Arrival

Have you ever heard of the Gravity Falls? No? Well let me tell you about it. The nickname for this magical place is Monster Falls. People and monsters used to live here as one. But that was long, long time ago... Now there are 3 types if people living here. Civilians, hunters and monsters. Monsters usually live deep in the forests where people are afraid to go. But not hunters. Hunters have such a low self preservation that they go on a long hunts, trying to capture or kill a monster. Two young hunters just arrived to Gravity Falls. Two brothers. Twins. Their parents got to a conclusion that before they go to the senior year they should learn how to hunt. To turn boys into man. They just got of the bus. One with a red t shirt and one in green. The one in green practical ran out of the bus and straight up hit the tree with his head. The one in red facrplamed.

"Remus you idiot."

Remus hot up as fast at he fell.

"I'm alive!"

"Sadly..."

Said the other twin sarcastically.

"Stop being such a pussy Roman! We are going to hunt! Aren't you excited?"

"No. It's cruel! Unless it's a dangerous beast that is threatening to hurt the ones you love. Like a... Dragon witch!"

"There's nothing like a dragon witch dumbass."

They both were interrupted by the sound of a car. A Cabriolet. There was a guy. Slightly older than them with sunglasses and he was radiating sass. He stopped next to them.

"Are you two Roman and Remus?"

They both said at the same time.

"Yes."

"Get in losers were going to your uncle."

"Did you... Did you just make a mean girls reference?" Said Roman while Remus crazily trusting hopped in.

"You bet I did. I'm Remy. Your uncles worker. Usually a cashier but I do shit like this too. More money is more money."

"Okay..." Said Roman getting into the car. He could already tell that this dude Remy was pride as hell. He had a bracelet saying 'love is love' and he had a small price flag in the car. Good. He won't judge.

He drove them to the hut. The touristic trap. The hunting hut. Their uncle was sitting on the porch. He waved at them.

"So you two kids are here for the hunt huh?"

Remus yelled from excitement.

"UH YEAH, DUH!"

Roman bit unsure looked around and said less enthusiastic.

"Yeah..."

"Roman stop being a party pooper!"

Said Remus. Roman rolled his eyes and asked.

"If we're stuck here the whole summer can I go out the first day? City, maybe forest...?"

"Yeah today I don't even have time. You boys go play. Take a knife with you at least. The forests are dangerous."

Roman rolled his eyes again while Remus took a machete from the hut.

"Can I take this instead of a knife?"

"Sure kid, have fun."

Roman headed to the town down the road followed by very dangerous, armed Remus. They walked around the town before Remus disappeared so Ram headed alone into the forest. He was deep in the thoughts before he realized he didn't know how deep he walked into the forest. He could barely see the sun that was hidden behind the trees above him. He looked around. The forest looked like a fairy tale one. He went quite for a moment. Listening to the birds and sounds of forest. He heard a faint cries of pain. Without thinking he called out.

"Hello? Do you need help?"

The cries went even quieter. Almost muffled. He followed the sound until he was close enough to see from behind a tree. He could see a body of a deer. But then. He saw that instead of head and neck, there was human torso, with a head crowned with antlers. This person wasn't facing him, he had deer ears and was crying. Roman looked at him from a far checking why is he crying. This person had a leg in a bear trap. Roman started slowly approach but the deer head Jim and looked at him. When he saw Roman he started trashing around frantically repeating.

"NO! GO AWAY! PLEASE DON'T KILL ME!"

Roman held his arms up so his palms could be visible.

"Calm down! I'm to armed! You're going to hurt yourself!"

The deer resolved to shaking. Roman approached and examined the bear trap.

"I could try to open it for you."

"Why would you help me?"

"Eh... Because that's what good people do?"

"You're obviously hunter... Why would a hunter help me?"

"Because you don't seem dangerous?"

The deer went silent.

"So you want me to open it or what?"

"Oh, uh, yes please...?"

"Okay I'll take that stick over there and hold it open for you."

The deer shaking shook his head. Roman went for the stick and then stick the stick into the bear trap holding it open long enough for the deer to take the leg out, than the stick snapped and the bear trap closed. The deer wanted to run away but he couldn't with his hurt leg. Roman had a first aid kit in his backpack that he had with him so he said.

"Wait! If your leg won't get taken care of you could lose it completely, or die or something. I can help."

The deer hesitated before he stopped turned to Roman and layed his deer body to the ground stretching out the hurt leg. Roman carefully, slowly approached the leg taking the first aid kit out of his backpack. He looked at the deer before he started taking care of him and said.

