Elemental mishap (LAMP)

"Fire, air, water and earth bender, who would get what element?" The question seemed harmless enough but there was a subtle panic in everyone's eyes. Except Thomas. Now what Thomas didn't quite know is that each of the sides did actually have control over one of these elements. They all looked at each other, trying to gain reassurance. Logan was first to nod, indicating to the Prince diagonal from him who spoke up.

"Fire"
"Because of your fiery passion." Patton interjected, calming down everyone a little as Logan claimed his element next

"Earth"
"Because you're so grounded"
"Water"
"Because you're so deep and mysterious."
"And you're a wet blanket" Logan and Virgil threw Roman a look at the comment before turning to the parental trait.

"And I would bend air" Logan didn't want to make the following comment but he was the most prone to making dad jokes aside from the person across from him.

"Because you're an airhead" Logan's breath was baited as he waited for a response.

"Now I know you meant to hurt my feelings, but I am just so darn proud that you made a dad joke!"
"Oh shi-" Logan slapped a hand over his own mouth before he could finish the curse, that still felt foreign to everyone, on his tongue. The rest of the video passed without much more to worry about.

Logan had his head in his hands when Patton entered the commons. Virgil was comforting him, putting a hand between his shoulder blades and seemingly focusing his energy on sending his magic through the teacher, who's shoulders went slack. He tipped forwards and Virgil caught him, gently laying him on the sofa.

"What happened?" Patton said, making his presence known with a hand on the other conscious trait's shoulder.

"He was panicking, I couldn't get him to respond so I had to use my magic. I knocked him out. He's back to normal now but he may have a bit of a headache. Speaking of, that drained me a little, I'm gonna get a drink."
"Rest, I'll get you one" Patton said, pushing Virgil into his armchair. Virgil laughed as Patton skipped into the kitchen and came back out with a glass of water. Virgil accepted it and drained the glass in under a minute.

Patton was sat at the end of the sofa, resting his head in one hand as he played with Logan's hair with the other. Logan sighed and picked his head up slightly, placing it in Patton's lap. Patton would have wagged his tail if he had one. Virgil smirked and sat in front of them on the floor, drawing small patterns on Logan's hand. Logan grabbed the other's hand in his sleep, muttering something neither of them could pick up.

Roman strutted into the room and looked at the three, slightly offended that no one had paid attention to him until he saw what they were doing. He squeaked and rushed over, leaning over the back of the sofa and placing a gentle hand on Logan's hip, drawing small circles with his thumb. Logan began to regain consciousness a few minutes later but didn't let it show because if he did, the feeling of the others all giving him this attention would fade because it had to all be a dream. Virgil smiled as he looked at Logan, the side's features were slack, relaxed and he looked peaceful at last.

Virgil felt his own eyelids begin to drop and he leaned forwards, resting his head against the sofa in front of Logan's chest. Logan felt this movement and opened one eye just enough to see the beige of Patton's trousers and the top of Virgil's head. He smirked lightly and brought his free hand up to Virgil's hair, carding his fingers through it and smiling even more as the younger trait sighed into his chest. Patton smiled, ducking his head to whisper in Logan's ear
"I know you're awake Lo"
"And?" Logan muttered back, opening his eyes and staring up at the trait above him.
"Go back to sleep, I don't want to have to use my magic and Virgil's asleep so I couldn't ask him"
"You use your magic to help you make toast, Patton"
"And I'm enjoying doing things manually right now. So go back to sleep"
"If you're sure" Logan's reply would have been longer if he weren't cut off by a yawn. He put his head back down and cuddled into the embrace, not knowing the sound of his breathing was putting the others to sleep. Roman tapped Patton's shoulder.

"As comfortable as it is here, we should get these two to a bed."
"But they're warm and happy here..."
"Come on, I'll carry Logan, you carry Virgil, we'll take them to my room. I'm sure my bed is big enough for the four of us."
"Okay... if they wake up I'm blaming you"
"Seems fair enough" Roman said, scooping Logan up and heading off to his room. Patton picked Virgil off of the floor and smiled when he cuddled closer, the faint navy blue glow from his magic shining under his closed eyelids. Patton laid him on the bed and pulled his hoodie off. Virgil shivered so Patton laid next to him and kissed the back of his neck before pushing himself up to kiss Logan as well. Roman entered a couple of minutes later, the only one of the four in pyjamas. He couldn't blame them. Roman pressed chaste kisses to all of their foreheads before laying down behind Logan, smiling a little when the normally stoic and cold teacher nestled into his chest, causing a chain reaction of movement as Virgil cuddled closer to Logan, then Patton to Virgil, leaving Roman close enough to be able to place another kiss to all of them before falling asleep himself.

That was cuter than expected. Oh well, cute is good. Holy guacamole are you guys awesome though, I owe you all a bunch more than you might think. I've been feeling low lately and now I'm pretty good. Thanks again and I'll see you in the next chapter
