Damien isn't who we thought
Trigger warning: Panic attack, self harm and violence.
Remy's P.O.V—
I was walking down the hall, when I stopped suddenly. I saw him.
Damien "Deceit" Shank.
"No." I muttered. I knew my body reacted to him. But I also knew who he was underneath my favorite snake face.
"If it isn't Remy, my old friend." Lilac growled, slamming me against the wall. Lilac was the actual leader of Damien and his goons. I glanced at Damien, amused.
"Okay, girl, you're getting kinda clingy." I said. I kissed his nose. "If you want this, then you could've just asked." I saw his cheeks flush red.
"Shut up, Remy." Lilac hissed. I saw Damien's eyes flash in recognition, as he knew what I was doing.
"Come on, why don't we go somewhere private, babe?"
"Stop it!" He yelled, and I chuckled at the sour look on Damien's face.
"Stop, Lilac." I looked up in shock at Damien. He put a hand on Lilac's shoulder, and seemed to calm him down. He looked back at me as I slipped to the floor, feeling the blood come up through my throat. He leaned down to whisper in my ear.
"Meet me in the bathroom, Remy." I gasped at the pain in my side. They walked away from me.

I was sitting in the bathroom floor, blasting 'Calling All The Monsters' by China Anne McClain. I somehow hear the door open and I turn off the music, turning to find Damien.
"Hey." He said.
"H-Hi..." I back up against the wall, my breath catching.
"Remy? Are you alright?" His voice was so far away.
"N-No..." I mumbled. I flinched away from his hand as he had tried to put it on my shoulder.
"Remy. What's wrong?" I heard the worry and fear in his voice.
"Panic... Go... Virgil..."
"Virgil?"
"NOW!" I yelled, the tears finally falling.
As if on cue, I saw the figure of Virgil.
"What's wrong with him, Virge?" Damien asked.
"Panic attack." I flinched at Virgil's touch, but relaxed when Damien put his hand on my cheek.
"Why's he letting me touch him now? Why not you?"
"Because he..." I shook my head. "He trusts you more than me."
"B-But... I've always bullied him... Why would he trust me?"
"Just help him while I go get help, Deceit!"
"Okay okay, fine." I heard the door slam and I looked up.
"D-Damien..." I mumbled, my voice shaking. I reached up and felt his scales. I always thought that it was makeup. I let my hand drift over his scar, and I inhaled.
"Remy, what are you doing...?"
"I-I... Your face is so cool..."
"T-Thanks..." I feel a slight blush come over my cheeks as he looks into my eyes.
"U-Um... I'm fine now..." I say, yet neither of us move. Virgil comes back with the nurse and I stand, stumbling but catching myself.

Damien's P.O.V—
"Is he okay?" I ask as the nurse comes back in.
"Yes, he's fine. Just a little shook, that's all. I suggest he doesn't get into anymore situations that might cause him to have another panic attack, and that he doesn't do anything... Irrational." I nodded and the nurse walked away, hopefully getting Remy.
"I never meant for him to have a panic attack Virge..." I put my head in my hands.
"I know, I know. But he trusts you, that's a good thing, right?"
"I suppose." I looked up at the voice, my eyes meeting Remy's. I jumped up and hugged him, burying my head in his neck.
"I didn't mean for this to happen Remy..." I said, my voice shaky. "I'm sorry..."
"It's okay babes. I'm fine, just a small panic attack. It's not gonna kill me." I smiled slightly.
"Shut up, doof." (Haha... Doof is food backwards... Haha)

I walked back to my house, knowing what was bound to happen. I walked in slowly, trying not to wake my dad up. He was passed out on the couch, beer in hand. I quickly but quietly went up the stairs to my room, making sure to barricade my door.
I took the blade that I had hidden under my pillow, and held it against my arm. Hard. It eventually dripped blood, and as soon as I went to wrap my arm, I heard my father's voice.
"Damien!" He yelled. "Your faggot boyfriend is here!" I heard the familiar growl escape Remy's lips.
"Don't." I whispered, knowing he could hear me. I unbarracaded my door, and slowly walked down the stairs. Of course, I saw Remy standing in the doorway, staring daggers at my father.
"Damien." Remy looked at me, a slight pink glow in his eyes. "Let's go." My dad stopped me before I could move.
"Now where do you think he's going, faggot?" He snarled.
"Apparently..." Remy turned back to my father, his eyes glowing hot pink now. "I didn't make myself clear. Damien is coming with me."
"My son isn't going anywhere, especially with a faggot like you."
I hissed under my breath. I hated the way he talked to Remy.
"Says the one who's been planning on raping his son, just because his mother left you for someone else." Remy ducked as my father went to hit him, and poured coffee on him. Remy grabbed me and we ran.
"I'm calling the cops, you psycho!" I heard my dad yell.
"Really? Let's see what they say when they see the marks you leave on your son." Remy smirked and practically threw me in the car.

Virgil's P.O.V—
I knew my brother was hurt. But I didn't know that it was this bad. Damien looked up at me, fear in his eyes as the cops pulled in. I gave him a reassuring smile. We were gonna be okay. Right?
Right...
