One sided anxceit?

Janus had warned up to the other sides. All except one. Currently Janus was heading towards Patton's room to return something and suddenly Virgil came up to him and blocked his way. He had a scowl on his face

"Uhh hello Virgil. Do you mind?"

"Fuck you deceit."

Janus was confused. He hasn't been called that in a while since his name reve- oh shit. Suddenly Janus remembered why Virgil was so upset with him.

~Time to dance into a flashback b!tches~

Nine-year-old Janus and Virgil sat together in Virgils room. Romulus was with Thomas and so was Logan. Patton was taking a nap because he was up all night watching cartoons.

Virgil was super chill back then. The main things he warned Thomas about was when his parents and/or teachers seemed off you know when they say your full name, or when their tone is full of disappointment. Janus had no purpose really. Patton never wanted Thomas to lie. Janus' argument was that if he just lied every once in a while no one would know because they didn't think he'd be capable of that.

...yeah Thomas did get in trouble for that s few times. Poor Patton.

But the two were just chilling in in the room.

"Hey Anxiety?"

"Yeah Deceit?"

"Who are you going to tell your name first?"

"I dunno I was thinking about telling you first in all honesty. What about you?"

"I wanted to tell you first. Then Creativity, then Logic, then Morality.'

"Hmm sounds neat. Honestly I was only considering telling you."

"Ohhh well it's your name your decision I have no say in your name revel."

"Have you been hanging out with Logic? Your starting to sound like him." He laughed

"Ha ha no I've just been reading."

"Hey wanna know my name?"

"Sure."

"Its Virgil. Iknowitskindaanerdynamebut-"

"Virgil? I like it. Its suits you."

"You actually like it!?"

"Uhhh of course I do you dumbass."

"Your the dumbass."

"No you are."

They both started laughing

"But hey Virg. You'll be the first person to know my name kay?"

"Fuck yeah!"

~Now dance out of the flash back~

"Virgil..."

"I don't want to hear it! Damn it your the embodiment of lies!! I should of knowed you were lying to me! Fuck you!"

"I'm sorry all right!"

"No your lying!!"

"No I'm not! I swear I truly honestly am sorry!"

"Why did you lie to me deceit?!"

"I didn't..!"

"Yes you did!"

"Kiddos is everything all right?" Patton walked out of his room to see what was all the commotion about

"Just peachy!" Virgil said and stormed off

Janus sadly watched him walk away. He knew he screwed up.

Patton was shocked at his behavior "Janus is everything all right?"

"I messed up.. I missed up big time.." Janus pulled out what he originally came to give Patton "Here."

"Awww kiddo. Oh thanks but I suggest you go after him. Right now your the only one that can fix this. He may seem angry but right now he probably crying in his room."

"Alright.. Thanks Pat.."

"No problem kiddo."

Janus went over to the room door and knocked on it. He didn't get a response so he just slightly opened the door. "Virgil..."

Virgil had tears streaming down his face "What do you want!?"

Janus came in and closed the door "Virgil... I don't know to prove it to you but I am truly sorry... please you gotta believe me!"

"WhY!? All you ever do is lie! You made Patton upset and question his whole purpose of existence!! You made Roman cry! Why the fuck would compare him to Remus?!"

"He was making fun of my name! Why are you blaming me for there actions?!"

"What is that supposed to mean!? So I'm the bad guy!?"

Janus knew Virgil hated that phrase. It was a very touchy subject "Virgil that is not what I said!"

"You might as well have!"

"Why are you putting words in my mouth?!"

"Oh so your trying to gaslight now huh?"

"Virgil!"

"You pathological liar!"

He'd been called a snake, a old librarian, and a few other things but no one down right called him that. It hurt him. It hurt a lot. "You know what Virgil? Fuck you! I came here to apologize but your just being an asshole." Janus had tears in his eyes

"Well you deserve it! You promised me! But you lied! That's all you ever do is lie!"

That broke Janus he started full on crying "I never asked to be this way! Just like you never asked to be anxiety..." and with that Janus sunk out

Virgil stood there in shock. The guilt was kicking in. He sunk out to find Janus. He sunk into the dark side mind scape and saw Janus Janus sitting on the couch with a bottle of wine and was chugging it. Virgil sat down next to him but couldn't look at him.

It was scarily quiet until Janus spoke up

"You knooow." He drawled out his words being extremely tipsy already "I've alwayssssed like you?" He to another giant swig and summoned another bottle "I liked you soooo muuc- *hiccup* ch. But you don't feel the same." He took another swig

Virgil felt really bad. Took the bottle and dragged Janus to his room. "You should lay down. We'll talk later ok?"

Janus staggered over to his bed and flopped down on it.
