Remus was currently curled up on the couch with Janus cradling the side close. He was crying. Why you may ask? Well let's take a page from Number Five's book and jump backwards in time.

~a few hours earlier~

Remus woke up and immediately snapped his fingers so his clothes appeared on his body. He bounded out of the room and onto the common room. Janus was sat on the couch reading a book. The Duke strutted over in his high hells and pecked his snake boyfriend on the cheek. Janus happily hissed as he marked his place in the book and stood up.

He cupped Remus' face and smiled as he kissed him on the lips. Remus happily returned the kiss as he wrapped his arms around his lovers neck as the deceitful side dipped him. The two pulled their lips away and smiled sweetly up at each other.

"Happy Birthday my love." Janus whispered as he looked into Remus' eyes. Remus blushed as he pecked his boyfriend on the lips again.
"Thanks JJ." he replied as Janus pulled him back up.

Remus said goodbye as he went to go and find his other boyfriends. Yes he had four boyfriends. Fight him Karen.
Anygays, he rose up into the common room to see Logan sat in the corner of the sofa. Unsurprisingly, he was reading.

Remus stalked up behind him and hugged him tightly from behind. Logan was slightly startled but didn't say anything. Remus nuzzled his head into the crook of Logan's neck.
"Hey lolo." he chirped as he vaulted over the back of the couch and into his nerdy boyfriends lap.

"Not now please Remus. I'm busy." Logan said in a monotoned voice. Remus' happy smile faltered as he got up.
"Oh sorry babe. I'll let you work then." he said as he began to walk away. Surely he didn't forget right?

He walked into the kitchen and saw Patton cleaning some dishes from breakfast. He hugged Patton's waist.
"Oh good morning Remus!" Patton said as he turned around in Remus' hold, petting his boyfriend on the head. Remus snuggled into the embrace. Maybe Patton remembered.

"Did you need something baby?" his boyfriend asked sweetly. Remus looked up hopefully.
"You remember what day it is right?" he questioned while he pulled away.
"Sorry kiddo. I'm not sure what today is." The taller side replied as he looked at Remus sadly. Remus felt his heart break a little more at Patton's reply. He had forgotten too.

"Oh uh nevermind Patt. It doesn't matter." Remus quickly said as he walked out the room. He could feel the tears welling in his eyes as he walked to Virgil's room. He knocked quietly.
Virgil came to the door and saw Remus.

"I'm not in the mood to f*ck today Remus." The emo said as he slammed the door in the duke's face. Remus couldn't stop a tear from falling. He walked to Roman's door. He went to knock when he saw a note on his brothers door.

I am going to be on an adventure for the next few days. So unfortunately, I shall not be present. I shall return soon.

Remus was sobbing now. His own brother had gone on an adventure during his birthday. Nobody but Janus seemed to remember. He stormed down the stairs crying, passing by all the concerned expressions from his partners. He threw open the door to the dark side, stepped inside and slammed it shut. He sat on the couch and changed himself onto his pyjamas as he cried into his stuffy. Octo.

Janus walked in and sighed. He sat down next to the man and pulled him onto his arms as Remus cried openly.

That brings us to now. Remus has finally calmed down and Janus convinced him to go somewhere with him. Remus changed back into his normal outfit as Janus grabbed his boyfriends hand
The two sunk out

When Remus opened his eyes he saw the imagination. He felt a tap on his shoulder and when he turned around he almost started crying again.

There stood all his boyfriends and Roman around a cake shaped in the shape of a kraken, surrounded by green streamers and balloons.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY LITTLE BRO!!"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY KIDDO!"
"Happy birthday Remus."
"Happy birthday trash man."
"Happy birthday my love."

All his boyfriends and his brother called out as they ran towards him, engulfing him in a hug. He cried happy tears as he snuggled further into the warmth.

"We're all very sorry for what we said Remus. We had to try and keep your surprise a secret." Logan said as he kissed his boyfriend on the lips.
This kiss was followed by kisses from Patton, Virgil and Janus, as well as a big brother bear hug from Roman.

They had a great party that night and when Roman actually left to go on his adventure.... the real fun began. 😉😉
