Tw: Mainly Patton angst - gets resolved (For any character I'm doing angst for, I will put in the triggers because for sometimes it's hard to read comfort character angst soooo Yh) mention of repressing (poor Patton)

Third person

The tears don't stop. They keep flowing, they keep falling, they keep slipping past his eyelids and down his cheeks, no matter how hard he tries to keep them at bay.

It's not fair.

The gentle soul, losing all hope and faith in anything and everything. The love giver, receiving hate from a hurtful mind. The happy, pappy, fun loving father figure, giving up. All in one moment, all in one second, all in a rush of emotions. The strong dad, breaking into millions of sharp, shattered, glass pieces.

Janus doesn't bother knocking on Patton's door. He just walks in after hearing his sobbing from down the corridor. He knew there was only one person who sobbed the way he did.

Janus found Patton on the floor of Pat's room, crying his eyes out in a broken wreck. He frowns, shutting the door behind him as Patton looks round at the figure in the entrance. His eyes widen, leaping to his feet.

"Dee?!" He forces a smile, rushing over to him. "Anything you need kiddo?"

"Pat, What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just tired." Janus could sense that lie miles away.

"Patton-"

"I'm okay!" He says as he wipes away some of his tears, making his face dry again but his eyes are still puffy and red.

"I know you're not," Janus responds as softly as he could while Patton holds back tears. He says nothing in fear he'll choke up. "Come on, let's watch a Disney film in the living room, no one else is up."

"Disney film? I didn't know you-"

"Liked Disney? I'm part of Thomas, of course I do." When Janus smiles, Patton returns it.

They sit on the sofa, watching Patton's favourite Disney film but soon enough Patton grows tired from all the crying he'd done for the past hour or so. When he looks at Janus, he smiles a little more, a light coating of pink blushing over his cheeks. All he can think about is how Janus was kind enough to stay with him and make sure he's okay. Nothing like that has ever happened to him before but it's a nice change from what usually is the norm. Hiding from everyone no matter what. Repressing all emotions he had instead of telling someone, not that Patton told Janus anything about what made him upset.

Patton falls to the side and onto Janus' chest (Janus was sprawled across the sofa, legs out wide, no dignity in sight really). Janus squirms a little in shock, he wasn't expecting that but he's not disappointed with what just happened. He smiles, wrapping his arms around Patton for him to close his eyes and snuggle into him. Janus rests his head upon his head, closing his eyes too.

It's as if Patton can feel the shattered pieces he had lying on the floor, slowly being themselves back together to form a little hope in his soul.
