Virgil POV

"Virgil, Thomas requires us to prepare a video for his YouTube channel." I hear Logan call through my bedroom door. I say nothing.

"They don't need you, you are the bad guy after all." The voice in my room says in an attempt to scare me. Instead, I smirk at the darkness.

"You don't think I already know that?" I mutter under my breath so the voice can hear but Logan can't. "That's why I'm not going." I already knew that I'm not needed in Thomas' videos. I am a dark side after all so who would care if I didn't go? They'd be better off without me anyway since I only cause them to worry. I'm not needed for anything. I'm just the one in the background.

"Good choice, Anxiety." I lift my hood over my head as I play My Chemical Romance through my headphones. But wait, What if Thomas does something stupid without me? What if he asks a friend to hang out and they reject him for someone else? What if -

"Virgil, are you in there?" Logan asks and I smirk when I hear his voice shake in a weird and subtle way. Aw, is he worried about me?

"I'm not coming." I force myself to reply to him so he goes away.

"But Virgil," Logan actually pauses for a moment in thought, it surprises me. "It would not be the same without you." I look at the door with wide eyes as if he can see through the wood and at my reaction. Without me?

"Without you, Thomas will be fearless!" The voice says. "and that'll be a good thing."

"I know." I state. "Logan I don't want to come."

"Are you okay?" I don't think I've ever heard Logan ask that to anyone before. It's always, how are you, but not are you okay. Never, are you okay. "I feel as if you are hiding from everyone."

"When am I not?"

"That is true. However, I would like you with me to help me with whatever argument Roman tries to start." He says. "It is usually you and I against him and Patton."

"Yeah well I'm sure you can do it yourself."

"I do not want to do it myself. I want you to be beside me whilst we debate."... Why? It's me. I'm not much help.
