AU: high school AU

You were walking down the hall with a note in your hand. You froze when you saw your crush getting yelled at by another student. You quickly ran up to him and blocked the student from punching deceit(your crush)

"Want me to kick you in the place where the sun don't shine??" You questioned. He shook his head in shook that You were in front of deceit, the most hated kid in the school. "Then leave!" You snarled without warning. The most popular kid ran away, aka Roman prince. You turned back to deceit. "You alright?" You questioned.

"Y-yes..." he was the lier at the school. You knew he meant no but could tell the truth due to a disease he had. You grabbed his arm and pulled him to the nurses office. This wasn't the first time that he had came to the nurses office but this was the first time you helped him. You were too scared before to even do anything... but this time you kinda.. snapped...

You left once you knew he was safe. He didn't even get your name. Everyone called him deceit but no one knew his real name.

You walked to a locker and looked to see if anyone was looking. No one.. good. You turn to the locker pulling a note out of your pocket and putting the note in the locker through those holes at the top. (Have no clue what there called)

You then walked away to your final class of the day.

An hour later

You walk down the hall to see deceit about to open his locker and find the note. Luckily your locker is right next to his. You walked to you locker just as he found the note. He starred at it for awhile and then read out loud. Deceit didn't talk much so everything went silent around him. Everyone froze, even the 4 popular kids. Logan, Roman, Virgil and Patton.

"Dear deceit..

I'm so sorry to call you that but I didn't know your real name. I'm so nervous with writing this to you. I'm someone who's had a crush on you for the longest time. Over time I found out you had a lying disorder. I saw you get bullied and wanted to protect you.. but all I could do was get a teacher to help you. I'm so sorry I couldn't do more. Either way, I know I'll never say this to your face cause I'm way to shy but.... I love you deceit.. I hope I have the courage to tell you it's me in the near future.. if not, I promise to protect you. You'll see me around, but never know who I am.

Sighed..

Deceit was lost for words. He froze as he read the last part and smiled. Someone cared about him. All you could do is look into your locker and finish packing up your stuff with a smile. You then felt someone tap you on the shoulder. You turn around quickly slightly jumping. It was Virgil.

"What?" You snapped, he picked on deceit the most.

"Why don't you tell him? I'm sure he would love to know." Virgil smirked. You went wide eyed for a second before flailing at him.

"H-how did you know?!" You asked, you hated the fact that you stuttered.

"Well, I saw you at his locker, I saw you help him out with sir sings a lot over there." He pointed at roman. "And I saw how you smiled as he read the note." He chuckled and walked back to his friends who was smiling at you. You sighed, deceit will never like you back and once he finds out he'll hate you!

You turned your head towards deceit who was starring at you with a light blush on his cheeks. You had a deep blush across your cheeks. You looked down at the ground. You couldn't see it but deceit smiled sweetly at you.

"Hey..." he said shyly. You looked up finally meeting his gaze.

"H-hi I'm Y/N...." you said. He blushed a deeper red at your name.

"Y/N... such a nice name.." his smile was wider then you've ever seen it. "So you didn't... write the note?" You nodded. "Well I hate you too." A shocked face came upon you. You smiled wider then you've ever had in your life. Your crush like you back.
"Here's not my number." He said passing you a piece of paper, with some numbers on it. You smiled.

"Thank you decei-" he stops you from finishing his 'name'

"M-mason.. don't call me mason.." he smiled at you.

"Well thank you mason." You smiled as he walked away. You hear yelling from the other side of the room. You turn your head to see (your BFFs name) screaming at you.

"DID YOU JUST TALK TO DECEIT?!?" She/he/they said as she/he/they were running at you.

"Uhhhhhh... yeeesss?" You questioned not knowing if it was the right call.

"YES GIRL/BOY/YOU GET EM'" your bff tried to tackle you but you ran away too fast. On your way down the hall you bumped into someone. Your eyes were shut tightly as your bff squealed in happiness. You open you eyes to see mason.

"Oh.. h-hi mason!" You blushed a deep shade of red. He smiled and helped you off the ground. He then kissed you and left you stunned. "I-i... just.... kissed... my.... crush...." it took a moment to sink in when you were in shock. That was your first kiss. You were happy it was him.
