I just thought I'd tell you, none of them are cis, Pattons trans, Virgil uses they/them, Roman uses ey/em/eirs, and Logan uses it/its pronouns. Just thought you'd like to know :)

Patton walked down the street to his apartment holding bags of goodies for his roommates Logan, and Roman. He saw someone walk out of one of the alleyways and looked at Patton. The person had hair that probably used to be dyed purple but the color had faded, he had on a black and grey plaid hoodie covered in dirt, their face was covered in dirt, blood, and injuries. They looked at him and put their hood up, walking past him. "Hey wait!" he called after them, they snapped their head up to look at him, panic settling in their face. Patton walked up to them "Do you have any place to stay?" Their expression changed from panicked to confused. "I was just wondering you don't have to answer, but if you don't you're welcome to come with me!" Their face turned into even more confusion as they looked at Patton "Me and my roommates have an extra room and we've been looking for someone to come and occupy it!" they looked at Patton, scanning for any trace of a lie, when they found none they looked at the ground.

"You're not lying?" Patton's heart broke at the soft voice, it was scratchy, deep, and sounded like they haven't used it in a while. "No, I'm not lying, now come on!" Patton put the bags all in one hand and grabbed the strangers hand and started towards his apartment, a new found pep in his step.

"My name is Patton by the way kiddo! I use he/him pronouns! What about you?" They looked at Patton again before whispering "Virgil, I use they/them.." Patton smiled at them as he opened the door and walked in, he walked past the people in the halls, not that there were many, and to the elevator. He pressed the button to go to the 5th floor and looked at Virgil once again. They were standing in the corner, scrunched up and as small as possible, "Sorry it's not much warmer in the hallways than it is outside, the apartment will be warm though!" Virgil looked at him "No, it's fine, I just don't like elevators that much.." Virgil glanced around it, like it would stop moving at any second. "Oh.. well, I can show you where the stairs are and we can take those in the future!" Virgil smiled a little and Patton's smile grew because he made them smile. The elevator doors opened and Patton grabbed Virgil's hand and took them to the door marked 528, before opening it.

"I'm back! And I found a roommate!" Patton closed the door behind Virgil as Roman entered the room. "YES! I'm so gla-" ey stopped as soon as eir eyes landed on Virgil "What happened to you?!" ey ran up to them and started moving their head around with eir hands, being careful not to touch and injuries. "I'll get you some clean clothes and show you how to use the shower." Roman speed walked out of the room as Logan walked in. It made its way to Virgil and looked at them closer than Roman did. "Once you get out of the shower I'll clean your wounds.. Then you're telling us how you got them." Virgil nodded "Logan! You sound like your bossing them around and that is no way to treat our new roommate!" Logan nodded "Yes you are correct Patton. Apologies, I did not mean for it to sound like an order, although I am still treating your wounds you don't have to tell us how you got them until you're ready." Virgil nodded and Roman came back, this time with clothes. "Come on, I'll show you how to use the shower." Virgil nodded and followed em into the bathroom.

A few moments later ey walked out of the bathroom and closed the door, the water started running from the shower. "Where did you find him?" Ey asked glancing towards the bathroom "The street, and they use they/them pronouns." Logan nodded, "Wait, so you found a person in the street and decided that they were our new roommate?" Patton nodded "How do you know they don't have a place to stay?" Roman asked "They do appear to be homeless Roman, and severely injured." Logan pointed out, taking Patton's side. The bathroom door opened and the person once covered in dirt and blood now only had their injuries and wet hair.

Patton smiled at them as they tried to keep their hair out of their face "Hold on kiddo! Let me get you a hair tie!" Patton ran into his room and grabbed on off the desk before running back and handing it to Virgil "Thank you.." Virgil took the hair tie out of Patton's hand softly and put his hair into a man bun, now that it was up you could tell that they used to have a half shave but it grew out to where it was just a mess of short hair. "I think we have a razor you can use to fix your hair if you want, we also have hair scissors if you want me to fix it." Roman looked at Virgil who nodded, not liking the feeling of their hair pulled back but also not liking the feeling of their hair in their face. Roman took Virgil into the bathroom and fixed his hair, it took about 30 minutes but Roman finally fixed it to where Virgil's hair wouldn't be in their eyes but they also wouldn't have to put their hair in a man bun. "There we are!" Roman took Virgil back out so the others could see. "You did a great job kiddo!" Patton smiled at Roman and Logan nodded.

"Do you have any questions kiddo?" Patton asked the short ebny. "I do have one.." Virgil said softly, drinking the water that Logan handed him "Why are you helping me? I'm just someone you found on the streets.." Patton frowned at them as their voice got lower "Because your famILY now kiddo!" Virgil looked towards Patton a few moments after he said that, Patton could see the tears forming in their eyes "Kiddo what's wrong?" Patton walked forwards, followed by the others Virgil's voice was barely a whisper "I've never had a real family before.." Patton's heart shattered and he hugged Virgil, followed by Roman and then Logan "Well your famILY now Virgil. I promise." At those words Virgil broke down, the 3 stayed and comforted Virgil as he cried and eventually fell asleep on Logan's shoulder.

It was the best Christmas the 4 of them ever had.

Whats this? Another chapter that I woke up at like 11pm just to upload? Yes, yes it is! Now Im not going to be able to fall asleep again T.T
