After what felt like an eternity of cuddling, Janus' brain caught up with his actions as he opened his now bleary, bloodshot eyes. Virgil was smiling down at him, mirroring his red eyes and tear stained face.

Janus was barely able to hold back a scowl from creeping onto his face. Unfortunately, he couldn't hold back the small growl that resonated in the back of his throat. Virgil looked taken aback by this as he let the smaller side go.

Janus stood up, letting the scowl take over his features. Virgil stood up.
"What are you doing back here?" Janus hissed as he wiped his eyes with his gloved hands. He stepped back slightly as he adjusted his cape.
"Remus told me that he wanted to show me something and I guess it was you." Virgil replied as he nervously tugged on his hoodie sleeve.

Janus scoffed as he threw his arms out.
"Great. Now thank you so much for visiting us but you can leave now." Janus spat as he began to push the taller side out of the room. Virgil stumbled back.
"What do you mean JJ?" the anxious side asked as he regained his balance.

"I mean you can leave now. You're not welcome in here anymore." Janus growled as he locked eyes with his ex.
"What are you talking about?! This was my room and I know you don't actually want me to leave." Virgil retorted as he stepped towards the snake side.

"Oh and what makes you think I won't shove you out of MY room right now huh? Answer me that Anxiety." Janus spat as he stood threateningly in front of the taller side.
"Because you love me Janus. And I love you too." Virgil replied as he reached out to touch mentioned side's face. Janus swatted the hand away as he groaned.

"See? That’s the thing with you" Light sides"."

Janus said as he emphasised the nickname.

"You think everybody is in love with you, when actually everybody hates you."

He spat as Virgil's face contorted in anger.

"You made me like this!"

The taller side shouted as he glared down at his ex lover.

"It was your idea for me to pretend to be a Light side!"

He continued as he pulled on his hoodie, showing off the purple patches.

Janus walked forwards.

"Buddy it's not pretend."
"You are as much of a light side as they come."

Janus said as he walled right up next to Virgil. He looked up at him with pure rage and another emotion in his eyes.

"You think your shit don't stink."
"YOU THINK THE REST OF US ARE DUMB."

Janus shouted as he gestures to Remus who was still stood in the doorway.

"I hate Roman's guts, but here's what you don't comprehend."

Janus said as he poked Virgil's chest.

"AT LEAST HE HAS THE GUTS TO NOT PRETEND TO LOVE ME!"

The snake side screamed as his voice became distorted due to his overwhelming emotions. Virgil realised that the emotion Janus had in his eyes was heart break.

"Janus..."

Virgil whispered as he cupped Janus' face. Janus smacked the hand away as tears poured down his face.

"No, it’s fine!"

The shorter side screamed as he grabbed his head.

"Really fine!"

He threw his arms up as he walked towards the taller side. Virgil began to back up as Janus advanced on him.

"Go be fine!"

Janus screamed as he shoved Virgil hard out of his room. Remus held Janus close to his chest protectively.

"And I want my pink shirt."

The Intrusive man growled before slamming the door shut with a loud thud.

Virgil felt tears prick his eyes as he thought about what he should do. He could hear Janus sobbing from behind the door while Remus no doubt was attempting to comfort him. Suddenly, an idea came to mind. He shuffled over to the door and leaned his head against it.

"I know you're feeling used but I'm still missing you."

He missed Janus so much that he would often glare at his own reflection when he remembered what he had done. He'd had at least 34 new mirrors summoned for him.

"And I can't, see the end of this."

He truely didn't know how this would end. He knew what he wanted to happen but he didn't think it would.

"Just want to feel your kiss against my lips."

He wanted his little cobra back. The one he hugged and kissed every morning. The one who would curl up on the windowsill next to his heat lamp and sleep. The one who acted like a child and wore skirts. The one who was his.

"And now all this time has passed by but I still can't seem to tell you why it hurts me everytime I see you cry."

It killed him to see his baby cry, let alone break down. He just wanted to cuddle and kiss all his tears away as he whispered soft, loving words to him.

"I've realised, how much I need you."

He needed Janus. He needed to wake up with him every morning. To hear his little giggle. See his smile. Feel his embrace. But he had messed up big time.

Janus had perked up after he stopped crying to actually listen to the words Virgil said. In truth he wanted what Virgil wanted. To be with him again.

"You hate me but I love you."
"But you hate that you love me."
"I don't want to but I can't put anybody else above you."
"You hate me but I love you."
"I don't hate that I want you."
"I want to cause I can't put anybody else above you."
"I love you Janus."

He finished his speech as he cried.

The door opened as Janus hugged Virgil. Virgil hugged back as the two interlocked their lips. God did they miss this. Remus smiled fondly at the pair.

"I'm sorry Vivi." Janus muttered as he layed his head into the crook of Virgil's neck. Virgil smiled at his adorable, tiny boyfriend as he rubbed his back.
"Me too little cobra. Me too."

So I altered the second song a lot because he wasn't actually singing it, he was speaking it. I just used the lines for inspiration. - 3-

There will probably be 2 or 3 more chapters in this little plot and then I'll probably make a really long one shot because I have an idea.
