Human AU. Also not a request I just wanted to write something after reading around 150 pages of a book. Don't ask me why! P.s Virgil is very short for his age.

It was a cold winter night when it all happened. Patton was walking down the badly lit street at night. He didn't think much of it since he was meeting his brother, Logan, and his brothers boyfriend, Roman. This would be the first time Patton would see Roman prince.

"Oh greeting Patton," Logan spoke once he noticed Patton only a few feet away.

"Hey big bro!" Patton said to his big brother. Patton was 18 at the time and his brother was 24.

"Hi!" Roman exclaimed. "You must be Patton! I've heard so much about you!" Roman smiles at the 18 year old.

"Yeah I am! You're Roman right?"

"Yup!"

The night went by as they planned until Patton heard a scream. Patton's 'dad mode' kicked in. He ran towards the screaming with his brother and Roman following him in confusion.

When they got to the scene they saw a boy on the floor curled up in a puddle of blood. Someone was standing above the boy with a knife.

Patton, without thinking, grabbed a metal pole that was broken off somehow and attacked the man holding the knife as his brother called the police.

Roman ran to the boy to see if he was still breathing and luckily he was.

"Lo! Help me!" Roman screamed to his boyfriend.

"Okay," Logan ran over and looked over the boys wounds to see which was the most bad. Logan put pressure on the wound to make it slow the bleeding.

Patton had a hard time fighting off the bigger man. He fought his best but the male got the better of Him and pinned him to the ground.

The man tried to stab Patton but Patton held the guys hands so they came to a slight halt. The man pushed harder trying to break Patton's grip but nothing worked. The male stopped when he was pushed off of the younger boy and pinned to the ground by police. 

A police officer came up to Patton and asked if he was okay.

"Y-Yeah..." Patton watched as the young boy was lifted into an ambulance. "Logie?" Patton looked over at his brother.

"Yeah?" Logan looked at Patton with worry.

"Can we make sure that kid is okay...?" Patton asked. His older brother didn't see any problems with it.

They went to the hospital and waited for the boy to walk up. Finally he heard a woman crying. Patton looked over to see a middle aged woman crying at a doctor.

"Please let me see my son! He's been missing for years!" The woman yelled.

"I'm sorry ma'am but your son is in surgery right now to save his life."

"Can... can you Atleast tell me who saved him..?" She asked wiping her tears.

"The three men over there." The doctor pointed at roman, Logan, and Patton.

"Thank you," She said with tear welling her eyes. "You saved my sons life.." the woman smiled.

"Ma'am.." Patton started, she looked over at the man. "If you don't mind me asking how did he end up with the man we found him with?" Patton asked not wanting to upset her.

"Oh... I was taking care of my baby when I heard a knock at my door. I answered and nothing.." she paused. "I went back upstairs to see there was a window open, which was closed, and my baby was gone.." the woman looked as if she wanted to cry again.

"I'm sorry.." Patton spoke looking at the ground.

"It's okay," the woman said.

"You all can go see him now." The doctor said. Everyone there went to go see this young boy.

"M-Mom.." the boy stuttered sitting up after seeing his mom.

"Yes sweetie." She rubbed his cheek. "Met the people who saved you." She looked over at the three other males in the room.

"Greetings, I'm logan."

"Hey I'm roman!"

"I-I'm patton..." Patton rubbed his arm a bit guilty that he couldn't save the boy sooner.

"I'm Virgil..." Virgil whispered. "Thank... you." He said as he looked at the three males.

Some years have pasted since that day. All four of them still talk to each other. Virgil and Patton have even started dating and is very open about people knowing. One day it was on a Christmas holiday and Virgil and Patton were spending time with Virgil's family.

His aunt cane up to the two and asked them something.

"How did you two meet?" Virgil's aunt asked.

"How we met?" They both repeated and glanced at each other with a smile.

"Well lets just say Patton saved my life," Virgil spoke with a smile. Virgil knew if Patton hadn't heard him screaming that he would've died.
