

Virgil had managed to calm Cillian down to the point where he could see that Deceit could no longer harm him. Cillian jumped into Virgil's arms, shaking and thanking Virgil repeatedly. Virgil sat back and comforted the side in his lap.

Logan let Patton lay slumped on his chest. The emotional facet grabbed at Logan's shirt weakly. He whimpered and buried his head in the crook of Logan's neck. Logan  rubbed small circles into Patton's shoulder blades and whispered words of comfort to him.

"What was the idea, Deceit? What were you planning, snake face?"
"I'll tell you."
"Just talk, scales."
"That's happening"
"The hat, Roman." Virgil held out a hand and Roman passed Virgil the hat. Virgil reached into it and looked to Cillian. "Can you get me a lighter?" Virgil asked tentatively. Cillian responded with a nod and left, returning with a lighter. Virgil pulled out a picture from the hat. Deceit whimpered, tears in his eyes. The lighter clicked as it flicked on, and Deceit's reserve snapped.

"I won't talk! I won't just please! Please destroy that picture!" Deceit pleaded. Virgil smirked.
"Better start talking then, scales."
" I-I didn't want to gain control. Thomas wouldn't lose himself to the nightmare, which wouldn't allow me to take over. I didn't do it to protect you Virgil! They're honest, they love you!" Deceit's voice wavered. Virgil laughed, he burst into laughter.

"Dee, you idiot! I know they do, come here, scales!" Virgil wrapped an arm around Deceit and kissed him. Roman watched in horror, the man who had done so much to hurt them all, was in love with his Virgil.

Then he woke up. Sobbing, bawling, breaking down in his place in the bed. Virgil woke up next to him, quickly pulling Roman into his arms.

"Shh, it's okay Ro. It's okay. I burned it, it's gone, it was all just a bad dream."
