Roman's P.O.V

It's been about an hour since Virgil left and my head is an actual mess.
I'm trying to make a plan so I could talk to Patton without getting anyone involved. Now that I think it twice I wasn't the best friend lately, but I still have no idea what text he's talking about. I checked our phone conversation but there was nothing that seemed rude or insulting. I don't know. I really needed to talk to someome at that point. Derek was going to his grandparents for the weekend so he's offline. I didn't really feel like saying any of this to Megan. I though about Logan but he's obviously avoiding me (one more thing that i don't know the reason!)....also...I-I though about Virgil but....after that akward moment I believe that it would be to akward to talk. I don't believe that he actuallu meant it when he said that I could text him if I needed someone. I mean....he probably just said it to be nice, which is so good from him, but I don't wanna bother him.

I sat on my bed and opened my phone and tried to find Patton's contact. That was it! I had to talk to him. While getting ready to call him, my phone started ringing.

"Hallo?" i answered

"Hi Roman. It's Patton's mom." she sounded worried and like she was....crying?

"Oh hallo ma'am. How are you?"

"A bit worried my dear. Is Patton still with you?" she asked

"No. He left like an hour ago....or more. Hasn't he come home yet?"

I heard the woman exhalling anxiously "No dear. And he's not answering his phone." I felt my heart sinking while hearing her words "Sorry for disturbing you dear. B-bye."

"No problem. Please call me when you find him. No matter what time it is!"

"Sure dear. Sorry for worring you." she hang up.

I looked around my room anxiously, feeling a bit dizzy.
He looked upset. Where could he go. I tried to call him but he wouldn't answer his phone. All I could do is wait.

After some hours that looked like years my phone ringed again

"Hello? Did you find him?" silence "Ma'am? Is everything okay?"

A shaky little boy's voice answered "Hi Roman. This is Iacob. Uh...mom can't talk right now." Patton's brother said

"Is everything okay?"

I heard him holding back a sob "Not really."

He told what was going on. My phone slipped from my hands and I collapsed to the ground whils tears streamed down my eyes.

Patton's P.O.V.

~after he left Roman's house~

I had to leave instantly because I had a message from my brother that mother and father were fighting again and he needed me because he was scared. Lately this is happening all the time. Our parents won't stop fighting and I have to protect my brother.

On the top of all I've got into a fight with Roman because of basically everything that happenes lately with the worst of all that text he send some days ago. Or...for the lack of better words...what he accidedanly said some days ago.

I passed the first road quickly. My mind was blurry and I wasn't even thinking. Roman, my parents, all the school drama with the school president thing and Megan and Derek is causing me so much anxiety and makes me feel so much pressure. I passed another road. I have to go to my brother. He doesn't have to be scared. I don't want that.

One more road. I had to walk a long way to reach home but I prefered to walk.

Onother road and... I can't remember how it happened. All I remember was me trying to cross the road without checking it first, then the lights of a car, a horn buzzing, a sharp pain on my body and....darkness....

Roman's P.O.V.

I tried to get myself together and grabbed my phone.

"I'll be there in a while." I hang up, grabbed my jacket and ran to the kitchen "Dad! Patton had an accident, we need to get to the hospital quick!"

"What?" he left his newspaper away and stood up. After some time we arrived tp the hospital.

We got to the room that Patton was, surrounded by his family.

"How is he?" my father asked

"The doctors said that he was really lucky. He got away with just a broken leg bone and some bruises. He might be unconsious for a while, thought." his father answered.

I stepped closer.

"Let's leave them alone for a while." Patton's mothed said and they left the room. I sat at a chair next to his bed and and held one of his arms.

"Patton..." tears started streaming down my eyes again. "Patton I'm so sorry. For everything. I wasn't a good friend lately and I'm so sorry about that. Please. Talk to me." i lowered my head. I felt movement

"Roman?" he said weakly

"Patton! You are awake!" I said excitently

"What happened? You-you came to see me!"

"Of course Patton." I smiled. "I'm going to call your parents okay?"

He nodded. I called his parents and brother. The room filled with happy voices.

"We should go son." my dad said. After some time we were back home.

I was still worried about Patton. He is always so careful so that means that something was bothering him and I'm afraid that that 'something' was mean.

I took my phone and without thinking it I send a message to Virgil.

He saw it. Suddenly I remembered why I wasn't sending to him all evening but it was to late to take ig back now.

After a while my phone buzzed.

*phone*

Roman:
Hey.

Virgil:
Sup?

Roman:
Oh wasn't expecting you to answer! XD

Virgil:
Why not?

Roman:
Because of that akward moment.

Virgil:
Haha
You are right it was akward
But it didn't mean anything...i mean you have a gf.

Roman:
Yeah righ lol!

Virgil:
So is everything ok?

Roman:
Not really but I don't reallg wanna talk 'bout it.

Virgil:
As you wish.

Roman:
I just wanted someone to talk to
If it is ok

Virgil:
Sure :)

*real world*
we continued texting for a while saying random things until we both got tired and went to sleep.

I'm still a lot worried about Pat but talking to Virgil really helped. To be honest when I first met him I didn't though that he would be a great company because he was giving us the cold shoulder but I guess he is just an introvert and he's a great company.
