Roman, You're an Asshole but You Were Stressed So We Forgive You

A/n: Almost decided not to write today just because of how busy I was but i'm rewatching rottmnt so why not half write half pay attention. What better way to relax than to write a pissfic?

This one is for little_pupcup thank you so much for requesting! 😄😄😄

Roman couldn't believe his eyes. He had to be dreaming. He pinched himself and gasped. He wasn't dreaming, it was real! He had gotten the lead role in the play! He hugged the letter close to his chest and jumped up and down, squealing quietly, not wanting to wake his brother up.

This was huge! He had given that audition his all, and was worried that it wouldn't be good enough, but it was! It was, it was, it was! This wasn't his usual school play either, where he was a hundred times better than all the other students(not to brag, though...okay, YES, he was bragging but he felt like it was deserved!) this wasn't even a community theatre, this was a big one!

This was a lead role, he felt the need to emphasize to himself. A lead—he just couldn't get over it, no matter how many times he brought it up in his head.

He gasped aloud, he had to tell his friends!

A smile crept up on his face. Or did he? What if he surprised them instead? That sounded like a thousand times more fun, they'd be so shocked, and so, so, so proud of him!

He kept the letter in a drawer in his bedroom's desk and pumped a fist in the air. Oh, he had to start planning—this was going to be perfect!

————————————————————

Everything was going smoothly—very, very smoothly, in fact, for the first week. Roman was able to keep his mouth shut, but everyone in the group noticed a change in his demeanor. He seemed pumped—and not just his usual dramaticness, no, this was like—Patton levels of energy, he was practically bouncing off all of the walls.

Everybody could tell that he was excited. Very, very excited about something, and they all liked how happy he was. But after that, he began to make a few...mistakes.

All of the secrets and hiding, proved to be a lot more difficult, a lot more stressful, than he had initially thought. It was extremely difficult to practice his lines and choreography if he had to keep quiet.

It would be a thousand times easier if he had told them, so then maybe he could get them to help him practice or something—but no. He couldn't do that, because he was dedicated to this surprise. And that lead to some major problems.

It started with him snapping at Pattton. Which, literally everybody was mad at him for. Everybody knew that Patton was very bubbly, very energetic, and loved to talk. Which was why he was Roman's first victim.

He hadn't meant to be so harsh, it was just the stress getting to him, and he needed an outlet.

"Patton, will you just go away?!" He snapped after the other had asked him one too many questions, "you are just so unbearably annoying! Shut the fuck up for once, will you?!"

And before Roman could even think about what he had said, he felt a stinging sensation on his face. He brought a hand to his cheek, and snapped his head up. He was met with the face that he both least and most expected.

"Watch your mouth" Virgil growled, his voice low and angry, "if I ever hear you speak to him that way again, i'll probably go to prison."

Patton was trembling from behind Virgil, and when the emo turned around, he expected to be scolded for threatening and hitting, but he was met with Patton's sobbing face in his chest instead. He relaxed and patted Patton's hair.

They left Roman alone. Yelling and cursing had been a hood stress reliever, but he felt extremely guilty for what he had said to Patton.

It wasn't half as bad as what he'd said to Janus though, which still wasn't as bad as what he'a said to Remus, because eventually, instead of just snapping, he got personal.

He started ranting about how everybody lived and acted, calling Remus a disgusting slob, telling Janus that all he was good for is deception and lies, and told Logan that he'd never be anything more than his brain, and that nobody would ever think of him as anything other than a smart know it all.

Eventually, Roman began to snap at Virgil. Which was a mistake, because Virgil was always able to throw it back ten tomes worse. Still, it wasn't anything major, in fact, it was on par with most of their regular arguments. Short, meaningless jabs at him, followed by a retort from the other.

Admittedly, he had taken things...a tad too far.

"Yeah, I have an ego! So what?! At least i'm not so insecure that I tried to kill myself!" He shouted.

The room fell silent. Patton, who was in between them with his arms out, immediately dropped them to his sides and turned to stare at Roman in shock, and then anger.

Remus had grabbed Roman's shoulder from behind and spun him around, meeting him face to face, "what the hell is wrong with you?!" he growled, shooting him an icy glare. Logan had a similar look on his face.

Roman seemed more shocked than anyone though, two hands clasped tightly over his mouth. Why had he said that?

"Virgil, I am so sorry" Roman said, turning around again, ignoring Remus and looking at the other.

But Virgil, who was far too used to it at this point, just rolled his eyes, "it's fine, douche bag just relax, okay?" He said dryly.

Oh. Well, surprisingly, Virgil seemed to be the least affected out of everyone in the room by his comment.

"Are—I—what?" Roman stammered, guilt clear on his face, "you're not..upset?"

"Nope" he deadpanned, popping the p,  wishing that Roman would just stop being such a jerk to everyone. But he was clearly going through some type of phase, and chose to ignore the comments.

Which, eventually, is what everybody started to do.

————————————————————

When Roman began slipping, he probably should have realized that he needed to make some changes to avoid so much stress, but this was just making him even more stressed, so he wasn't really thinking.

It scared the heck out of him when he woke up little one day. Once he had looked it up and realized the problem, it only got worse, especially since he kind of liked it. Slipping gave him an outlet, and it took some stress away. It caused him a whole lot more stress too, because now he just had another thing to hide, and with all this stress, he couldn't seem to stay in his adult mindset anymore.

