Deceit sighed as he looked around the pitch black room. He'd been trapped in here for a week with no escape, no food or water, no one.. no one would even miss him or search for him.

He felt like dying right then and there. "Deceit?" He heard someone call his name but he couldn't speak since it's been a while since he's actually talked.

"Jack the fibber!" He knew that nickname.. Roman always called him that. Why was roman here? Who was with him..?

Before he could find out he passed out and didn't open his eyes up.

Patton was panicking, he let someone die.. if deceit.. Patton stopped and choked back on a sob.

"Love he'll be just fine okay?" Roman tried to convince his normally happy boyfriend.

"No he won't! Logan said its highly unlikely that he'll live! He's been down there for a week Ro." Patton glanced over at the lying side that was passed out for the past hour.

"I did some tests and research," Logan said entering the room with Virgil who had joined him.

"And..?" Patton asked wanting to know if deceit would be okay.

"As long as he wakes up and drinks, and eats he will be fine. If he doesn't then.." Logan looked away from Patton knowing that this information would only make it worse.

"So... is there a chance he could... fade..?" Patton bit back the words hoping that wasn't the case.

"Yes, it's only a chance thought Patton, it's highly unlikely for him to fade just like that-"

"Ugghhg" They all heard a groan. They friend their attention to the couch to see deceit sitting up. He was rubbing his head as Patton told the others to get water and food. They nodded and ran.

"Hey dee.." Patton walked towards him carefully and smiled sweetly. Deceit looked panicked and backed away a bit after seeing the light side. "I'm not gonna hurt you," Patton said calmly.

Deceit tired to speak but couldn't. Deceit knew whatever happened next he'll fade. He wanted to fade right now. He tried to get up and run but he got up, stood on his feet, for a second before falling. Patton luckily caught him and put him back on the couch, the others cane in the room with a light meal and a few glasses of water for the lying trait.

"Okay deceit, we're gonna help you so you can't leave." Patton said guilty. Deceit questioned why the moral trait would feel guilty for the lying one.

"Here drink some water." Logan sat next to Deceit and made him drink the water.

Roman places the light meal in front of him. Patton grabbed the fork to try and fed deceit. Deceit was weak but didn't understand why they were doing this.

"Deceit you will not be able to talk or do much for a week. I would not recommend trying to speak or walk yet." Logan told the lying aspect. Deceit couldn't answer him because Patton fed him the light meal.

**a week later**

Deceit was thankful the sides found him but it would just go back to normal. Deceit realized how under weight he was.

Patton tried to fed him but deceit would often look away. The lying trait never understood why he did it but he once had a reason and just kept doing it even when the reason was long forgotten.

"Deceit please eat," Patton pleaded with the lying trait that morning. He could tell the Patton was upset about him not eating much this past week.

"Is he still not eating..?" Virgil asked as he entered the room.

"No," Patton sighed out in defeat.

"Deceit," Virgil glared at the lying aspect. "If you don't eat don't think i won't force feed you." Virgil snapped.

"Virge," Patton looked over at his mad boyfriend.

"Deceit, I know you. Or Atleast I did before I left the dark side. Deceit if you don't eat you'll definitely fade." Virgil sighed and sat next to the lying trait. "If you don't eat for me or the others then eat for her." Virgil pleaded with him.

Deceits eyes went wide and looked at the food. He remembered the 'her' virgil brought up.

You see deceit had a sister that faded once Thomas turned 18 years old. Since Thomas did a guy she faded. Her name? Childish. Of course Thomas still tell jokes and may act childish but that's  Morality. He remembered the promise he made to her.
'I promise I'll stay alive, I won't fade.' That promise he said to her when she faded. He gulp and sighed, him still being weak but he went to grab the fork. His hand was shaking. Patton grabbed it from his hand and fed him. From then on deceit tried more and more to eat. He didn't want to start talking yet.

** a few years later **

Deceit was stood in the dark side. He was kneeled down on the ground in front of a grave stone.

He sighed and felt a hand on his shoulder. "Love?" Virgil questioned kneeling down next to Deceit.

"I'm sorry," Deceit broke his lying habit a long time ago.

"What are you sorry for now?" Virgil rolled his eyes with a tiny smile. Deceit always apologizes when it's not needed so they gotten used to this.

"I didn't tell you where I was going.." Deceit spoke eyes still locked on the grave.

"It's nothing to be sorry for." TheRe was a moment of silence before deceit wanted to leave. Virgil teleported them back.

Deceit and Virgil was greeted by the rest of there boyfriends. Deceit smiled a little at all of them.

But theirs two things that he'll never forget.

2. The week he knew they cared about him.