"What's your name?"

"Does it matter?"

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"So we could be friends."

The deer sigh.

"I'm... Virgil."

"Nice to meet you Virgil I'm Roman. Now. This won't be pleasant. I need to clean the wound."

Virgil nodded. Roman took out some disinfection and a cotton pad. He poured the disinfection onto the cotton pad and started pressing it into the wounds left by the sharp teeth of the bear trap. Virgil called out in pain, pressing his tests together with his hands on the ground. Roman felt bad that he made Virgil hurt even more but he had to. While he was working on the wound he asked.

"How long have you been trapped here?"

Virgil was silent for some time. Than he said.

"8 hours maybe?"

"Jeez. I'm sorry. Humams are idiots."

Roman was looking at scars all around Virgils human part if body while he worked. He must haved lived through hell.

"I can't sew the wound shut but I can put over it something similar."

Virgil nodded again. Then Roman started to put a bandaid around the leg. He finished working.

"Okay Virgil. I'm done. Don't go to hard on it okay? It could come undone and all the work wound be gone. Go easy on that leg. Don't get it too much into the water. If you'll need help I'm around whole summer."

"You are?"

"Yes, me and my twin are here at our uncles place. The hunting hut."

Virgil shivered.

"I knew it. You're a hunter."

"Not really. I find it cruel. I'm not a vegan or something but if animal lives in the wild or a... Monster? Hope that isn't offensive. Then I think they should be left in the wild undisturbed. Or befrended. My brother tho could be dangerous. He's the imbodyment of bad decisions and destruction. But could never taught to be better by the right person."

"I might need some help. But not for me..."

"For who?"

"Come with me."

Roman nodded and followed Virgil in their slow pace. After some time they arrived to a nice pond that looks like it's connected to sea. Sea might be far. But the salt was still in the air. Virgil came to the pond and called out.

"Patton? You here?"

Roman registered some motion in the deep water until he could make out a shape. He kneeled down and looked into the water, face close to the water surface. Than he finally understood. It's a mermaid! The figure was getting to the surface of the water fast. And before Roman could move aside a big splash hit his face. It wasn't a mermaid. It was a merman. His thin almost starved body was tanned and had freckles almost all over it. He looked straight at Roman but seemed like he was looking through. He turned to Virgil struggling to focus.

"Virgil? Who is that?"

"Roman. He helped me. I would die if he didn't come to help me. He's a human."

"Nice to meet you Roman. I'm Patton!"

He enthusiastically offered his hand to Roman.

"Nice to meet you Patton. I'm Roman."

"Thank you for saving Virgil. Without him I'd be a goner."

"How come?"

"I'm almost blind. Can't see well."

"Well if I knew how bad your eyes are I could get you glasses."

"Glasses?"

"Yeah it's a thing you poor or your nose and behind ears and it holds two pieces of glass that help you see in front of your eyes."

Virgil hopped into the conversation.

"Any thick glasses are good for a start. We met each other when he was about to eat a poisonous berries. Mistaken for blueberries."

Roman looked at Patton who's long hair was covering his face.

"Would you like a haircut when I'll get you the glasses?"

"Haircut?"

"Um... Like short hair."

"Oh! I'd love that!"

"Great. I should head back. I don't want my uncle to look for me and find you two. He's a hunter and I don't want him to hurt you two. You seem nice and harmless. I'll look around for glasses that you'll be thick and good scissors to cut your hair with."

"Okay. SEA you later Roman."

"See you later Patton. I'll come here when I can."

"Okay."

"Bye Virgil. Don't get hurt while I'm gone."

"Can't promise that but I'll try." He laughed. "Bye Roman."

Roman took of to go away thinking of how Virgil and Patton can be real. After some time of aimlessly walking he walked out of the forest right in front of the hunting hut. Remus was already there bothering Remy. He walked in and looked around. This place was a nightmare for anyone sympathetic to monsters. He walked to the attic where was their room. There was a window with a snake eye made out of yellow glass. He sat on the bed next to which was his suitcase, he took off his shoes and lay down before he realized. He once for fun bought really thick glasses glasses a prop and he took it with him. He couldn't see anything through it. These might be perfect for Patton. They look like for a old person but Patton won't hopefully mind. He was sore from the walk but that he hear his uncle calling for dinner. He walked down to the kitchen. Pancakes. Sounds good. He ate them, took a shower and went to sleep.

For start this is it I'm still plotting the story line and need to draw Roman's and Remus's design and Remy's but I'm getting there. Hope you enjoyed.