So, naturally, he stayed locked up in his room for the next three weeks and practiced for the play in between crying, screaming into his pillow, and slipping into his little head space.

He seemed to be crying a whole lot lately, and the night before the play ended up crying himself to sleep.

————————————————————

Roman woke up with bloodshot eyes to the faint sound of his morning alarm ringing. He groaned, grabbing his phone and checking the time. His eyes nearly bulged out of his head.

He had slept in two hours.

Oh no.

He leapt out of his bed and threw on the first pair of clothes that he saw, rushing around the house to wake everybody up. No, no no—he couldn't be late, he was the lead for crying out loud!

He slammed open everybody's doors ad began to yell for everybody to wake up. Nobody was happy about that.

"Roman, why are you waking us up?!" Janus yelled, quite annoyed to he woken up, and by Roman out of all people.

"It's a surpwise!" He cried, before clapping a hand over his mouth with wide eyes. No. Not now. He forced himself out of his headspace, shook his head, ignored the crazy look that Janus was giving him, and went to go and shake awake everyone else.

Groggily, everybody made their way to the car after getting dressed, and as Roman began to drive, he also realized that he had to pee. He figured he could go when he got there, no big deal, he could hold it.

...But then again, in his rush to get up and get everybody ready, he had neglected to do his morning pee. He shook his head, stopping himself from thinking about it, because if he thought about it he would blow everything out of proportion and convince himself that he had to go worse than he did.

Which, couldn't have been by much because he already really had to go.

"Hey, Ro. Can you maybe like—tell us where we're going?" Virgil asked

"After so much stress, there's no way i'm telling you now. It's a surprise"
Roman said.

When they pulled up, everyone was pleasantly surprised. They were at a theatre.

"Roman?"

Roman turned the car off, "I got all of you tickets...to my show."

"Your show?!" Remus exclaimed, "wait—are you a lead?! What show is it?"

Roman shrugged, "you'll have to wait and see."

They all exited the car quickly, their curiosity peaked. Even though they were all still mad at Roman, they couldn't deny that it would be exciting to see him in a professional show.

"I have to go!" Roman cried, both because he had to get on stage as quickly as possible, and because he had to pee so bad.

But he never made it to the bathroom, because as soon as he was spotted by the stage manager, he was whisked backstage and put in his outfit.

He opened his mouth to ask to go before the show started, but his hopes of peeing were crushed when the stage director marooned him in feomt of a crowd of what had to be a thousand people. There wasn't any time to go, the show had to start.

But as soon as he looked out to the crowd, he froze. He had never been in front of so many people before, and he realized that he hadn't been as prepared as he thought he was.

He froze in place, his eyes wide. His legs trembled beneath him, and a whimper tore from his throat. He was so incredibly nervous, and he felt—smaller?

A gasp tore from his throat when he realized that he was slipping into little space in front of all these people, who were no doubt filming him despite the no camera policy.

He felt so small standing up there in front of everyone, and before he knew it, he was sobbing with his fists balled over his eyes, and his legs were growing warm and wet.

The crowd was silent for a few moments, before everybody began howling with laughter—everyone except for his friends.

His sobs grew louder, turning into wails as his bladder was relieving itself of the pressure. He was soaked down to his ankles by the time he had finished, and was standing in a puddle.

Before he knew it, he was being dragged off of the stage by his friends. They were talking to him—there mouths were moving, but he couldn't hear them, he could barely even see them!

"Guys!" Roman cried, "I—I'm so so so sowwy! Pweas don' be mad at me!"

Everybody stopped talking at once, glancing to one another in shock. Roman sounded like a child.

"I know i've been so so mean to you guys lately!" He sobbed louder, "and it was a huge mistake for me to try and keep this a secret, because it made me so stressed and made me snap at you guys, and-and i've just been such a mas—mass—massive jerk lately!" He cried.

Virgil raised a brow. The lisping, the replacing r's with w's, the baby voice, the extreme trouble with pronunciation—he had an inkling as to what was happening, especially if it had to do with stress, but he didn't want to assume anything and make Roman more upset.

"Oh—so you hiding the play from us is what's made you so stressed?" Remus asked.

Roman nodded rapidly, "I don't wanna be mean anymore! And—and I peed! I'm so sorry!"

"Roman" Virgil asked cautiously, "are you...little?"

Roman bursted into tears again, "yes!"

Everybody else stood there confused, and Virgil huddled up with them for a second, "okay, Roman is in little space, which us basically a headspace where he acts younger than he is. If I had to assume, he's like—a toddler right now, so please just be extra nice right now, and help him out and when he's normal again we can chew him out and have a talk with him, kay? Okay."

Virgil turned away, and everyone else looked even more confused than before, but tried to nod along and trust Virgil.

Virgil sighed, kneeling down to Roman, who had fallen on the floor to cry. He placed a hand to his shoulder, "Roman. You have been a huge asshole, make no mistake.." Roman looked down and Virgil continued, "but since you're so stressed and upset, I will forgive you."

Roman wiped his eyes and looked up at Virgil, "Weally?"

Virgil smiled gently, "yes, really. Now, how about we get you all cleaned up, hm? You're a bit wet."

Roman nodded.

"Okay. Let's get you out of this costume and into your spare change of clothes, and when we get home you can have a nice, warm bubble bath, huh?" Virgil asked.

Roman gasped, "bubbles! Yay!"

Virgil smiled, "okay. Let's get going then, huh? We can deal with...everything else later."
