Virgil's P.O.V

I closed my phone with a smile. I stared at the wall and frowned '....perfect...' I buried my head in my hands 'what now? I have feelings for him?' i though. 'Why why? Just freaking why?! Why do I always have to be the different and weird one?' i covered my face. '....i'm a disappointment for everyone...my dad...my mom...my brother...' i teared up.

*the next day*

Logan's P.O.V.

Since last night was a catastrophe Roman messaged us saying that we should meet again to do our assignment. He also added that Patton had an accident.

When the time came I got my things and got to the park where we were supposed to meet and wait.

Suddenly two figures came close to me.

"Hey nerd!" Megan said "How was your night with Roman-love?"

"Satisfactory..." I muttered

"Remember what we told you." she gave me her homework "Make a couple of mistakes and use small words this time! I almost got caught!"

"You are preposterous!"

"I won't be offended by something I don't know what it means!" she said with a smirk

"It means ridiculous." I answered but immmediantly covered my mouth

"Ha-ha funny..." her smirk faded "now get this and get it done by the end of the weekend or...your secret won't be safe!" she chuckled while Derek from behind her looked away feeling unease.
I looked at him and immediatly turned back to the homework Megan gave me.

"Fine..." I sighed. How did I get myself into this?

They left, and then Patton who had just arrived, got closer to me, hopping and leaning on a crutch

"Hey Logan!" he waves. "Is everything okay?"

"Oh...Salutations Patton. Yes everything is okay. How is your leg doing?"

"It hurts but I'll survive." he chuckles. "What did they want?" he says seriously

"Um...n-nothing really. Just...returning some books.."

"Logan! That's Megan's homework!" he says glaring at the books on my hands "A-are they threating you with something?"

"Wha- No...!" I put the books in my backpack"...i-it's nothing!"

"Logan! You can trust me you know!" he help my hands. His hands were so soft, warm...making me feel safe...I pulled away.

"Look..." i sighed "I-it's nothing.." i looked down

"Logan-" he was cut off by someone calling our names

"Hey Pat! Hi bro! Sorry for being late." Harley came closer to us.

"Hi Harley! It's okay." he said turning her direction

After a while Virgil and Roman came too. We all sat at the roots of a big tree and started talking about our project.

"Roles..." Roman said "I'll be Romeo, Harley will be Juliet. Now...Logan will have the responsibility for the lights while Virgil will have the responsibility for the sound. Patton will-"

"Be the director!" Patton said throwing him the notebook where he was keeping notes.

Roman sighed "Patton...we talked about this. You'll have the responsibility of the costumes!"

"Why not both?" he crossed his hands

"...fine." Roman answered.

We started rehearsing our roles. The rehearsal went fine so we were all ready to leave.

"Umm...guys? And girl..." we turned to Roman's direction. "I can sense how unconfortable you are feeling so wouldn't it be a good idea to talk and get to know eachother?"

Everyone nodded

"Yeah! What about a Truth or Truth game?" Harley said

"Oh no..." I sighed

"Truth or Truth?"

"Yeah! It's like Truth or Dare except Dare is not an option!" she answered.

"Mkay...?" Patton said and looked around

"So shall we begin?" she asks

"Wait no. I don't think that it's the best idea..." Virgil rubbed his arm akwardly

"Yeah...I mean why no 'dare' ?" Roman asked

"....that's not what I--" Virgil started

Harley growled playfully "Fine! Truth or Dare."

"But--" Virgil tried to say

"Great! Let's begin!" Roman said and we all sat down again. This won't end well...

"I begin!" Harley said "Virgil! Truth or Dare?"

He sighs "Truth"

"Hmm...Do you ever had a crush? If yes. Who?"

He thinks "I had a couple...But they doesn't matter...." he looks down "...they turned out to be....umm...well...horrible people."

O-okay...your turn."

"Logan. Truth or Dare?"

"Truth."

"What was the biggest mistake you ever done?"

My mind immediatly goes to a memory a year ago, the biggest mistake I've ever done and I still pay for...my secret...

"I spelled wrong the word 'biostratigraphic'." I lied

They looked at me in shock

"Nerds' life 2k18..." Virgil muttered

"Virgil! Don't be rude!" Patton pushed him playfully. Virgil flinched a bit and he hugged his knees. "You okay kiddo?"

"No physicall contact please...."

"O-okay..."

The game continued for a bit with more and more questions.

"Patton truth or dare?"Roman asked

"Truth i guess."

"What text were you talking about?" he asked his a serious tone. Patton looks away

"I have to go..." he stands up and starts hopping away with his crutch.

Roman went after him. "Pattom wait!"

Roman's P.O.V.

"Patton wait!"

"What? Roman. What?!" he says angrily "you dare to ask after all you've done?!"

"Patton what..."

"Don't play dumb!"

"I don't play...i am!" I chuckled. He growled. "Honestly now. What? Patton! Show me the text!"

He started tearing up "here." he gave me his phone. I went to our privet conversation and saw a text send by me:

'Hi Derek. Sup? Have you got a minute? I wanted to talk bout the crybaby Pat. Honestlu dude he really gets on my nerves how the heck can I finallu cut knots with him? S.O.S. -Roman'

I blinked and looked at the the screen. Patton was crying slightly.

"Patton I..." he pulls his phone away. "Patton listen to me! I never send that! I would never! Look at me phone!" I show him my phone. The text is not there.

"And? That doesn't prove anything! You could easily delete it for yourself!" he says in a bitter tone

"Patton no! You are my best friend! I-I would never say that!"

"Drop the act! Everyone knows what a great actor and drama queen you are! Leave me alone..." he pushed me away and left.

"Pat..." I know that i hadn't sent that text do who had? I returned to the others, trying to choke back tears and grabbed my bachpack. "I-I have to go...sorry..." I walked home. I went to my room and layed on my bed sighing 'what the heck is happening?!'

Derek P.O.V.

I sighed while we were walking away

"What? Don't tell me that you feel sad!" Megan said

I glared at her "Shut up. You know about my..."

"Disability to feel any kind of emotion." she said with a mocking manner

"It's not funny. It's a disorder that you know that I have." I said seriously looking at her

"Yeah-yeah you are heartless."

"Emotionless." I corected her.

"Whatever. The point is that we have him under control with that little secret of his."

"Yeah...that..." I looked away

"What?!" she said visibly upset

"Nothing!"

"Hey! You agreed to that plan a year ago! So shut it Derek!'

"I know! Don't I AM with you." I said

"Good." she smirked

We continued walking untill we reached her house.

"Goodbye...Deceit!" she chuckled

I laughed and glared at her playfully "Don't call me like that. Bye." I turned and left
